Pyloric stenosis is a congenital disease of stomach. its most commonly found in male. Cause of stenosis is hypertrophy of circular muscles in pylorus. patient show projectile vomiting with palpable lump in left side abdomen & visible peristalsis is also present. due to vomiting patient shows symptoms of dehydration as well. treatment of this condition is only a surgical correction of stenosis.. this procedure called ramsdetts operation (pyloromyotomy).

REPORT
CT abdomen and pelvis with and without contrast was performed. No prior comparison is available.
There is evidence for circumferential mural thickening involving the gastric pylorus and first part of theduodenum for length of about 6.6 cm. The maximum single wall thickness measures 1.9 cm andcircumferential wall thickness measures about 3.8 cm in transverse dimension. It is associated with mildsurrounding fat stranding and couple of subcentimetre perigastric lymph nodes for reference one of thesemeasures about 7 mm in the short axis. The fat planes with adjacent visceras are preserved. Thetumourcausing luminal narrowing and dilatation of stomach.
No size significant retroperitoneal or pelvic sidewall lymphadenopathy noted. Small volume pelvicascites is noted.
A small hypodensity 1.5 x 1.5 cm is notedthe segment 4A of the liver along falciform ligamentconsistent with focal fat deposit. No suspicious focal hepatic lesion is noted. The intra and extrahepaticaducts are not-dilated. The portal and hepatic veins are patent. The major abdominal vessels areunremarkable.
Couple of uncomplicated gall stones are noted in aneckgallbladder. The pancreas, spleen, adrenalsand both kidneys are unremarkable. Unprepared bowel loops are grossly unremarkable.
The uterus appears bulky. Couple of ill-defined uterine fibroids are noted, for reference one of theseright posterolateral wall of the uterine fundus and measures about 3.0 x 4.0 x 3.6 cm in CC x AP and TRdimensions.adnexal abnormality is noted.
No suspicious pulmonary nodules are noted in the covered sections through the lung bases.
No aggressive bony lesion is seen in the visualised bones.
