  • It keeps looking like Tom Brady made the right decision to leave the New England Patriots for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. When asked if TB12 felt vindicated for leaving the Patriots, Tom Brady Sr. told Tom Curran quote: 'Damn right' and also added 'Belichick wanted him out the door and last year he threw 56 touchdowns. I think that's a pretty good year.' Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe discuss whether Bill Belichick's decision to move on from Brady will go down as the biggest mistake in NFL history.

@UndisputedOnFS1 I love the 20 minute clips of high yield info, however, just like on live TV we dont get to see the video most of the time when they're showing replays or old clips probably copyrights, but i (we) miss that. And they're even more important on this video platform. The only place it isnt needed is the podcast, as it's audio. To the producers money wise, it could be a smart move to make this show a video replay podcast of the show, just saying, I'd watch and so say 2.12 million people as well.

I think the biggest thing here is that Shannon expects Brady to carry literally the worst receiving corps in the NFL when that shouldn’t be necessary. Brady always carried (talent wise) a middle of the pack group of receivers/TEs/RBs basically his entire career. If he has that, he can elevate their levels to Super Bowls. That’s not up for debate.

Excuse Belichick if he wasn't able to put marquee talent around Brady all the talent, but he always made sure that the defense was stout, so he did not let Brady down completely.

Funny thing is…he did carry them.
      12-4
      Made it to the playoffs.
Huge list of stacked teams that didn’t do either of those things.
      Including the Bucs that year.

Belichick continuously received breaks from Brady as he never took market value as the QB and besides Gronkowski, no skill position player ever had huge contracts on the team throughout the 2010s. Belichick also did not draft a single pro bowler since 2013 and constantly failed to bring in better talent through the draft and free agency.

@@urbaindelva7869lots of talented defenses like the one that gave up 41 points to the eagles in the SB 52 what about The talented defense in 2007 that was ranked 4th giving up two touchdowns Eli Manning in the fourth quarter. Here's a good one the 2011 Patriots was ranked 31st overall Tom Brady took them to the SB. Will the 2017 ranked 29th overall. The 2003 Patriots defense gave up 29 points to the Carolina Panthers in the SB what about the 2011 Patriots defense giving up a touchdown to Eli Manning with 2 minutes left in super bowl 46 always had great defenses from what you're telling me. A lot of the reasons the Patriots defense was always ranked high because the offense was on the field a lot more

It’s the ultimate redemption story of the ultimate QB. Remember the the movie The Shawshank Redemption? They had “the guy” doing great things but opposite in New England they got rid of Tom. And he said ok, what team can go to that has the best chance to win? Tampa. Nobody and I mean NOBODY ever thought it was Tampa. But Tom saw it and that team believed they could win a Super Bowl. It’s almost like poetry or a written script. So rewarding that if you hated Brady before it’s almost impossible to hate him for what he did in 2020. Simply the best ever

NE had near bottom-of-the barrel picks for 2 decades, and alot of their best coaches moved on too. You can make up some of that in free agency/trades, but it gets tougher when your star QB is aging, and increasingly disgruntled - mostly because the HC had made it clear for at least a year that he wanted to move on from Tom.

This was a big mistake... but by far, the biggest mistake still goes to Seattle not letting Marshawn run the ball in the last seconds of XLIX. Even NE knew they would run.

Pats personnel mistakes have been plaguing them for years. Why did BB spend a draft pic on Jimmy G if Tom was going to be your guy? Why not instead grab a top receiver for Tom? Why kick out Alex Guerrero from the team locker room and plane who can help aging players like he is helping Gronk and AB still play at an elite level? Why couldn't you have worked with AB when he was in a New England uniform like Tom is helping him in a Bucs uniform? Tom always took less money to get a team around him. Traded Sony Michel, Jonas Gray, Dion Lewis, Chris Hogan, Brandon Lafell, Brandin Cooks?? He wanted to have a vote of confidence with a contract extension, and Bill said no. So this was a huge mistake BB/Kraft made.
