  • Welcome to Season 4! Our Baja Mexico #Vanlife Series. We are Wiley & Dre and in this series we take our Van, Uhuru, and our Siberian Husky, Maisha international to Baja, Mexico. This season we wanted to explore some uncharted territory in our van and cross international borders for the first time!
After enjoying Bahia Concepcion for more than a week it was time to continue south. A short drive from Armenta Playa we found ourselves in the coastal town of Loreto. This town grew to be one of our favorites in all the towns we visited in Baja. We camped at an RV park conveniently located one block from the center of town which allowed us to really explore the local cuisine and sites. We take you to one of Baja's National Parks (Isla Coronado) where we see hundreds of dolphins, snorkel with sea lions, and relax on an uninhabited beach with the most turquoise waters we've ever seen. Lastly, we take you into the lush mountains outside of Loreto to San Francisco Javier Mission.

In 2001 I rode a motorcycle to Cobo and back from Seattle and on the trip back we stopped on that same beach for the night. looks like the huts have been rebuilt since than because the ones that were there when we were there were in bad shape and not as big. we met some Hippie from Canada that was living there in one of them. I remember the next morning waking up taking a leak and hearing the water splashing and looking out on the water and seeing hundreds of dolphins jumping and the hippie spearfishing for breakfast that he shared with us. Good times!

Wow!!! I'm happy for you guys. After waiting that long for endless winds to depart, you got a truly amazing day there by the islands. Beautiful. I think I'm going there in the next few wks. Moto camp all the way down there and back to San Diego.

Great video! We have been to Loreto on two separate trips. We stayed about 35 minutes south at the Villa del Palmar Islands of Loreto. Snorkeling was unbelievable, I also played golf. Swimming with the sea lions had to be exciting. We plan to go back next year and we will take that tour. Did you ever eat at the restaraunt Mi Loreto?

We've walked by it several times but never are there. We will have to check it out next time we are in Baja. We always stop in Loreto.

We set everything up from Romanita RV. It was $125 USD for the boat and you can have up to 4 people
