This is an entirely false represention of the situation. There are only about 20-25 geese and they are not overtaking the park. Also, according to a representative from the NJ Animal Protection League in Califon NJ, the town did not take the proper steps to deter the geese. If you dig deeper, there is another reason why the council is hell bent on gassing the geese now. Nearby development is planned. And the geese don't become unconscious in 30 seconds, it takes 15 to 30 minutes for them to die. Please do more thorough research.

The residents need to get a hobby and stop focusing on the geese. There have been lots of geese in the pond for over 30 years, and not a complaint back then. P-G has become the laughing stock of the entire Tri State area.

Always thought migratory birds were protected by the federal government? I personally don't like geese but for real if you don't want to deal with geese poop, don't go into their ever dwindling habitat . People act like animals just existing is a nuisance, sorry but where the hell do you expect them to go when we bulldoze every piece of open land to put up homes /condos/businesses

    Bring Coyotes to the park

They make robots that use gps to pick up goose and dog poop. Filters can be installed in the pund/fountain. And the influx of geese will bring an influx of foxes and other predators that will stabilize the population.
Also, what the hell did they expect when they made the park a beautiful piece of nature?

Geese are great when you see them flying over and NOT landing. They are incredibly destructive when they are allowed to roost in places they don't belong. Wait until your park is covered with 3 or 4 inches of droppings and your local water sources are trashed.
