RBS 🫡
This comment is hard as fuck 🫡
The real ones
RBS all day also that shout be a fest now the RBS show few years back was to epic not too
It’s funny how Chris seems to have absolutely no idea how the DIY hardcore scene is, how everyone knows each other and how everyone just books their own stuff lol
Well yeah, they have a record deal and are backed up’d by deep pockets. They get catered to, they just show up and play. I don’t blame him at all.
And if Throwdown was new and blew his mind it was only a few more years before Suicide Silence was signed. Not everyone came up through that hardcore scene in the 90s that was involved in heavy music in the 2000s.
I found Sunami about 2 years ago and they are one of my favorite newer hardcore bands but I never knew the history behind them. Learning about the history of the name and the fact that they started as a joke is fucking hilarious, also the fact Josef listened to nothing but Big L when writing lyrics is fucking amazing, it makes perfect sense in hindsight. I love this band even more now
Need more ogs like merauder death before dishonor denied terror etc 90s early 2000s
Don’t forget az he’s underrated
I'm 36 years old, grew up in San Jose, went to shows at the Cave. Love to see that the Bay is still flourishing
Sunami are one of my favourite hardcore bands!
love the pfp
It stokes me out when garza tells his guests he's honored to have them, LIKE DUDE YOU'RE IN SUICIDE SILENCE
Lol
I get what you're saying but chill on the fan boy mentality lol. Garza is a normal dude. Hardcore isn't about larger than life images. It's about real motherfuckers, down to Earth, keeping it real, keeping it heavy, uniting and supporting the hardcore scene. Suicide Silence is just a dope band from the IE. Guarantee Garza doesn't want people praising him like he's someone super duper special.
saw sunami play in brissy couple weeks back, i saw josef talking to someone at the side of the stage so i walked over hoping to get a photo but he said after the show and i was cool with it, by the end of the show i try to find josef on stage but i couldent find him so that bummed me out a bit but i got a pic with everyone else, theo and mike on stage and benny chilling at a corner store, it was a insane night and hope they come again soon, the most nicest band i have ever met... theo was a g
one of the best drummers in the game
Chris just want to say this podcast is amazing and is a huge service to fans of all types of heavy music. Stoked for the … suffo episode 🤫
My 12 year old daughter's favorite band. She got a chance to see them last summer at the TIHC pre-show.
That’s bad ass
Met and had a small talk with Theo during their Manila leg, very very cool dude! Seeing Theo playing my bass is such an honor for me. Seeing them live is a dream come true for me and my bandmates. Ever since we heard and covered Contempt of Cop we are eager to get that RBS sound that is distinct to them. Our vocalist wanted a mix of Sunami and Snuff on Sight sound.
Sunami reppin SJ all day 🫡🔥🔥
Garza with another great episode
what i love about chris is that he ain't afraid to simply talk. like just to talk. and it works out in the best way for him unlike where some people just sound like they either just wanna hear their self or just fill the space in the room
CHRIS PLEASE PLEASE GET 200 STAB WOUNDS ON
Nah man he’s gonna get stabbed, jk
Agreed!!! 🔥
BLEEDING THROUGH NEEDS TO BE ON THE POD🤘
Incredible interview hosting. Saw the video was a hour long, thought I'd listen to 5 minutes, here I am at the end and behind with work. Thank you so much!
prolly best podcast to ever be put out. Real bay shit
real cali hc shit 🤘
Super solid band and group of guys. Got to chop it up briefly with Benny on this last tour. Super chill dude.
Caught them back in February, fucking amazing to have real hardcore come back around
Knocked Loose needs to be here!
FACTS
No.
@@ethanjim8829 L
my mans definitely needs more hardcore bands on here lol. bands like lorna shore, left to suffer, etc. are ushering in huge waves of fans to the heavy music scene but these guys, turnstile, and knocked loose are giving it way more exposure to the mainstream audience
those bands are not hardcore lol
@@ggallan2424 what about Turnstile and Knocked Loose? Both of those bands at least started as hardcore
@@sickfitz4256 Yes those are, he's talking about Lorna Shore and Left To Suffer. Those are not hardcore bands, not a part of this scene, have nothing to do with Sunami or any hardcore bands relevant right now.
I have these guys on a playlist I play Chivalry 2 and MK11 to all the time.
They are great, but I'm afraid now I'm too old to enter a pit anymore with young dudes lol. Thanks for covering these guys, Garza! And Fear Factory (er whats left of Fear Factory)
i appreciate how he is being honest on not using eq
i love this band! hope u to see them play in manila soon
I love this band.
