I used to enjoy drawing when I was in high school. During that time my friends used to see my artwork on my sketchbook. It was quite made me a little bit stressed because every time I want to draw something I always told myself to draw perfectly so my friends would also like my arts. The stress increased when I got a classmate that also had great skill in drawing. Some of my classmates started to compare us. Then, after I graduated I decided to stop making arts. I felt burden with the pressure from others and myself. I didn't draw for more than four years now.
And here I am.. watching this video. You don't know how grateful I am to know that a sketchbook could be a safe place. I don't have to show my artwork to other people and also not always drawing something perfectly. Hearing your thoughts really helps me a lot start drawing again.
Art is something that makes you breathe with different kind of happiness❤️❤️

My passion as a kid had always been art, but being Latina & the first in my family to go to college I felt the pressure of having to pursing something that was viewed as " realistic/stable". Now that I have graduated, I have found my way back to art. It's never to late to do what you love 🙏

Now that I’m working on selling my own art online I believe I can do it too. You’re awesome! Keep doing what your doing! It’s important work. 1. I'm so inspired by this sketchbook session. I often prefer drawing kinda small myself, so it's quite pleasing and helpful and validating to watch you do the same.
2. As someone who only discovered she has ADHD when I was over 40, and would have lived life so differently had I known earlier, I'm so impressed and happy with the deliberation and confidence with which you choose your path. (I don't mean to say you are neurodiverse like me, just that you recognized where you are different from the 'norm' and took action to flourish in your own way).
3. Since you mention the lack of South East Asian representation in the art world, I'd like to shout-out Karina Farek, of Drawfee fame. She is an amazing artist and comes across as a wonderful person. She is also very explicit about her Filipino background. And the Drawfee crew have created a lovely community which is extremely welcoming to LGBTQ+ and neurodiverse people.

I used to suck at drawing hands, when I watched this Video a few weeks ago I started drawing hands, and now I can draw hands that I am satisfied with, thanks for motivating me Radia! I dont know if you celebrate Ramadan or Eid, but I do as a Muslim. I am soo excited for Ramadan!

I am about to enter high school and have been considering pursuing something in art, but it is very hard to find any representation of someone in a similar situation like me so this is very inspiring!!
