Hi Christina,I followed your pennine way adventure & what a great set of videos it was to,I’m looking forward to your 2025 walks but for now happy Christmas & a peaceful new year, all the best Colin P❤️👍.
This brought back lots of happy memories of my first Pennine Way Hike in 1976, sunny days with peacefull nights wild camping on the moors. Happy Hiking. Tony in Essex
At Middleton I camped in a field next to the River, the sound of the River soon had me snoring and like you my end of day hike ended at Dufton. lucky for me it was dry as it was in the middle of Summer 1976
This was my first visit to Keld, but it was not my last as I returned again on my West to East Coast to Coast, then again on my North to South Pennine Way and again on my East to West Coast to Coast, my final visit to Keld was on my 2010 hike from Darlington to HIgh Force, Highcup Nick to Dufton, to Kirkby Stephens to Keld, to Richmond hike. So many happy Memories of Keld and the Peace and Tranquility I found there. Tony in Essex a retired Hiker
I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did when I first did the Pennine Way and I will now look out for more of your UK Hikes as I enjoy your relaxed style of Vlogging. Twenty three days Until Christmas and I hope you have a pleasant time with your family and BoBo. Tony the Retired Hiker
I enjoyed it so much that im coming back to do it again. Ill be doing the Cambrian Way late April, Offa's Dyke Path mid-May and a new route called The Northern Trek late May through June 2025 which includes the entire Pennine Way
After going over Pen-y-gent I carried on for a few miles before overnight camping along the Green Lane just before the very big Rail Bridge where in the morning before starting that days hike I witnessed a Steam Train going over the Viaduct. Then it was onwards via the green lanes to Hawes then across the field to the Small Village of Hardraw, where behind the Pub is a small valley with a Waterfall that was in the Robin Hood Prince of Thieves movie with Kevin Costner.
One thing to remember to purchase before your next UK Hike is a few bars of Kendal Mint Cake, an almost 90% Sugar Bar which means an instant Sugar Rush.
@@hikersheep There are several types, Plain White Sugar and Mint flavour, Brown Sugar and Mint and a Chocolate Covered version, unsure what flavour that on is
Also as it is made with 90% SUGAR it gives a good energy boost when the legs start getting tired in the last few hours of a hike or those last few hundred feet to climb on higher hills like the Shill on your last day of the Pennine Way into Kirk Yetholme
I am so very sorry you did not get a chance to see the Scyamore Gap tree before you left Hadrians Wall two criminals chopped it down with a chainsaw two years ago.

What a beautiful episode! You captured and edited this whole video so beautifully! Flawless work
Thank you so much! :D
From the depths of my Memory the rail line you are walking near was used in the Railway Children film that was filmed in the 1960s with Hayley Mills.
Oh this would be so beautiful in the late spring!! (I'll have to finish watching later this week!)
@@melaniegarden3416 its divided into chapters so you can watch in sections :)
Six weeks after completing the Pennine Way I was on the Military Ranges on the other side of that wire fence doing my 13 week Military Service.

Looking at my PW Book it took me 11 days and 9 hours.

Yea I know. Me too. :/
Except in years of extreme drought the Pennine Way is either Boggy or WHITE depending on the time of year you walk it.
