That Buckingham/McVie album is amazing. I got a front row seat to their show . Incredible.. I agree.. I consider it to be the last FM album as well.. :)
Every time I open a case of CDs to take something out for a video, I see loads of albums I need to spin again. Even just tonight it happened. So, here at the start of your video, I’m curious to see what you bring up.
Islands was a collection of leftover songs (as old as 1972), and a few newer ones, that were put out because of the dreaded "contractual obligation", but I really like a lot of it: Christmas Must Be Tonight, Knockin' Lost John and The Saga of Pepote Rouge. And I think Levon's vocal on Livin' In a Dream is great, and Richard on Georgia On My Mind. It's the one I listen to the least, but I'm going to put it on now that you've reminded me! After Morning Glory my favourite is probably Don't Believe the Truth, but I thought Dig Out Your Soul was really good. If they'd stayed together I think their next record would have been even better - the first High Flying Birds album had some great songs on it. I heard about Longbranch Pennywhistle on Hedley's channel a few years ago, but I'd never heard of it before that. I bought the reissue and I play it fairly often. I rarely put Harvest on anymore. I think I'm more likely to listen to Tonight's The Night or Rust Never Sleeps (or Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere or After the Goldrush)!
Glad you jumped on this! I have several albums I don't listen to regularly, but like to have for when the mood strikes. Most of my Neil Young get a regular play, though. Nice chatting with you on stream last night! Sorry about all the boomer issues I had with my camera, though.
Harvest is the one……resurrect now Rob and re-spin, it’ll reward you. Other than the Buckingham McVie I haven’t heard of the rest, even the Oasis one didn’t get much press in the UK. But interesting subject that afflicts us all 😂 Mike
I have that Serena Ryder album on CD, and one other. But, I don't play her anymore either. I guess Serena was forgettable. 😊 Neil Young's "Harvest" is in the running for my favorite Canadian album of all time. I think the whole album is brilliant. Maybe you'd like Neil's more rockin' sound better?

Good to know about Island. I had no idea.
Interesting video idea. Harvest! Put that on your turntable right now 🙂On the other hand, I haven't heard any of the other records in this video.
I will. I will. As for the others, not surprised. Little too mainstream for you.

Thats a great idea for a video.
Thanks. It just sorta came to me 🤣
A follow up video (after listening to these albums) would be interesting.
Absolutely will do a followup
