I was in Chicago in April for a conference and went to Mr. Beef because of The Bear. If you go to some famous shops in different cities across the nation, the staff can be quite brusque. But when I arrived at Mr. Beef, it was about 2:30p and the line was quite short - ended up being attended to by Chris and he was surprisingly welcoming and accommodating. Kinda wasn't expecting that but the service was great and the beef was delicious.
I remember growing up in my home town how many of these mom&pop places were the real heart of our local culture. Glad to see they’re still running things the old fashioned way, good food for the locals. Dying breed for sure, I try to frequent them more than chain nonsense. Hope to get to Chicago to check it out myself.
Love it! I love the show and the atmosphere of Mr. Beef. I worked in a lot of restaurants over the years and it was hard to find that fun, authentic family environment sometimes. I need to get to Mr Beef and try a sandwich! I'm only a few hours away
Never heard of Mr. Beef or the The Bear but that was interesting interview. I'm tempted to look it up (The Bear) but not going to. Would like to eat there only because I love to eat. I understand the glue, most do. Blessed is the man that finds the glue.

Mr. Beef is amazing. I've been going there since they opened. That show The Bear was terrible IMO. Mr. Beef was doing just fine beofre the show and shall continue to long after it's an ancient memory
@@Whatkanyedo I found it to be very strange, unrealistic, and just completely scattered. That's just one opinion, if you liked it, that's all that matters
@@TheRange7 Weird that you call it unrealistic when so many professionals in the industry call it out as being one of the most accurate depictions in media.

You want to ruin your sandwich? Do it at home!
Tell me you've never been to Chicago without telling me.
@Dilliam I was born and raised in Chicago and I've still never heard an accent this ridiculous. 👍
You have a new subscriber SOLELY because of the Dr.Strangelove reference.

Here in New Orleans we call those sandwiches, Roast beef poboys.
"Who knows, the 3rd season might be shit."
So precient
My goodness how much coke is that kid doing? 🤣🤣
shitty background music too loud. can't hear the dialogue.
Fire the person that mixed the audio
tell the editor the sound.mixing is all wrong, music to high, seemed interesting but is unwatchable
Not bad for warmed up food.

I’m curious what about the show you think is so bad cause personally I find it to be a masterpiece

I can see it not being somebody’s taste, as it’s very fast paced & has a lot of moving parts, but terrible? Come on now. It’s an undeniably good show.
