Great video. Bts has a lot of haters and this song was a response to them. They came from a small company, that even almost went bankrupt. They’re inimitable and irreplaceable, individually and as a group. And they’re all just so freaking lovable on top of all that. It hasn’t even been a full year that I’ve gotten to know them, but I get it now. You said in most Western groups, if the front person leaves, the group is over. But BTS is only BTS with all seven present, and both BTS themselves and Army feel this way. 💜 Sorry for the essay, I just couldn’t leave anything out. 😁
New Edition. Bell Biv Devoe, Jackson 5. I get the reference points. Just soon to be a 50 year old dude who in the last few years have been lucky enough to expand my soundscape to include BTS and KPOP. Thanks to my two daughters. You might take a liking to EXO. More R n B leanings, also great songs and they had great vocalists. Some of their earlier songs like Call Me Baby was co produced by Teddy Riley (Blackstreet). First stop for EXO, check out “Tempo”. BTS have some great r n b, maybe funk tunes. Live versions of “Dimple” and “Pied Piper”. The 3 songs they performed on “Armypedia Live” including No More Dreams and Just One Day. And Singularity by one of their vocalists V. All great r n b, funk inflected tunes. Reminds me a bit of Maxwell and D’Angelo
This is a favorite… they dig into all genres of music. The Live versions have dance breaks that you’ll definitely enjoy. Your in for a treat with these young men, seriously‼️ For a mix of music, please react to The Live videos of: House of Cards Ma City Dimple Pied Piper Am I wrong Magic shop Make it right Mikrokosmos Love the MMA 2020 version of Dynamite, Micheal J. Tribute dance break Jimmy Fallons Live show of songs: Idol (they wear traditional attire) Home And of course heir individual singles like: Stigma Singularity Euphoria My time Serendipity Lie Just Dance Airplane Rappers songs like: Daechitwa Joke August’D And combined like: Ddaeng Outro: Tear Ugh All cyphers Watch all XCeleste documentaries to find out about their past to present accomplishments. You’ll be moved. Watch Armypedia, tells about ARMY and what they do all over the world. So many‼️ they can do it all. I haven’t found a single song I don’t like from them and I do have all their albums. They write and produce their music. They’re geniuses. Literally, no joke, high IQ levels. These are just some of my favs. Enjoy the journey 🤠👍..💜💜💜💜
Thank you! Yes, their music can be loved and enjoyed without understanding the lyrics.....however....many of their songs have such deep meaning that even the English lyrics don't fully explain it. There is a channel called DKDKTV explains some of the necessary songs from a Korean perspective, in which you may want to do both the BTS video and the explanation for it, back to back. Most reactors are shocked by the depth and genius of their songwriting and we love seeing it discovered!! For instance RM's rap 'Persona', Suga (Agust D) rap 'Daechwita', Ddang, Ughh, Baepsae, and especially Spring Day...for which you will need tissues, trust me. Many of the songs/videos in the latest series are based on Carl Jung's Map of the Soul which is explained FIRST in 'Persona' and then by the explanation....that's the BEST place to start. If I've suggested this already, sorry...my memory is old. ARMY grandma
It’s fine to reference US artists, BTS is highly respectful and inspired by the US R&B and rap groups, they even did a whole mentorship reality show in 2014, “American Hussle Life” with people like Coolio and Warren G and more on west coast hip hop. Shawn Stockman of Boys2men has been highly complementary of how good BTS is and how good their concert and music is and they sing his songs on their live steams. So much love for the references.
@@KTMusicGroup You will find songs that you will vibe with better than others but I swear my Top 10 change daily. It really depends on the mood. I got a gym playlist, running one, coffee vibe playlist, work playlist, chill list, feeling myself playlist of all BTS songs. There's actually a mood list out on Reddit of their songs. If are feeling RnB listen to x, feeling rock, listen to y. They are the genre and when add lyrical poetry and meaning on top of most songs many are production masterpieces.
The CEO Hitman Bang started this group as one. He started with RM, Suga and J-Hope for the rap line, then added Jin, non talented so he had to work his way up,, he wanted to be an actor. Then Jimin for his dance moves, Jungkook and last is V for the vocal line. It may help if you watch a BTS documentary on how they started. Great reaction video! PS, the great success that BTS is having came from Hitman Bang, who allowed the young boys to write their own story and cultivated their talents and helped them evolve into their own talents as they became men. They suffered discrimination, jealousy, false accusations, still to this day. Yet, they always rise above, along with us ARMY.
