I LOVE YOU
I went to Africa because of Wode Maya and I did not regret it at all. I went to many countries in Africa but ended up in Uganda on a whim and found Uganda to be a great place to escape the horrors of living in the United States. I will most likely end up moving to Uganda.
And may Almighty God bless you abundantly and make easy for you 🙏
Happy for you brotha
Welcome home my brother ❤️ enjoy your motherland 🙏🏽💯
I am a Ugandan I welcome you with two arms.
Welcome to the pearl.
Many, many black people are hoping to visit the continent of Africa because of your videos.

I was in tears when the “sister” said that black Americans suffer from PSTD. She is absolutely correct.

I'm quite sure this video will make a lot of Black American brothers think of moving to Rwanda. Do not be afraid of doing so because Rwanda is so excited to make you our own. Thanks Maya

The sister said it - Africa needs to learn about the African-American experience and vice versa. The knowledge gap must be bridged.

I love the fact that they will not allow their coworkers to refer to them as ‘boss’. They function as a team and that is valuable to both the employer and their employees. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾We are all brothers and sisters! More of this please Maya!
I hope Nigerian and South Africans are picking respective tips from this couple, I mean it.
It's wrong to transplant their own experience in America to Africa. The history is very different. Calling your employer Boss is exactly that your Boss giving a job and paying you for it. The fact of life is there is hierarchy in everything we do , people must question what they hear not just run away with it.
@@werqzeleke2815 You don't get to tell them how they should run their business. Period. It's their business...your opinion doesn't matter. If they don't want their workers to call them boss then that's how it is.
Nothing wrong with being called Boss here in Africa. It is your character that will define your genuine nature, that you will work as a team or not.
Diaspora welcome home..

sometimes, we as black people, do not show our appreciation for the few black leaders we have. If we do so, other politicians in the continent will follow in president Kagame footsteps. There is absolutely no reason for our people to continue to suffer all across this rich continent.

WodeMaya, I think she meant Africans and African Americans are equal in importance.
Just in case y’all don’t know. Kagame is responsible for crimes against humanity that has killed over 12 millions lives in Congo. The only way this is possible is if you are complicit with the west. There are multiple UN reports that have been published that states that Kagame is supporting rebels more precisely M23 that are responsible for horrific atrocities that are being committed in the Congo. If you don’t believe me, do a simple Google search. Without western aid and Congo’s minerals how else do u think this little poor country with no minerals got developed so fast? Also Kagame is a dictator that oppresses his political opposition, just Google what happened to the hero of hotel Rwanda . Y’all African Americans claim that you are about black love, yet you are supporting a country that killing millions of Congolese. All this can be discovered with very simple research but y’all ignore this. No problem, one day Congo will tell it story!

THATS NOT OUR HOME.
Please speak for yourself.
The gentleman hit the nail on the head with his parting message when he said that if you are an African American in the diaspora, give yourself and your family the gift of a life time by making a pilgrimage to Africa, even if it is only once in your lifetime. It will change your life. You will never be the same again. The lady is so right about the traumatic experiences that AA's go through in the diaspora. The sad thing is most don't know that they are traumatized, they just feel bad a lot of times but don't know why. I have lived in the west and I can attest to this. It wears you out slowly like acid on metal, makes you sick slowly. Getting out and opening your eyes to reinforce your identity and belonging will bring some unimaginable healing.

All that online so called "hate" & diaspora wars aint adding up ,every single video of African Americans returning to Africa (No matter the country )they all emphasize how welcoming the African community has been to them 😍👏🏽
They want us to be divided and believe people from our ancestral land don't like us , but of the online back & forth is not conducive to real life on the continent
Very important comment. Conflict is inescapable. But I believe the conflict between Africans and African in the diaspora is very exaggerated. My interaction with Africans has been more than pleasant. A few have some clashes and run around screaming like it's Israel vs Palestine. Funny enough Israel and Palestinians are in an eternal war despite them being basically the same (in terms of racial phenotype). But no one stresses on them being the same people at war with each other.
@@juniorgrant5495 exactly, the "beef" is more so online here in the states than anywhere else and mostly based on past resentment of certain groups being teased as kids , grown adults in real life outside of the u.s have more important matters to deal with
@@Nobody-wd6ci I agree and the majority of Africans don't even speak English to even engage in these unproductive diaspora wars. Its mostly some very loud West Africans who are ashamed of slavery and don't want to be associated with AAs. And African immigrants in the US saying they were teased by AAs growing up. Mr. Ghana, Bro I just hope that the reason most of these presidents (like Kagame) haven’t reached out to you or shown you some semblance of appreciation is because they’re planning to honor you in a big way. Because if they just continue to ignore you like they are, that will be a travesty and a blatant shame and disgrace. You’ve morphed from just that kid who sat in the gutter in Kigali to a legend. Keep pushing my brother.

@@thestranger6340 If that’s the case, which I highly doubt, then that’ll be weird, because what better way to give legitimacy to something than when the “powers that be” are willing to show support and appreciation in a “PUBLIC” fashion. @@rufraf1538 I understand what you’re trying to elude, but be reminded that people will always find reasons to criticize others regardless of how flawless the other person tries to go about his or her life (Especially in Africa).
