Tom Tom, I must thank you for setting the music at a level that we can still hear you and the workshop sounds, really fantastic
id be happy without it. ive always said i watch these channels for the full fab experience, the narration and workshop sounds but not for youtubes terrible music library...
Yeah, never have understood the “need” for background music. Rather listen to the machines and narration. Good video though, thanks for sharing.
@@JAMESMT-mm6zl time lapse video
Ya, I’m not here for the music
Agreed. Music turned low, is the way to go
You seem to be a very effective teacher. I think you gave Owen both the confidence to do the task and the understanding of why and how. Well done.
Apprentice time of running a grinder with a flapper wheel, or a cut-off wheel, is all valuable. You gain confidence in understanding that it will not kill you if you hold strong. That confidence can't be preached, it must be experienced.
"Yeah"
When I Want To See Cool Vechicles Built, I Go See Paul, Matt And Robby...When I Want To Learn How To Build Cool Vechicles, I Come See Tom Tom. Thanks For Sharing Man🤠
You have to check out @coltbuildsit
He does work like Tom Tom and is in the same circles...
Tom Tom is direct and to the point. No wasted time. I like that.
"Yeah", and "yep", pretty much said it all! Thanks for investing in young people Tom.
Yes, I agree! 👍 we need to pass on these skills to the youth because they aren't taught in most of the schools anymore. Most Jr. High and high schools used to have shop classes, but that isn't the case in many areas anymore.
Tom, your welds look incredible, your skill and years of welding and attention to detail shows in your fabrication, amazing skills
Love to watch the preciseness with which you weld and assemble the pieces. Awesome to watch and learn. Bushyboy Oz.
That's Cool to see those 2 young guys working on your truck
You did great Owen
Hey TomTom. Been following you for more than a minute and I just want to say that I really appreciate the time taken and quality of your videos, not to mention the content. Cheers from Arizona
It is so refreshing to see young men wanting to learn and having a teacher such as yourself to show them the way….well done sir!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks for the scenery Tom that was beautiful
Really enjoying your content, Tom. The canyoneering segment was great, and your fab work is a joy to watch.
I"m so glad he gained a following at Matt's first. Tom is a thinking man and I hope he planned that.
so nice when we see kids helping on this work.
Professor TomTom. Loved that you’re taking time to mentor the future.
People with knowledge need to understand the value of sharing that knowledge.
Love that you and Matt invest the time to teach the next gen engineers and fabricators.
I am so glad that Tom spent time at Matt's RUclips first. I wouldn't have come here otherwise. It is so cool those two go way back. I wonder if Tom planned to get a following from Matt or if he got the idea to go solo from Matt.
Love the transition from "hammering out bump-stop rivets" to "f it, i'm just going to throw the new piece in"
Tom, good to see those young men in your shop learning metal fabriation. You're a designer, a metal worker, a teacher and a renaissance man. Can't wait for your next video.
So cool to watch you teach the boys. Keep it up. The new generation needs you Tom Tom!!
Mattt would be proud of you using a Wood Chisel on metal work
Especially when he used it as a pry bar .. lol
Nice to see the kids working and learning skills . Love the shorts!!!
Tom your videos are the ones I enjoy the most( absolutely no fluff, insanely informative and your demeanor is like a shop teacher that you always are excited to go to class to learn. Thank you, I will watch every video
Really nice to see Tom working with ,& Teaching these young guys
Really love this channel as there is very little not shown and explained. The precision cutting and welding is fantastic.
You're a good mentor and teacher Tom Tom!
Cool trail . And it was nice for the boys to stop by and help .
Glad you've got some help and these guys will learn some invaluable skills!!
Tom's videos are great. Very instructional. And to the point.
Awesome video Tom Tom, keep getting better. Love the teaching moments, pass it on brother!!!! Well done!!!!
These little notches in thr nuts on your heim joints tell you they are left hand thread. Great work, nice to show the young guys the way around your project.
The young guys both came with a good attitude. Great to see it.
I love watching this well thought out project coming together so well! And I enjoyed the side trip up into the mountains, that was one tough but rewarding hike!
The trucks coming along nicely, going to be great when it’s done. Those canyons were amazing.
best part of this video was bring in some young men and teaching them .
Nice diversion trip, along with some super cool fabrication. Thanks taking us along. Look forward after every posting the next.
Truck coming together. Nice playground with great scenery.
So good to see kids wanting to learn something other than phones and video games.
Tom, it is so nice to actually see someone prep an area to be welded. I have seen so many RUclips video's of people welding through all sorts of junk and it makes me cringe. Great video! Keep em coming!
You’re good at making these videos Tom. Thanks for teaching us.
Love the integrity of your personality and that you share it with the youth. Keep it up brother
Awesome Awesomeness job job Tom Tom !!
My heart skipped a beat when I saw you using a wood chisel on metal. you are usually meticulous. I must realize that you and Matt are human and can not exceed my expectations. thanks for the builds. Work safe have fun.
Those Diablo metal blades are awesome. A while back I needed to cut a bunch of angle for a project for my service van. My go to has always been a grinder with cut off wheels. I'm not a fabrication pro so investing in fairly expensive steel working tools doesn't make sense for me when I'm just doing little odds and ends type projects. When this project came up, I looked at a few different chop saws and such, but I just couldn't justify the cost. I did come up with a solution that didn't break the bank. I bought a cheap 7 1/4" miter saw and a router speed controller from Harbor Freight and a Diablo metal blade from Home Depot. The speed controller slows the blade down but you lose a bit of torque. It still cuts quickly and cleanly. I was intially worried about the metal shavings getting in the saw motor but I've literally made hundreds of cuts with it over the last year and a half without problems.
