Stomach is a Muscular beg like structure. it is a most distensible part of Digestive tract. Empty stomach is J-shaped. it is 25cm in length. Stomach Located in Left upper quadrant. stomach wall has 4 layers- Mucosa(inner most) Submucosa, muscular, serosa.
Arterial supply-
Left Gastric Artery (Coeliac trunk)
Rt. Gastric Artery (Hepatic Artery)
Gastro-duodenal Artery (Hepatic Artery)
Rt. Gastroepiploic Artery (Gastroduodenal artery)
Lt. Gastroepiploic Artery (Splenic Artery)
Short Gastric Artery (Splenic Artery)
Venous Drainage-
Left Gastric Vein (Drain into Portal Vein)
Rt. Gastric Vein (Portal Vein)
Rt. Gastroepiploic Vein (Sup. Mesenteric vein)
Lt. Gastroepiploic Vein (Splenic Vein)
Pre Pyloric Vein (Splenic vein)
Short gastric vein (Splenic vein)
Nerve Supply-
Sympathetic nerve- Vagus Nerve
Para sympathetic nerve- T6- T10
Lymphatic Drainage-
1- Upper part of left 1/3rd drains into Pancreatico-splenic node
2- Right 2/3rd drain into Left Gastric Node
3- Lower part of left 1/3rd drain into Right gastro epiploic nodes
4- Pyloric part drain into right Gastric Node, Pyloric Node, Hepatic Node = Coeliac nodes
