The girl on Marimba & Xylophone , BADASS !
my school's wind orchestra played this song for national competition and we won!!
I played mallets 10 years ago and this piece was a beast. Still love it til this day!
We played this in middle school band and it got us into the National Concert Band Festival
My director says that my band could play this and it’s a middle school band 😂
everyone’s talking about trumpets and flutes suffering but this piece kills horns
and clarinets
@@emispaced facts I play clarinet I can relate I went thru hell to master this
Look at the mallet part 💀
real
Imagine playing timpani, woodblock, bongos, triangle and wind chimes
I was going to play all of those in my March Uni Concert, but COVID-19 happened, and that luxury was taken from me
f
we played this and almost fell apart. you have to really be focused on this song
Dead ass... I am in the honors band at my middle school and we are failing terribly at it.
It tends to be like that if you're playing Holsinger's music
I played this in high school first clarinet and it was so hard but it was great ❤️
RIP Trumpet Player Chops
Including mine
***** Lol yeah. I need to practice more xD
***** Yeah, lots of homework and stuff
+Mr. DPJ21 Ya, playing this in high-school, and I am the only trumpet. DX
RIP second clarinet
At least you didn't have straight eighth notes for a third of the song like trombones.
Just played this with my high school band, it's a bitch. I feel like they weren't always on the beat in this version, but maybe that's just me.
Lillian Bleano I feel like it is a little sped up
Lillian Bleano yeah it feels like the tempo was weird, not that it’s sped up or slowed down. Just got off at times.
Oscar Hinojosa yea there out of time in some spots
@@diorjacob9102 The first trumpets didn't play the right pitched a couple of times, not hitting a high c or overshooting an F# at the very least
Playing flute to this is a complete challenge. But I still love it
I remember playing this in my freshman year spring festival. We placed 1st and i was the only 2nd part alto sax in my section out of 4. I've been looking for a video on this because it was one of my most favorite songs ever played and still is... ^_^
Played 1st trumpet on this, a week or two back. Man did it bust my chops. But it's a hell of a song.
bruh i know right
I played mallets in this song, it was so difficult!! However, wonderful piece to listen to :) I love this!
Currently playing this in band. LOVE IT!
DR. David Holsinger is my idol
bravo. i love this! i directed this piece for competition n we won. finally i found a recording that i can learn from :)
I like this music very much.
This is very cool.🙆🏻💕
this song is so hard to play for a euphonium, especially when you're used to playing low. but my band is great at this 😩
Imagine having to play 4 mallets with the marimba and xylophone parts at the same time?!!!!! That's what I did. I swear my fingers will never be the same XD
we're playing this this year and since we're but a high school it's slowed down as of now
Played the timpani for this in my HS band... great song!
Great performance !!
Plases this song 1hr back to back rip chops
i love it!
Playing this in clarinet was a TORTURE
this song is not fun to play (honestly what nightmares are made of) but so fun to listen to and really well written
@C2xEditor Yep!
We play this piece from our concert band.
I lost my sheet music for this a week before a competition.
what a shame
Im playing mallets 2 i think but the instruments are crotales bells and chimes but im doing the crotales part on the bells bc we dont have any and the chimes are ass hopefully we get better chimes by the concert
My director is planning on doing this next year. Hopefully well sound as good as u guys!
this song is so hard to play for a euphonium, especially when you're used to playing low. but my band is great at this
We played this when he first write it back in 98 or 99 for Texas Area All Region Band and I was first chair Euphonium and it wasn't a joke
Holsinger was our conductor
this reminds me SERATAS 2011
I played the baritone for this in 8th grade.
how does this have less than 1000 views?
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Just play this with my primary school. I 1st trombone.
nice
It's the tuba part
the flutes are lagging a bit, but having had to play this for school, i understand completely
É de se arrepiar
Uh no sir. The man playing temple blocks is on the far left side of the stage at the very back and the man playing tympani is on the right hand side.

Temple Blocks/Bongo guy is missing so much of the song.
Damn I'm surprised my hs Wind Ensemble played this a lot cleaner 😳 (eldorado hs placentia CA)
Its the quality of the Video Camera and mic 🎤
Go Golden Hawks!....
this is pretty damn flawless - but there's no bass! Is it scored for one?
Marching band version maybe? ;)
Tenor sax dies at 210-215

I love this piece so much
Wanted to play snare drum for this, but no, I get the freaking 20 some pitch changes timpani part. Still a great song though, but my fellow Junior High students do no believe we can play it. We'll see.
I have timpani part too 😫 sooo many pitches it's ridiculous
It's honestly not a hard timpani part at all. The only tricky part is the pitch changes, but it can be solved pretty easily if you play using a stool.
Yeah I do see now, I've practiced the part for a little while now and it's a piece of cake for me. To be honest the snare drum part is more difficult and I'm glad I didn't get it.
Justin McGrath I played snare for this my senior year of high school. Was a nice challenge.
+Tarik Kdiry I play snare drum for this too! It's a really fun part.
audition music LOL.