I TRIPLE that recommendation! These particular songs (after initially hearing Mic Drop) drew me further into BTS; Kim TaeHyung- "V" and his SOULFUL voice!!!
OMG I LOVE MIC DROP!. also I recommend doing "introduction to bts" by xcelest. It's an amazing documentary, documentaries are always a must! Also lyrics are really important so if you want you can watch the MV without CC and then watch videos that have lyrics, there are videos that are made for people to anylize the lyrics so it will be good for you to do that after every MV/song. Edit: Also when you added obama it's really funny cause this song was actually a reference to obama dripping the mic. Thats why in the live performance suga at the end drops the mic just like obama did
Since debut they started as 7, but prior to that Bangtan was supposed to be a pure hip-hop group, previous members included Iron and Supreme boi. When Bang Sihyuk decided that the group was going to be an idol hip-hop group RM, Suga and J-hope were the only members left from the original line up.
"There is no BOX!" Absolutely 💯! Next, we're gonna kick in the doors of the music industry (keep kicking actually) because these gatekeepers need to know we're in a fight! ARMY and BTS together!
You soon get used to watching captions. As someone who now watches about 80% of my tv and 95% of my RUclips music with captions, I’m not even aware I’m reading most of the time.
It's funny, I find myself turning on the captions on my TV most of the time for even ENGLISH now because I can't understand what they are saying or can't hear it-- and I am just used to seeing them.
Awesome review. You would love the live version of this done once again at an award show. You are right they are indeed their own genre and I don't believe that there is any kind of music they can't perform. The 2020 MMA performance of Black Swan speaks to this thought. Also No matter what song of their' you react to you won't fail. To add icing on the cake they are extremely humble and totally funny down to earth real people. I couldn't believe their duality. What you see on the stage is their professionalism but behind the scenes will absolutely make you fall in love with these 7 boys. Thank you for your honest review. Look forward to more of them.
I TOTALLY agree! I'm just waiting to see a concert in-person and hopefully see them face-to-face at the Fan Meets (pre-pandemic). @KTMusis Group You can catch what is recommended on "V-Live" [Since BTS was often 'dissed' at some Korean Variety Shows, they stopped going and created "RUN BTS" here] and on "WeVerse" App, they created "In The Soop" showing them hanging out 'on vacation' doing ordinary things like us {boxing, fishing, playing ping-pong, building crafts, painting, and MORE so you get to see additional individual talents!
Well I just love this video and your reaction! Thank you for all your kind words and for showing an understanding for BTS, what they stand for, and what being ARMY means. Have a great day!
Most of the time documentary videos don't mention that 'BTS was almost a different type of group. When Big Hit was forming a hip hop group Bangtan boys or should be called Bangtan In 2010 the group consisted of 7 members just like now . But the members were different. it consisted of RM, Suga, J-Hope, i11evn, HunChul, Kidoh, and Supreme Boi,. When Big Hit decided to change the group from a hip hop group the an idol group the only ones who stayed were RM, SUGA AND J-HOPE, Supreme Boi stayed at Big Hit as a producer and songwriter. Am so happy that BTS is the BTS that we know and love today.
Hi I'm a UK army and I don't think I have ever seen a group as good as BTS in all my 57 years. I think you would really like BTS best dance breaks. Their synchronisation is just like no others I have ever seen. Mind you they honed their craft sometimes up to 16 hours a day and it really shows. I notice a lot of reactioners to BTS look away from the screen a lot and they miss some of their intricate moves. They are so talented it's a shame to miss even a second of them. We have some good artists in the UK but none like BTS
The captions are important because their lyrics are fire, meaningful and inspiring. I know Boo, it's hard to read the words and watch the video. But it's worth it. I'm already 65 so my sight is not perfect😂👵🏿👍🏾🎶😍.
The members of BTS were recruited individually from different areas of South Korea. None of them knew each other. The youngest member, Jungkook, was only 14 (15 in Korean years) when he joined the group. They all lived together in a one bedroom apartment when they started out. Jin (one of the vocalists and the oldest member) couldn't sing or dance when they recruited him out of college (he was studying to be an actor). J-Hope was just a street dancer and they taught him to rap so he could become one of the rappers (he is also the main dancer and choreographer). I posted a couple of links on your reaction to On Kinetic Manifesto Film that is an introduction to each member and the other is of the group. Again thank you for doing BTS reactions and for doing them so well!
If you like their dancing, they have out of this world dance practice vids. Music videos move the camera around so you don't see the stunning choreography. You WILL NOT regret it.