Yeah, they drop hard man
@@karnagefails333 I was born in San Jose, they make me proud to be from there. 🎉❤
2 minutes in, "Couldn't go to Pantera when I was 12 so I went to Throwdown." hahah liked and subscribed bro
Sanguisugabogg next
Big Luv from EAST world, dudes!
Eastside San Jose 🫡
$$J yeee
I remember coming from LA for Real Bay Shit!!!
I can't believe bro never heard of Big L. That's wild
Big L and specifically Lifestylez is so criminally underrated. The mainstream never gives him his flowers.
@@griffithsethanfr I put him over 2pac
sick man im pumped for this one
Joey karate! What's up uncle Joey?
Where's the flying jew?!?!
It's funny that Chris tried to see Pantera and couldn't so he saw Throwdown instead, 'cause they had a phase where they sounded a lot like Pantera.
Great interview!Peace out from a metal/hiphop head 🤘👊 btw BIG L was the best of all times!R.I.P
sick ass video, my sister put me on with sunami. reppin SJ💪🏽
Is a talk with Justin Horval still in the works? Justin may come across as aggressive on his channel but he's just busting chops - it would be an epic episode and good exposure for both of you
I want to hit him up soon for sure. Gotta get through this tour right now. I agree. He's fkn funny & the dynamic would be sic. -GaЯza
Damn that would be a sick ass dream come true podcast. I want to know more!!
@@GarzaPodcast Holy shoot, im glad he didn’t rub you the wrong way, hes just serious about what he does thats all lol. The guy is just full honesty really.
I love how it started as an almost joke and then they just kept going. They really seem to be utilizing social media in a strong way too.
Have more hardcore bands on
Ohhhh shitttt
dude being inspired by Big L is so fucking dope
Yupp shoutout to the homie Mike!
I got a photo with josef at the recent atx show and he was very quite
I got to see pantera in the 90s 6 times Dime was a Beast best shows I have ever seen
Lucky bastard; Never got to see them ever. I'll bet you'll never forget that 🙏
I was only pre-teen and discovering them then
@@karnagefails333 am 48 years old that was me and all my friends favorite band
I have never cared for them cause it felt like wannabe tough guy shit and it was just musically so dumb. Turns out that's exactly what they were going for and now I'm a fan lol
dude thats funny af dudes just throwing hands with boxing gloves 😂
So sick to hear the RBS show story told from them I was there been in the scene since 2005 and this show felt like i was 15 again its was wild we all had fun like they said no cops fucking vocalist Zack from Elysia came out it was wild seen homies i havent seen in like 15 years at the show all around amazing time I wish it was a festival.
THERES 2 TYPES OF PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD

Stop it 😂
the meme in the middle is classic
Rip Showcase Theater
Still pissed that I missed seeing these guys in White Rock, BC earlier this year. Really says a lot how fast it sold out. Next time they come anywhere up here I’ve made it my mission to see them lmao.
Yo I missed that show because of work super bummed. Pretty random for them to play White Rock that's dope
@@weekendnachoz Yeah, I was really excited since I live in Langley and it’s considerably closer than travelling all the way to downtown Vancouver. I even got work off and all that, but me and my friend missed presale and despite going early we were still too late. I’d love them to play that venue again so we can get redemption
@Hannah Kozlovic Damn. If they ever come back I'll C U in tha pit 😄
Damn they didnt mention that gulch played the intro to triumph with zak vargas
Boy Meets Core
Gotta get snuffy on here
Suffocation legends New York slam Deathmetal !!
Slam !?
Dang Chris, no mention of skate land in Whittier. No mention of impending doom?
🖤💚♥
intro music?
That Project X reference.
Its not about how long youre edge its about how often u claim.
Anybody know the band on the hoodie Garza is wearing?
brand of sacrifice
coffee and pantera hahaha
Did he call scalpers, scopplers? 😂
Break The cycle is coming up real quick that band started a year ago and there on tours they played with momentum they played with DRI man this band is blowing up Chicago hardcore.
hey hey now Fresno and the rest of the LCV do not claim SoCal and we also don’t claim the Bay
Is he de guitarrist of suicide silence?
BIG L REST IN PEACE
Sunami Style
I wish you would bring on Zao...they don't get near enough credit for what they did for metalcore.
My sis’ ex put me on Zao they koo

Vein fm needs to be here!
200 STAB WOUNDSSS
Lot of really ignorant quotes on this episode shit is great.
STAY BLESSED BITCH ❤
i gave josef my cigarettes at a concert.
Let’s get a These Streets podcast
Their music, riffs and lyrics are so basic it's ridiculous.
that’s the point bro bro
They literally said they wanted to start a "crazy ignorant" band. Come on bruh watch the video lol
theyre an intentional meme band
L
Trolling? Lol. It's just music to slam to man
