i've been there too, treating my materials way too preciously! but theyre meant to be used so, its ok to make mistakes or "waste" things sometimes, better to get something done from start to finish rather than never start because youre too intimidated!
Thanks! I thought it would be helpful for people to see just how useful a sketchbook is when it comes to producing final artworks! Or just being a resource to yourself for future projects/ideas
As a Bengali person myself, seeing your art and portrayal of desi culture and things and places that are familiar to me brought me SO MUCH JOY. Thank you for representing us ❤️
I expected just a quick flip through but love this! I love hearing the background behind each sketch and seeing how you use the space in your sketchbook
Hell yea!!! I started drawing way more (in a different sketchbook too) during quarantine since I had extra time on my hands from not having to commute to classes
My favorite thing about your sketchbook (and I have many favorite things) is that it feels like a journal and there's something so intimate and calming about that to me. Kinda reminds me that there are many different ways a sketchbook can look
That's so cool! I'm starting my "first" sketchbook (quotation marks because I have had notebooks assigned for drawing in the past, but never saw them as sketchbooks and didn't draw consistently at all) and it feels great to see someone else who treats their sketchbook as a sketchbook and not as an art book/portfolio full of finished illustrations. You have inspired me a lot! Thank you for sharing!
it's good to keep a sketchbook so you have all of your "drafted" concepts/ideas in one place!! i've also been the type of person to have hundreds of loose drawings only to never find them again rip
I think even the most perfect sketchbooks still have their flaws! You should treat your sketchbook in a way where you don't feel intimidated to delve and lose yourself in it
I appreciate how you also superimpose the finished projects when you have them! It makes your tour feels so complete and helps us to understand your process.
Thank you so much for showing what a real imperfect sketchbook looks like!!! The “perfect” sketchbook is so much pressure and way less productive. Seeing your process is wonderful 😊
This is lovely! I'm so happy to see someone using a sketchbook and going "this is how this piece informed a final piece". Also the bit about your culture/dress and wearing sneakers underneath was truly delightful and informative!
Omg I found this goldie in my recommended, it's really reassuring to find someone who is carefree and casual in their sketchbook, and doesn't mind the extra scribbles
Really inspiring! I’ve never fully allowed myself to experiment within a sketchbook before but now I can’t wait to after seeing this. Huge fan of your art! ☺️
I really love your use of sticky notes to cover up old drawings you're not too fond of. It shows that sketchbooks really are for experimenting and you can mess up. Doesn't have to be perfect or always overly visually pleasing. Thanks for sharing! Love your art!
I love this so much! There is so much personality in your sketchbook and you have inspired me so so much! Would love to see the other sketchbook stuck in your studio if you feel comfortable sharing! Thank you for sharing this sketchbook!!!
Thank you! I'll definitely do a tour of the other sketchbook! I don't know when I'll be able to pick up my work but when I do I will definitely do a tour of the other one :^) It'll just be a bit backwards since that sketchbook is older!
this is probably one of the first time i let a comment but needed to tell how inspiring this sketch tour is!!! and make me want to be even more free with mine, not feeling shy to recover things i didn't like etc. thank u for this video
The moment you said that you're not the type of person to have a "finished pieces only" sketchbook, and that your sketchbook is messy, I instantly subscribed😅
i love that when your emotions transcend words, you express it through doodles and art. that's just so true and authentic of you and im so glad you're sharing all of this with the world.
I love your sketchbook. It is very inspiring. There are so many artists out there who do full illustrations and my sketchbook is so messy, and blank and I'm learning so it's nice to see that I'm not the only one who doesn't do fully finished illustrations. And your work is so cute and colorful. I think I'm going to experiment with more color work in my sketchbooks. Your work is lovely. Thanks for sharing.
Dude, your art is amazing. I know people always say this, but legit, you deserve so many more subs. I can see you being very prolific for your unique style + your sense of humour + your personality. Keep up the amazing work!!
Thank you for sharing your sketchbook with us! As a person who can only create mess in their sketchbook, it felt so good to see another sketchbook as messy as mine (and without finished work). Looking forward to your next videos!!
Thank you for sharing this! Ever since getting sketchbooks, I've struggled to create art in them as I feel like I should only do finished pieces or art of a certain level. It's funny because when I was little, I drew on anything I could, usually just a regular A4 print paper. So I really feel inspired now to just USE the sketchbook, because just the idea of flipping through it and seeing the progress, the experimentation, etc, is enough.
Honestly I learned something while watching this... Your sketchbook isnt just some book you sketch or draw it reflex your personality and your emotions!! Honestly your sketchbook is so creative and me who is on my 15th sketchbook and just being lazy on most pages learned that I must start actually thinking creative and being creative!!!
I loved being able to see and hear how each quick sketch in the sketchbook transpired into a final piece and it was so nice of you to also show the final piece! You have such a unique style and I love how you use your sketchbook!!
This video has been in my recommended honestly, for a hot minute. I finally got down to watching it and I love your style! I wish you had some of your art in the thumbnail to draw me in faster 🌸 subbed
It’s such a pleasure to be able to see the world through the eyes of artists who speak to parts of your soul. Thank you so much for sharing this with the universe
and wowow i love murakami! hearing you mention kafka on the shore and norweigan wood made me feel so happy bc theyre such great page-turners. you should read his short stories too if you havent!
wow this is the first time seeing a realistic sketchbook. thank you so much. i feel so motivated to continue filling in the pages of my sketchbook. also love seeing desi youtubers.
this is so beautiful!! i love seeing your whole process behind your pieces and all your experimentation!! it’s a really great reminder that sketchbooks don’t have to be so seriously rendered or “perfect.” thank you for sharing!! :))
I've watched a looot of sketchbook tours but I enjoyed yours so much more than what I usually do :) I love how you improvise and you don't have a super perfect illustration on every single page but still all of your doodles are super cool and cute
This video inspired me to draw in my sketchbook way more than all the other sketchbook tour videos full of finished illustrations and barely any sketches.