All in, I've got about $150 in the setup. It's a pretty good, cheap alternative that will work for the average hobbyist.
I appreciated the speed of saw concept. I had contemplated putting a cutoff wheel on my miter saw.
LOOKING GOOD!
Keep up with the good work love watching your videos
Your the man Tom. Love watching you live life past its fullest.
Thanks for the info on the saw!!
Hi mate love watching your videos I love how much care you take working on your truck looking forward to seeing more of your work as you progress
Man Tom Tom those control arms look great
Tom Tom, You are killin it!!!!! Love the channel and the way you really explain the process and "teach" how things work together. I am learning a lot from watching! Keep up the awesome job!!!
Thanks from Lubbock, Texas
I think that you should add some strength behind the steering box. If that frame is gonna RIP, it'll be where the torque is applied!
Great vid! Thanks!
And now it won't let me edit to say, and then you did!
Amazing erosion, sure would've loved to see it, so many thanx for the hike ! & all that other Kool stuff! Lol!
I have owned a couple of those Chevys, everyone had a brake in the steering box area, including a blazer that my dad had. Good stuff, HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!
Dig Dug is turning out to be an incredible rebuild. Sometimes it amazes me how much attention you put into your angles and welds without really acknowledging them much. I can’t wait to finish this project with you. It’s easy to see your passion for Dig Dug. I just wonder if you put as much passion into your wifes’ “Honey-Do” Lists? 😊 Thank you!
I was always concerned that it would not be a viable rig as he used it on Matt's channel. I thought the short wheel base was damning. Now I see that it was just a super rough start of a truck.
exited to see the final digdug.
The truck is shaping up quick tomorrow. Looks good
I really like how ur reinforcing behind the steering box. Mine cracked years ago and continues to be a pain in my butt
Great job. Thank you 😊
This is great seeing young men doing something other than video games. I'd like to see their young ears protected from the sound so they don't end up like poor Mr Ed over at Matts
Excellent job Tom Tom! That Chevy's going to be a beast!
I loved this video and all I have watched. You do a great presentation Tom Tom!!
Dig dug is looking great Tom Tom
It cool that you show each step. Thanks
Love watching your fabrication skills!! We need a DIY angle grinder kit for sale!!!!
Hi Tom Tom I have say your videos are a pleasure to watch, the way you work things out and fabricate the parts you need, keep the videos coming.
I respect your skills. Great work and knowledge as always. God Bless America
Another great video, Tom. I always feel like I've learned some useful stuff after watching your videos. The timing and delivery are spot on. See you next Sunday.
Thank you for another fantastic video!!
Definitely been watching what Tom Tom's been up too lately. Keep it up!
Great video. I appreciate the work you put in.
Love the content and the presentation. Those 2 boys are getting experience that will be with them forever. Don't worry about knocking us over with the camera occasionally; it reminds me of working for my dad growing up 60 years ago.
You make it look so easy Tom. love your channel!
Beautiful hike!
Need to get done. I like it when you're 4 wheeling
Home run brother keep up the great work and amazing content respect
Saw you weld up some parts in the last video, your fresh welds looked like most people's welds I've seen after they clean and grind them down some. They were fantastic, you've got some excellent skill.
With grinding need hearing protection along with eye protection.
That was an epic hike.
Another great vid Tom. I like your shop work and that trail video with your family was fascinating and entertaining.
Tom really like that you have a couple of future mechanics and fabrication young ones with you form time to time , they appear to like what they are doing ,which is important
Tom is the funniest guy on the internet. Always entertaining 😂
Very enjoyable presentation.
You’re doing a great job on your truck 👍
I must say you have a good thing for , as Paul would say, measure taping. Great looking job on Dig Dug and you take time to enjoy nature. Hats off to ya !
THANKS FOR ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO
Love the drill bits lol
Thanks for sharing !
Very nice work.
great as always great content very entertaining
Slot canyons are so cool!
Giving Matt a hard time using a claw hammer working on metal and then Tom Tom using a wood chisel on metal. Exactly how I would do it. Lol.
If it's disposable and works, is it really the wrong tool?
Love the progress! 😎
You have put a lot of time into Dig Dug and it will be an awesome pickup when your finished.
Teaching children to create. No cell phone needed. Well done Tom.
I really like how ur reinforcing behind the steering box. Mine cracked years ago and continues to be a pain in my butt I’m gonna order that part right NOW
I love your beautiful welds, and I love Dig Dug. And I used to be pretty good at playing Dig Dug by the way.
Nice work Tom ,!
Old man noises are a requirement of a quality job, well done…. Dad noises are a requirement of getting ready in the morning…. Man noises are required any time you pick up anything cool like a tool, man toy or any random object you find cool.
Very good video. I really like how you explain things easily.
That tube bender is cool. I would love to build one like it.
Great vid, TomTom!
"Guess Angela took it...." Hahahaha - You definitely know how the universe works. I'm currently looking for several dozen things that my wife no doubt misplaced when I wasn't looking.
