Your captions have become way more funny
I'm glad you think so! I've been trying to spice them up a bit. Thanks!
@@experience_japan I want to bring my family to Japan soon but it won't be easy
Discovered your channel a while back, there are a lot of extravagant/in your face videos about the sights and attractions in Japan but I love how subdued your videos are, not having any spoken commentary actually makes them feel more personal. Your crane game videos are my favorite! But you may want to take a break and give your wallet a rest lol
this i agree whit the fact he doesnt talk whit just subs gives its own personal touch imo
Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad the style of the videos resonates with you. I'll consider giving my wallet some downtime-those crane games can be addictive! Thanks for watching and enjoying the channel!
@@experience_japan at least they seem somewhat fair in your country in mine they are just a scam tbh, altho tbf the double grab mechanics in the arcades in belgium here do seem to give you a better chance at getting the prize especially if the prize is in the bottom corners near the holes.
Those are like what we call pop rocks. Had those as a kid. Good job with all the prizes.
Thanks! Pop rocks were such a blast from the past. Appreciate your support!
Thank you for showing us how much money you spent on each crane game.. it shows how genuine you are 😊
Thanks for appreciating the transparency! I'm glad it helps to show the real experience. 😊
@@experience_japan i love the transparancy as well, it would be better if we can get a real life comparison as to how much the product is sold in retail as compared to how much u spent on the UFO machine
We have Pop Rocks in the US. It’s like the purple candy in the pouch. 😊
Oh, Pop Rocks! Those are a classic. Thanks for sharing that! 😊
You mean the meth?
Absolutely LOVE how you include how much you spent to win the prize. Very important people see how sometimes you WIN but many times you PURCHASE these prizes through the machine lol. It's all part of the fun! Thank you so much!
What impressed me most was the employee recentering that Mario figurine. I don't know that I would have found an employee that honest here in the U.S.
I'm guessing they want customers to have a good time so they come back for more
The crane games look so fun! I can't wait to go to Arcades again when i get moved to Tokyo for school. We don't have them where I live anymore. we don't even have crane games anymore, minus the ones in Walmart that seem to have things in them no one wants. I was cheering for you in all of them, more so the ones with the huge mario and the bottled snack! I started clapping when you got them! Seems like you had a lot of fun, and that made me the happiest of all! Stay safe and wonderful in your travels, dear friend, and once again thank you for a wonderful video!
Thank you so much for your kind words and support! I'm glad you enjoyed the video and that it brought you joy. Can't wait to see you around the arcades in Tokyo! LOL Stay safe and see you soon!
Much respect for walking away at the end!
Great video, enjoy your Mario!
Love your videos! They really make me feel like I’m there!☺️So much fun!
I'm excited for this video!
Great subject, great thumbnail!
Thanks! I'm glad you're excited-hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!
Well, I guess the money really goes toward the enjoyment of testing your skills. That mushroom crane was totally rigged. As soon as the crane got the top, the jarring was enough (planned, I'm sure) to cause the mushroom to drop. Maddening! An expensive but amusing day! Thank you for taking us along! Until next time-be well and happy!
Absolutely, it's all part of the fun and challenge! Rigged or not, it's always an adventure. Thanks for joining, and take care until next time!
Wasn't due to pay out. The more credits you put into those games the stronger the grip gets for those particular cranes. Trust me, I know from experience.😂
@@SegaDisneyUniverse Sunk cost fallacy at play
It's-a me! Yer so funny!😂
Haha, glad you got a laugh! Thanks for the comment!
I’ve been binge watching this channel for two hours now. Personally I love the choice of captions over commentary. It’s way more relaxing and immersive. I hope to visit Japan someday. It is my dream destination.
The Way You Bit That KitKat…….!!!!! You Monster! 👿😡
LOL! 😄
"Now I've come this far, I can't quit" is exactly why these crane game centres are still making money lol.
And also the easy peazy ones
Yes it's gambling and very addictive that's why I never do it 😂
My partner and I both spent 4000¥ last night 🤪🤪🤪
@@KennethCatoe Lol, I hope you had fun. :)
@ aww thanks we did! I won four 9 tail fox plushies medium large!
Such a cool channel. I was so close to visiting Japan one point myself. I had experience with modeling and in late 2015 I was in contact with Capcom about the facial likeness role of Leon for the Resident Evil 2 Remake. I failed to mention I also have a voice acting background, in the end I lost the part and I can't forgive myself for wasting such an opportunity to visit Asia...😑
Who cares u didn't achieve it so it really doesn't count

@@TinyDraws7your whole life doesn’t matter
It sounds like you were so close to an amazing experience-those moments can be tough. Don't be too hard on yourself, though. There will be more opportunities ahead! Thanks for sharing your story and for your kind words about the channel!
@@experience_japan Thanks so much for this feedback.
Not from Japan, so at first glance I thought the Yattermen was dried corn or rice you had to take home and cook. Noodles with flavor seasoning make much more since! 😂
I like how you always open up the boxes and show us what's inside. 🙂
I also like that he eats some of the snack right there too.