They are truly genuine soulful hip-hop talented group of gentlemen. I feel exactly the same way you do. They remind me of the New Edition and The Jackson Five. They are my modern-day R&B and hip-hop group period . It could be the year 3333, and I would still listen to these legends. Only one BTS, and they can never be duplicated because you will have to have each individual do so, and that's real talk.
Bts started out as a Hip Hop group, tody the do all genres, 3 rappers have there own Mixtape, Rm/ Do You, Persona Mv, Sugae/ Daechwita, Shadow, J.Hope/ Daydream, Ego, and the vocalist have there own Songs, Jin/ Epiphant, Moon , Jimi/ Filter, V /Sibgularity, Inner Child, Jungkook/ My Time, Euphoria
I just found your reactions through this video. You are right they cross many genres. You might enjoy their Tiny Desk Concert. If you are looking for a singer that does that you might want to check out Dimash. I think in part what I like about both is their diversity. That and both have humble hearts. Many would suggest you start with SOS with Dimash. I suggest the Slavic Bazaar version with subtitles on as the song is in French. If you start with some of his newer music I would put a filter on it as the new team he has handling his youtube gets a bit block happy. As with BTS some fans can be overzealous just try and ignore that, most are very lovely. 😊 you will also find one of Dimash's music heroes is MJ
pretty sure I remember seeing a clip of RM (he's the leader of the group, the one who came out of the ambulance) saying that this song was inspired by then president Obama's mic drop speech that you attached there in the end
Watch the video twice. First for the overall MV, then watch again with the lyrica. Army will watch long reaction videos as they've already seen the videos.
That's what 5 - 7 years of training together produces. You REALLY NEED to check out " From Nobodies to Legends". and " Introduction to the Seven Members of Bangtan".
yeah :/ im sad this guy was getting disrespectful comments because it's completely unnecessary and he seems like a really nice dude. ARMY are a bit much sometimes
For next Thursday can you please react to BTS 4th Muster: Come Back Home, No More Dream, & Mic Drop live by BTS. The full video is 13 minutes long not 4. I hope you can find and watch it! Come back home is a must see live and No More Dream is their first song (debut song) as well.
You are absolutely right! They can pull off any genres and there’s no limit to what they can do. R&B suggestion is ‘Black Swan.’ If you want a little Latin style, please check out ‘Airplane Pt 2.’ If you want to do some funk, ‘Butter’ would be a good choice.
For Airplane Pt. 2, don’t miss the MV (they only have an MV for the Japanese version of this song). And you can find a lyric video to hear the Korean version with English translation. The J and K versions sound similar enough for this song (which isn’t always the case).
I never thought of what you said about 3 rappers and 4 singers because i just never occurred to me. i love music and the way i look at it is you do you ...
I have never been wrong when suggesting a song to my brother. We like all of the same music, just on opposite ends. I like the relationship you seem to have with your sister. It is so much like the relationship I have with my brother. Sometimes we only communicate in song recommendations.
I just talked about this video on another video you did 😂😂 they got the inspiration for this song from Pres. Obama speech where he mic dropped at the end..
You're all good!!!! The boys will be the first to say they have been influenced from all your references and then some, including MJ ++ Thank you I'm in this journey with you ♡♡
My first time on your channel -- thanks for the reaction 💜 this is definitely an Army fave and their discography is large -- i understand what u mean about mentioning another group to add a frame of reference, makes complete sense to me, and the groups u mentioned (New Edition and Jackson 5, both legendary in my books) - i appreciate also that u do research on the band incorporated with your reaction, there are reactors who have different ways of reacting and i appreciate your way -- i agree that BTS successfully incorporated different genres in their music - Bang PD (Previous CEO) gave them artistic freedom which is not always permitted in Recording companies be it in S. Korea or anywhere in the world -- music appreciation is subjective and people have different preferences- From my perspective, their music and message from their songs is timeless-- it deals with things that people go thru no matter what time period we are in, people are people and there are human experiences that transcends time -- for my journey to becoming a BTS Army, the more music I discovered and the more i listened to the lyrics, tying that with understanding BTS' journey that created the songs, i fully appreciate that they are very open and want to share their experiences thru their songs to the world - Another interesting thing about their albums is that each song are connected to the next creating an entire narrative describing the album -- it actually makes sense to listen to the songs in the order listed on the album, its like chapters for a book --- the lyrics in their songs show their depth in character and that they are deep