I am American but back in 1979 Laos refugee's started coming to where i lived as a kid, i was only 12 years old. I learned the Laos and Thai languages fluently in the first six months after that and today i speak both languages fluently.. This was one of the songs i learned first. Back then everyone loved this song, Today it is considered as a classic .. And well worth it for it is one of them songs that will always be personal to many people and for a reason...I love all Laos people..