@@jaehaspels9607 👍
I bet that when it's my time to visit Japan and no matter how old I will be by then, I probably will spend a day entirely on prize crane games and gatcha machines lol, these seem so much fun! :D Also loving your commentary haha, I can feel your excitement lol.
That sounds like an awesome plan! The crane games and gatcha machines are definitely a unique experience. I’m glad you're enjoying the commentary and feeling the excitement! 😄
I could’ve watched you play these games all day!! lol 😂 Awesome video!! 👍🏻👏🏻😀
Thank you so much 😁
This place is indeed "dangerous"...so tempting to spend...and spend some more...Luckily, I can only watch you from afar 😄 Thanks for an interesting video!
Love your videos! 💛💛💛
I really like your arcade/claw machine videos! You’re pretty good at figuring out the dynamics and strategizing that best secures a win! Super fun to watch!
Congrats he is so cute I’m glad you won 🎉🎉🎉
Wish we had arcades like Japans in Scotland 😢 As for the popping candy, my favourite is in the Cadburys Marvelous Creations bars. A tasty bar of chocolate with popping candy and wee jelly bits 🙂
I hope you get to visit Japan and enjoy our arcades someday! The Marvelous Creations bars sound delicious. I love the combination of chocolate and popping candy too!
Heisenberg's legacy lives on haha🤣 We also have Pop Rocks in Canada. I used to love them as a kid! Love claw games! Your a master at them! 😁🤩
So frustrating when you have invested so much it just makes you not want to stop.
Although you missed the last prize, you won a lot. Well done. I thought there might have been a lot more people there, is this type of arcade popular in Japan?
Thank you! Yeah, I missed that last one. Arcades are still popular here, especially in certain areas, though they can be quieter on weekdays. Thanks for your comment!
Are these places normally packed at certain times? I love all your videos but this one was my favorite. So glad you had a great time!❤❤❤
My impression from visiting a few when in Japan that they aren’t super packed because there are so many of them. Everywhere you go in certain areas there are tons of crane game stores as well as gacha machines.
@@R.WilliamsRound one here in Lancaster PA is NEVER packed. Likely because it's so expensive to play. Still fun but I EASILY put out $300 in credits for my family of 4 of that gives us about 1.5 - 2 hours of crane action and a a lil arcade fun. I get that's expensive but how much are memories worth that last forever. I can't do it all the time but once in a while we do. However that said I have never seen our location busy in the arcade are at all.
@@AirForceFamily I know what you mean about memories. I won a small prize in a crane game in Japan and was thrilled! I played a bit more but at that point was short on time. I doubt I could bring myself to spend a lot but it sure is fun! We have a Round One here too but it's around 20 miles away which is about a 45 minute drive. My son in law won so much there they have a couch full of big plushies. I'm waiting for him and my daughter to go with me as I'd undoubtedly be the oldest person there excitedly trying to win plastic!😅
How much did you spend trying to get the mushroom??
It's a good question. Spent 30 tries....
I won't be present at the first hours. But i will for sure watch your video.I love your channel.
No worries, and thanks for the support! I appreciate you taking the time to watch later. Glad you enjoy the channel!
The power to the solenoid in the claw is electronically controlled and programmed to only works at full strength once the payout threshold has been met .
The "trick " is to choose a machine someone just gave up on to improve the odds . .
I wish we had crane arcades like this in the states
Great video! Glad Mario came out for you 😄 going to Japan in 28 days, so excited especially from following your videos - even planned in our trip to do the samurai walk from your previous video! Keep up the great content 😊
Thank you so much! It's great to hear you've got exciting plans in Japan inspired by the videos. Have an amazing trip and enjoy the samurai walk! 😊
@@experience_japan We did the walk and it was amazing! Re-watching this, your samurai walk video & others this evening as a great reminder of our trip! Can't wait to go back some day 😄😄
"So, it's a dangerous place that makes you want to keep coming back"
Dude, i was like "Is leaving this place illegal?" 🤣
purple meth made me LOL. But we do have that in the west, we call them pop rocks. But it normally is just the popping candy part.
Haha, Pop Rocks are definitely less intense than "purple meth"! Glad you found the joke funny. 😂
This was soooo satisfying! You have excellent crane game skills! I love to see that some of these are actually winnable, that's how it should be.
We need part 2 😂😂😂
I’m still rooting for you
You have to get the
Mushroom 🍄
All of the Mario things are so cool! Also I love when you post about anything Nintendo.
I'm glad you enjoy the Nintendo content! More Mario and other fun stuff coming soon.

If i get this right,Japan seem to have their minds set on children, due to the amazing places and their theme parks, its truly amazing how they make such an amazing effort to make sure that children are able to have fun and learn great things at the same time
Your attempts to get big Mario figurine were hilarious😂😂
9:54 the purple is like pop rocks a fizzy hard candy crystal that pops as well
That’s a perfect comparison! Pop rocks vibes for sure!
