Wing Chun was founded by Buddhist nun, Ng Mui, not Ip Man. Ip Man MAY have popularised it.
Ng Mui is not the founder of Wing chun he is one of the 5 founder of wing chun
But it’s origin is unclear since it hasn’t been written down who started Wing chun since it has been passed from teacher to student verbally rather than in writing

It was Jean Claude Van Damme who created Win Chun in one of his movies where he fought budda capoeira.
Years ago, Lee taught me that slowness, patience was a super power. It served me well in my youth. It is invaluable now.

@@loganwarner176 It allowed me to make better decisions in any situation: from driving in traffic, considering a new purchase, negotiating deals (both for myself and the company), to my personal interactions and relationships. Even in a fist fight, taking the time to assess their habits (while protecting yourself at all times, of course), can be the key to victory.

That was the realization that made meditation actually work for me. I used to sit there trying not to think and trying mad at myself for still thinking. When I realized I could 'step back' inside my head and realize that the thoughts just keep flowing out made me a lot more relaxed.

But as someone who speaks Chinese and know chinese culture well enough, these wisdom comes from Bruce somehow not convincing at all.
His master Ip Man knew Lee better than Lee himself, and Ip always regarded him as passionate but very short-tempered impatient guy.
And old Chinese people think Bruce died a young age was because of his impulsive unsettled mind.
He was like water, but boiled.
Edit: Be like water, this kinda of quote can be traced back to Taoïsme, and is well known by Chinese folks,
Lee can be viewed as the one promoting it to the world, but not its original source.
You're right on the money. I'm currently reading his 2017 biography by Matthew Polly and the guy is flawed as hell.
Materialistic, self-centred, and always getting into fights for no good reason. He put his family under constant financial stress through his reckless spending and had a lot of inner demons to fight during his lifetime. I love the guy but it's important to recognise that every legend is human and all humans are flawed.

((IMO)) My issue with adopting a philosophy is that I feel like no matter which one it is still pointless, can't make myself feel these emotions that are associated with the philosophy (I hope that makes sense) because in the end, every action is insignificant, including every breath.
