I have models I bought years ago and now are worth ten times what I paid for them . But I don't care as I enjoy having them as part of my collection. It's my hobby that i still enjoy as I'm now turning 70 years old this year.
I totally agree that it is positive that collectors once again have the opportunity to get a model that was already made by another brand many years ago and that is otherwise difficult to buy. Indeed, technology has advanced and I also think that in this case Almost Real knows that the Pagani Zonda R is a very desirable model. Personally, I think it is time for certain manufacturers to remake old models with new technologies. It is true that there are thousands of models and millions of different tastes. But the direction that the industry is taking with very similar models and that, in my opinion, if they were replicated in 1:18 scale would not be as successful in sales compared to certain models that unleash passions in a large number of collectors. I think some people should think that what is not good for them or what they do not like, can be good and can be liked by many other people. No one has the absolute truth, and the decisions of the model car market always result in praise and criticism. Fortunately, we each buy the models we want, regardless of what others think.
Hey Diecast Den, did you ever make that video where you compare the diecast vs. resin versions of BBR’s Maserati MC20? I would like to see the differences in shapes. Thanks
AR's quality is top notch. I have (as you may know) several AR's and I have yet to get a bad example. That being said, the fact that these models are hand assembled and are relatively delicate, it is possible to get one with a defect. That's why it is important to work with a trusted retailer with a good return policy imo.
While I can understand the appeal of having a rare model that's long been out of production and having something others can't get, unless they want to tap into their 401K, it's a little weird to get that upset about another company talking a crack at it. And if you're using this hobby as an investment vehicle, you're going to be terribly disappointed. Buy blue-chip stocks instead.

Coming soon. I was waiting for the opening version in white to become available so I could compare the same car (ie. Bianco diecast vs Bianco resin).
I have the AA Zonda. I would love to get a zonda from AR but i wonder about quality especially when it comes to paint finish and durability long term.
