I just ordered the Fordyce and did a bunch of research online. The best upgrades are Boom racing rims with brass core and weight system. And a 69$ steering servo. Then use the old steering servo to use as your dig servo. Hopefully mine will be here tmrw and then I can order the parts for the upgrade.
That’s awesome! I completely changed mine to a hard body Chevy k10 with the rc4wd body. Made a bunch of mds including stretching wheel base to make it work but I love how it’s turning out
I'm almost positive you need to go with the Pheonix for the VFD Twin trans with dig. The Fordyce has the spec VFD withought any shifting. But I like that strategy.
Almost there!! Yeah I agree the FMS is a winner at the price point for sure! Especially on a budget looking to get into the hobby and have a solid performer.
@@419crawlers Well then I gues I was thinking right haha.. Wasn't sure If I was missing something.. Hey your almost at that 1k sub brother man keep going.. Awesome..
Hmmm, until the Atlas struggled and tumbled down I don't really saw any difference. And tumbling can happen to every crawler, so still even. Maybe if you do a maintenance video after a few hours of running, you might find some diffferences.
I just bought a Fordyce …got a screaming deal on a new one.. $350 + tax…no way would I pay $459 or whatever MSRP is…..Vanquish stuff is nice but this Fordyce is like an axial basecamp… Kind of funny how I just bought one and now I get all sorts of videos about Fordyce ….algorithm doing its job..😅 Nice crawl BTW…fun stuff!
Would 200 be enough to make fms preform as well as vanquish? Or could you do it with less? Be interesting to see. Start with basic upgrades and retest.
Thanks for the comment! We really like the atlas platform for the price. Dad has recently done some huge improvements. If u check out the new video u can see how capable it is. With some new tires it would be a beast! Thanks for watching man much appreciated
Curious I mean the Fordyce performed better…. Does it have much better feeling wheels. And it’s shorter wheel base which helps and hinders. Put $300 into Atlas and nothing into Fordyce. Lol. I’d take the vanquish all day. Unless I thought the Atlas had a trans axles and the like that was worth the mods and upgrades until it’s not even close to what it started as lol. Guessing the vanquish has all the stuff you wanna keep. How do electronics compare?
Yes sir both rigs are completely bone stock. The tires on the vanquish are much better and yes it has shorter wheel base. To be honest I could put 300 in the atlas and it would be close to what the vanquish is stock. The weight distribution on the vanquish is key in my opinion along with far superior electronics. The atlas basically has no drag brake and is pretty jumpy. The vanquish drag is pretty good and super smooth.

Nice guys and damn Jason almost 1k subs Nice I they both did great for the price difference hard to beat the fms

What a great off-road run! It wasn't easy to crawl in this location :) I like both trucks!
I subbed! All the best to you!
Awesome welcome aboard and thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed and stick around! I really appreciate the comment!
o no! The Atlas took a tumble 😱Very nice video and great editing skills! The vanquish is sweet! 😍
Yes indeed but it bounced right back and talked it lol. Thanks
Great video J, Take this for what its worth I don't see a 3oo dollar difference but I am a nood .. thanks for sharing brother.
That was the point of the video brother lol! Glad u dig have a great night buddy

@@reitplace4765 I be trying hard lol
@@419crawlers It shows bud.. not easy pumping out vids like that.. takes time how ever you look at it.. hard work pays in the end you know that.

Great idea Brother!! Thanks
Battery was in back in power wagon
Both are nice trucks and do well, but I just add metal wheels to mine to add a little lower weight and that will help the FMS.
For sure the fms is the winner for the price point! It’s is actually amazing for the cost of it
Looked like alot of drivers fault on the fms or is the esc really that jumpy? Plus you have that huge battery sitting in the bed

I hear that! I bought it cuz I’m gonna use the platform to build a new scale rig. Thanks bro for stopping by and dropping a comment!

Absolutely couldn’t agree more. The atlas is amazing for the cost I have no complaints with it. Don’t worry upgrades are coming lol
Get what you pay for, already seen Fordyce do 12k straight no issues, put 3 packs non stop into fms it probably would fail. Cheaper is cheaper.
I own an Atlas 4x4 and I think it's crap. Nice looking & that's about it.
The Fordyce is where my money will be going. Cool video.

Do you shoot vid while driving or do you have some help?
I shoot all the video as I drive! My dad recently got a camera arm as well so he can start shooting different angles
@@419crawlers nice work. it's not easy driving and shooting and not slipping/falling/twisting an angle in those brook location lol!
Awesome video. I like the atlas but the vanquish is just better all around, but you pay for it.
I couldn’t agree more lol! Well said my friend!

The vanquish because its not 100% Chinesium like the fms. I prefer the element rc enduro though.
Right on I hear that. I just built the element 2 builders kit. Have not showed it yet though
But….. all these rigs are made in China….