Thank you so much for this video! I’m always scared to use my sketchbook, because I feel like I waste money every time I make a mistake 😭 hopefully I can become more comfortable in the future!
I always am scared to go back to pages in my sketchbook or I rip out bad pages or pages I don't like, but you kept all of your pages and that's awesome!
I’m surprised with my sketchbook. Usually the end looks crappy but it actually has some of my favorite pages. There not too detailed but I feel they have a lot of personality which is fun. Also I really like the way you draw the body and face, plus I think that page with the witches is adorable.
Thank You so much!! This really helped me. I definitely wanted to create a "perfect" piece and have to realize its just practice that's what its for!! I love seeing you get adventurous with styles and medias
I adore this sketchbook tour!! Such beautiful drawings!! this whole sketchbook is a treasure, also it was so lovely of you to include the finished pieces of the concepts in your sketchbook!❤️ Im so inspired now🤩🌸
WOW!! Ive been binge watching sketchbook tours while i work on mine for highschool applications ( I dont think i will b able to fill it in time but yk ive been doing my best😭😔) and yours is probably my favorite! I love the way you stylize the cats, and everything else just flows really well. How is SVA? Ive been looking at art colleges I think are interesting (Ik its a little early lol but its fun) and a ton of my favorite animators are sva alumni! Also how do you only have 202 subs?! Your art is incredible!
thank you! the way i've drawn cats have evolved over time and I think theyll only ever continue to shift and take shape with time! I have a cat who has big noodly energy hence why the cats I draw look the way they do (he's my model). My SVA experience was alright, but like many art colleges (and college in general) very expensive!!! Definitely out of my range in terms of tuition but I'm only attending college once so might as well go to the one I resonate with most
wooow I loved every part of it! So glad for the youtube suggestions 😍😍 subscribed and followed on insta! I love your style and your cat drawings!! And the way you draw letters 🥺💕💕💕 absolutely amazing! Thank you for bringing us to this journey! I'm off to your newer sketchbook tour heheh
this is an awesome video idea. Your video just popped up in my recomndations and ive been wanting to do a sketch book tour for so long I think you just inspired me to make one haha thankyou.
This was such an amazing and inspirational video! You are sooo talented and I absolutely love your work!! Also I’m sososo happy you’re a south asian artist - ive been looking for more sa rep & fellow sa artists so I’m glad I found you! I hope you post more art videos :)
Pretty much every page of my sketchbook is like one really good drawing in a random place on the page and then a bunch of tiny quick doodles all around it because I can’t stand leaving empty space
i just found you on instagram this past week and i am in love with your art!!! also i love your interpretation of norwegian wood, its so cool to see an artist’s interpretation of murakami’s novels!
Thank you! It truly brings me joy when I get to share my work with others and they admire what I do! I'm also very glad I went with my interpretation of that book because if I went directly off the details in the book, it would have stunted my creativity. I also learned a lot about the history of my own culture while doing so!
your sketchbook is super dope!! i'd love to hear more about the supplies you use and your college experience (i'm a rising senior and aspiring illustrator, i need all the help i can get 😅)
omg i've been trying to look for more bangladeshi or south asian artists on youtube and im so happy that i finally found one!! i bought one of your prints and im so excited to hang it up in my room :,)
i have a paper to write about a person who i see as a leader and/or inspiring. and i am writing about you. so im going through all of your videos again to learn about you and your culture
I loved getting a peak into your illustration process, it’s always interesting to see thumbnails + initial sketches of a finished piece. I also really enjoyed all the pieces which had elements of your culture, Bangladeshi artwork and themes aren’t ones I see often on Insta and the like (I guess they’re not “aesthetic” enough 🙄🙄) and it was really nice! Love the mish mash of mediums and experimentation, + all the drawings of you and your partner are super cute btw. Got a new subscriber, I loved listening to you! ✨💛✨
I just discovered your channel and your art and I find everything so lovely 💖💖💕💕💕 can't wait to see more thank you really much everything is really inspiring and your personality is really sweet you seem to be a lovely person 💕

your sketchbook helped me realize i need to be more comfortable with my sketchbook:) i get really freaked out that i’m “wasting paper” with doodles
i've been there too, treating my materials way too preciously! but theyre meant to be used so, its ok to make mistakes or "waste" things sometimes, better to get something done from start to finish rather than never start because youre too intimidated!
When I’m feeling really crippled by that I find using something really cheap, or even lined to take some of the pressure off.
I feel you. When I feel like my drawing is too horrible I rip it off the sketchbook and feels so bad and frustrated.
saaamee
Such a gorgeous sketchbook! Was so cool to see the finished paintings next to their original sketches!!
Thank you for representing us ❤️
absolutely! that's also part of my journey as an illustrator, carrying my own narratives with me throughout my artwork
I expected just a quick flip through but love this! I love hearing the background behind each sketch and seeing how you use the space in your sketchbook
I'm glad that the explanation was helpful!
I finished 2 sketchbooks in half a year thanks to quarantine
Hell yea!!! I started drawing way more (in a different sketchbook too) during quarantine since I had extra time on my hands from not having to commute to classes
@@RadhiaRahman awesome
I’ve finished 4
Lol, that's nothing
The Krane I’ve finished 8 so far since March 😬 working on a 9th

Gorgeous sketches, this is so inspiring! So refreshing to see a Bangladeshi-NYC girl in the arts, never met one in the community before.
Really inspiring! I’ve never fully allowed myself to experiment within a sketchbook before but now I can’t wait to after seeing this. Huge fan of your art! ☺️
