    Hi Pete,
Great post as usual and absolutely thoroughly enjoyed watching as of all your posts mate🤝🇬🇧. I’m guessing for the steak sandwich a bit of B&Q sauce or few slices of avocado,?. when you sealed up your bung , I was advised to put in the sealant and let it Al most go off before tightening the screws all the way up as if there tightened up straight away then the sealant is just pushed back out and not doing it’s job, were as when it’s almost set then tightened it is more like a rubber washer making a full seal, I also rea did my transducer and front hook clasp just for safe measure. The new lighting works a treat mate, more of a natural light. Well done on the solo tinny boat camp mate, awesome post.
    Thanks Pete 🤝🇬🇧🦞

We've got about another month here in Oregon to the start of campfire bans on forested public land, so I'm using your video as a reminder to get out! Also, I'm ready for the next Everyman Chats, be great to hear your point of view on solo adventures. Pete,
You are a lovely guy. It always shines through on every video.
I’ve been solo camping since - well for many many years - and if you stick at it, soon it will feel like “home” and you’ll miss it when you’re not. It’s liberating.
My friends say, “let’s go camping” but to me it reduces the experience, so I decline.
No affiliation, but have a look at a “haven ridge light” it is unsurpassed in my opinion. Warm strip and flexible and portable but you need a power supply. So good I use it in my home in preference to the house lights.

Great episode and philosophies Pete. As for the missing ingredient I think the staple would be onions, depending on weather and flavour you are feeling, either cooked up brown onion or for an acid hit nice red onion slices. On the boat leaking, maybe look at a transfer pump, then ot can be used when doing a tinny trip or if you 4x4 near rivers can be good to stock up on water. Cheers 🍺 🍻

Good news, judging on the amount of water you are taking on you should be able to identify where is is coming from if you put is back in the water when the inside is dry.
    1. Most likely one of the through hulls fittings. If so, remove fitting, clean with acetone and re-bed with quality bedding compound like Sikaflex.
    2. Check under the boat for any cracks, splits of other damage.
    3. I would not be using Silcon below the waterline.
    best of luck!

Fill the boat up with a water hose and see where the drips come from over concrete driveway, or touch for wets spots with paper towels, etc. Also don't use silicone, use polyurethane sealant. You can get Polyurethane sealant from Bunnings for about $18 a sausage, but there are marine quality. Maybe redo all interfacing plates, bungs, plug plate, etc, that breach the boat's walls!

hey Pete, on the water in the boat... Had me buggered for ages, would get about 1 litre max in the bilge in seven hours. rough gestimate as i have a auto bilge pump. after siliconing every pop rivet, sealing every other hole possible in the transom, did discover the bungs where an issue. replaced those and fixed them and sealed properly, thought issue solved. alas, did realize, that if they were not screwed in properly with washer seated correctly, water would still come in. few trips later, noticed some, but definitely lot less, water was in bilge. ( a couple cups) and started scratching my head again. I dont cover my tinnie when out of the water and by happenstance, a day after a huge downpour and the sun was shining, noticed a damp patch on the road, about midships and centreline. when i checked the area above along the keel line, i noticed a pinhole where there had been a repair. may not seem like it could let water in, but i figure thats the culprit as it was wet as a ...F...ny ;) and once i plug it, then i should have a nice dry boat again. Frank

Got to be fried Onions on the steak sandwich doesn't it?
I love the honesty about the nerves when going solo as it's something that I struggle with but I really can't figure out why tbh.
All the gear, no real risk and not afraid of being on my own so pretty curious really.
With the bung I suspect that it has been cross threaded at some time or the fitting is leaking as keeping water out when there's virtually no pressure involved shouldn't be difficult imo.
I spent years doing irrigation stuff and the simple things tended to be the issue.
What was the name of the lights you mentioned as I need one for my tent and would rather buy something to support the guys who support you.
Just do the things that you enjoy mate cos keeping everyone happy is impossible but I think that most would say that they want to see you keep you posting videos.
    Thanks for the video.

Nice tinnie solo mate, think it was wise to go early get the boat sorted and carry-on next time. BBQ onions missing? although I have bbq onions, cheese, tomato, rocket and beetroot with mine, same bun, cheers.

Could be a pin hole in the bottom of the hull due to long term electrolysis. If there is a bit of steel been sitting on the alluminium such as a bolt , nut , or fishhook this can cause spot corrosion! Regards Tony.

oh, just on water draining from the bung... i followed a bloke from the ramp ( after they had secured boat etc) for about 3-4 k's up the road, water was still coming out for that length of time, i reckon he had a bung hole problem lol

Got to be caramelised onions on a steak sandwich
Great work on the videos, variety is the spice of life, if you weren’t doing boat vids people would complain that there’s too many 4x4 content