thinkers, which makes them stand out -- for example, they have an album inspired from the works of Carl Jung called Map of the Soul 7, Map of the Soul is an actual book by Carl Jung, the BTS rabbit hole is quite a rabbit hole, it starts with the songs, then getting to know each member individually and then their strong bond with Army, documentary series, harvard papers written about BTS, recognition from world organizations like UNICEF and World Health organization, live performances, on line content (run BTS/bon voyage/Soop.episodes, the BTS Universe) with topped with their philanthropic work, they have been recently appointed special presidential envoy for culture and future generations by the president of S. Korea, they will be attending the UN General Assembly this September in NY which is their 3rd time, RM spoke at the UN gen assembly in 2018 partnering with UNICEF and 2nd time by th entire group in 2020 again with UNICEF, WHO applauding them for incl sign language in their choreo.for Permission to Dance, all of it inspires the fans that we can all make a difference in making our world a better place to live in -- im glad i discovered your channel - new subscriber here - stay safe 💜
New to your channel and as an ARMY since 2014, I have to admit I am Loving your reactions to BTS. I can not wait until you start reacting to their LIVE shows. I'll send you links soon💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
If you want them in sync please watch their older videos (dance practices) Suggestions -NO -Danger -i need u -we are bulletproof pt 2 -no more dream - run -not today -blood sweat and tears -dope -dna -ON
It's all good. I totally get your reference points when using different American boy band type groups when describing what you see. Being a 90's kid and growing up with N'Sync and Backstreet Boys and loving them that was what my brain first associated them with when I first got to know them. Due to quite a few folks negatively dismissing BTS as "just a boy band" a lot of Army get very protective when someone refers to them as that. I myself have always adored a solid boy band myself due to me being quite the sucker for good harmonies and choreography so I've never been bothered by the comparison. Most reactors I've found, when they're the type to put in the work to understand BTS, realize pretty fast that these fellows are on their own level. I look forward to more of your reactions.
If you wanna listen to kpop that involves pop, rock, and metal...you should check out girl band 'Dreamcatcher" - you will love their songs 'Scream' , 'Boca', and 'Odd eye'.
People who don't really know BTS refer to them as a boyband or boy group and no disrespect to boybands, but BTS is so much more than that for all the reasons others have shared and what you're finding out yourself as you react to their videos. With that said, I was actually really happy you mentioned New Edition! 😄 That was the "boygroup" of my day and part of me wanted to see BTS do some sort of song with the flava of a more recent song of Johnny Gill/New Edition (This One's for Me and You). BTS is BTS and they are their own genre. And one of the many reasons why I love them so much is that they are influenced by music and artists that I listened, and still listen to today. :) BTS pays homage to artists before them and has evolved into their own distinct greatness. I love how they empower others through their personal vulnerability, risk taking, self love, talent, and perseverance. 💜💜💜
Great reaction to an awesome track. Glad you enjoyed it but there are live performances including dance breaks that you must see, too! (SNL one for example)✌
I don‘t know what your preferences are but if you like R&B or jazz I suggest Black Swan, House of cards, Singularity and Stigma, if you like Hip Hop then Hip Hop lover, Joke, Do you, the cyphers, if you like rock music Dionysus and Boy in luv (you might need to search the lyric videos for some of the hip hop tracks, the lyrics are super important), hope that helps
KTMusicGroup React to these 7 songs by 'BTS..🥰🔥 1. BTS- DOPE MV 2. BTS- Not Today MV 3. BTS- Danger MV 4. BTS- Black Swan 5. BTS- We On, eng lyrics, 6. BTS- Paradise, eng lyrics 7. BTS- House Of Cards, eng lyrics On Thursdays..🥰✌💜

I love this saying 🤣 Nuclear kiss off is so correct.
The chairman of Hybe entertainment who was the CEO of Big Hit is Bang Sy Hyuk. He is a genius.
I haven't heard a song from them that was not good. They have a large discography and I think what mood you're in will determine which song is great at the moment. I would recommend you check out the lyrics too as most of their songs have deep meanings to it.💜

Agree. They provide a diverse discography to go with any mood.
Me… No more dreams hurts me like hell…
Three rappers RM, Suga, Jhope are great songwriter and producer.
Try “Dope” by BTS. You’ll love the sax, etc!
Yes, BTS definitely went "out of the box" and yes the CEO of HYBE (former Big Hit) is a genius. 👏👏👏
k-Pop tears the roof off. As you check out more groups, you'll see how talented these groups and artist are. BTS just does it Best!!! Their lyrics, message, and personality is what makes different. So proud of them.🤗

To back up Briony, RM(leader and first member of the group) did say in an interview that he was inspired by Obama's mic drop to write this song.