9:20 The purple crystal candy is called Pop Rocks in America
The Cacophony of Sounds in the BG are realy deafening, plus this girl Screaming all the Time in the Middle of all the Noises.
Gives me the feeling you need Earplugs to be there.
For those Kit Kats, in the USA, the bag alone sells for $11 at FYE. So it definitely cost you less to win it than it would cost for me to buy it.
Those Kit Kats cost $11 just for the bag at FYE in the USA, so it definitely cost you less to win it than it would for me to buy it!
That kit-kat one was nuts, what a ripoff for such a giant box.
I got so excited hearing at 4:00 the opening theme for The Apothecary Diaries playing in the back lol
I was excited too
The KitKat box is easy just jam the arm of the claw on the back corner and it will come out in one or two tries I’ve done it myself
Those claw machine games sound very excited when you play them! ❤️🤣
They really do! It's always a thrill to play. 🎉
How much did you spend in this session? @@experience_japan
Wow!! Having never EVER won anything in a claw machine, you've got talent, sir!! This was a fun video, thanks!
Where is this arcade located!
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed the video. This arcade is located in Osaka, but similar arcades can be found throughout Japan, especially in cities such as Tokyo and Osaka, where they are densely packed.
It's a crime you bite into the kitkat like that :(
Why?? That is how I eat them too (beast that I am….😌).
I love your videos. And saw has always been my favorite movie series ever since I was a kid. And it was the first thing I thought of 😂 1:19
You are wright. The house always wins. Anyway. Lovely to watch your arcades videos. Well done.
Thank you 😀
grettings from Greece, my 9 years old son and I....WE LOVE YOUR VIDEOS ❤
Amazing your videos always make me feel better✨😁❤❤❤❤❤
“Refreshing sensation through the nose”😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 That’s a rather interesting way of describing 🔥👃🏻……. Funny story, though: I was once at an Asian buffet style restaurant with my ex husband, and I warned him to be careful not to put too much wasabi on his sushi. Guess what he did…..?!?!?! 🤦🏼♀️😂He learned a very valuable lesson that day!🤪
“Refreshing sensation through the nose” is such a funny way to describe it! 😂😂🔥👃🏻 And your story is hilarious! I can imagine the look on his face after putting too much wasabi-definitely a lesson learned! 🤪
The Japanese are innovative and creative hands down. Would love to go there sometime.
Videos like this Are fantastic. We dont see stuff like this in norway.
Legend has it he’s still trying to get that Super Mushroom.
LOL
The purple crystal candy is called "Pop Rocks" in the USA. :3
The way how you eating kitkat, that's a crime😂
You're so dang funny 😂❤🎉
9:40 it’s called Pop Rocks in USA.
🤣 purple Meth. 😂
Good one.
if you dont mind me asking, as when you won Super Mario, and you showed how they were restocking him, how does that actually work, I mean do the workers of the place have to go around and do whats called a sweep of the machines and then for certain ones, they have to reopen them and replace another one of those prizes with another on ????
I really rooted for you when you tried to get the Mushroom Plushie. So sad you didnt got it
Nice to see SoloSolo travel having another RUclips channel
Could watch that a whole weekend.
Glad you enjoyed it so much! Thanks for watching!
Awesome claw machine skills and perseverance! Thank you for sharing your adventures with us❤
Thank you! Your encouragement means a lot. Glad you enjoy the videos! ❤
*_"PURPLE METH"🤣_*
The mushroom at the end is impossible to win. The claw machine has full power on pick up and once the mushroom is lifted, the machine decreases its holding power so the mushroom falls down. It’s a classic trick to let the player think winning is possible, when it’s actually not.
Thanks for the insight!
I actually tried the same claw machine for another giveaway and got a great prize! I'll share it again in a new video, so look forward to it.
You were the only person in there. You would think with the cost of prizes, staff, machine maintenance, and high electricity bills, you would think these places wouldn't stay in business for long.
You are correct, you always get foods over stuff toy. Some Japanese food is expensive if stuff toy, it is just a souvenir.
The place doesn't look that busy. I remember those arcades used to be the big thing.
23:27 This is how the shop win (I always spend ALOT to not get figures that can be bought in the resell shop with low price)
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video and are inspired to visit! The retro park and the cherry blossoms really do make it a special place. Hope you get to experience it in person soon. Thanks for your lovely comment! 🥰 xx
Tight, tight! 😂
Tuco!!!
i hate games that you try and try and every time it picks it up it drops back over and over like the last game you played that prize it should be yours but be safe like your videos keep the good videos
I totally get the frustration with those games. I appreciate your support and will keep the videos coming! Stay safe and thanks!
Looks like playing claw machine games are a good way to teach patience
Absolutely! It's all about timing and persistence. Thanks for the comment!
These machines are just like the ones in Round 1 here in SoCal