They make all hits. I mean, all hits, even the b-side tracks.
It might interest you to know the CEO, Bang Shi-Hyuk, is a musician and producer himself and is often very hands on with their music. BTS has been working with their own, same small writing/production team since day 1. They really are a force in music.

Nothing wrong with references, or even comparing. What really gets ARMYs goat is calling them ‘the Korean Xxx…’.
Enjoyed your reaction. Fake Love is the video my granddaughters used to introduce me to BTS. Yes everything they do is timeless.

Since you mentioned you do jazz reactions, they also have jazz crossover songs that you might like:)

This is awesome!!! Very well said!!
Perfect 😍👍🏾
"He ripped the top off that box" - you said and how!! . Enjoyed your reaction 💜
I love that!
They don't miss. I haven't heard a bad song and I've listen to at least 200 of them. 💜💜
Wow!!! I'm impressed.......Shelbi (ARMY)
I recommend you watch a get to know BTS video. Also, since your into jazz I recommend watching V's solo songs called Stigma and Singularity.
I second those!
Thats why in the live performance suga at the end drops the mic just like obama did
Update one 2013 -2021
Fake love....you love it 🔥🔥🔥🔥
They started off as 7, it was always the intention. 3 rappers and 4 singers.
This song got me into the bts rabbit hole lol So happy please check out their mv airplane pt2
Also an amazing song.
"There is no BOX!" Absolutely 💯! Next, we're gonna kick in the doors of the music industry (keep kicking actually) because these gatekeepers need to know we're in a fight! ARMY and BTS together!
YOU BET…BTS IS THE GENRE! SUPERLATIVE YOUNG MEN…ARTISTS! Thank you for your reaction.
FYI Barack Obama’s mic drop speech was part of the inspiration for this track according to RM.
They say that BTS is a genre🤯😉😁🤗💜🇺🇲
This is one of my favorites!
Dope and fire is good also..please look at it.
Bts write and produced there songs and make beats
I am sure you will love "Singularity" from BTS' member V. R&B vibes, you bet!
"There Is No Box" favorite quote
Enjoyed the reaction
If you sesrch 'Suga Mic Drop' in gif you will find a good one
It seems you're heard and saw things similar to the way I've seen them!
You are completely correct in everything you said in this video! 100%
Oh! comparisons for non-army prior subscribers I love it
It was a good BTS Thursday, thank you for your reactions.
Thank you also for the reaction requests and I'm glad you enjoy the 1st #BTSThursday. See you next Thursday!
Thanks for ur reaction💜💜
No problem 😊... My pleasure

😊 you will also find one of Dimash's music heroes is MJ
what i do is watch and read the caption first and watch the MV again. you may want to see NOT TODAY, FIRE, DIONYSUS for a start
Well this song it’s amazing , but all the song of BTS are great ✌️😉
ok ok ok... im subscribing
I`ve loved New Edition and MJ. I have missed them all
Me too!
pretty sure I remember seeing a clip of RM (he's the leader of the group, the one who came out of the ambulance) saying that this song was inspired by then president Obama's mic drop speech that you attached there in the end
I got lucky!
Enjoyed your reaction to Mic Drop. It is one of my favorites.
I do appreciate you’re honest opinion to the boy’s,they work so hard to be where they at right now and thank you for that
Bang PD getting some love💜
I'm from the UK & I know of New Edition, the group that Bobby Brown started in, loved New Edition, they were a cool group.😎👌
Love your reaction
Watch the video twice. First for the overall MV, then watch again with the lyrica. Army will watch long reaction videos as they've already seen the videos.
This is their 4th video to reach 1B views and two more are over 990m now. I think I'm going to love your channel. 💜
That's what 5 - 7 years of training together produces. You REALLY NEED to check out " From Nobodies to Legends". and " Introduction to the Seven Members of Bangtan".
Tore the roof off the box 📦💜 love it! Oh RM was inspired by that very speech when Obama dropped the mic 💜
Please react to The truth untold of the vocal line 😁
Another great reaction from you:) If you like jazz you should check solo from V(BTS member) Stigma and Singularity. You're gonna love his voice 😊
I’d love to see what you think of Black Swan 💜
The inspiration was Barak Obama`s Mic drop.
💜💜💜💜💜💜💜BTS... Heavenly...
ARMYs are SO ridiculous about getting upset about musical comparisons
yeah :/ im sad this guy was getting disrespectful comments because it's completely unnecessary and he seems like a really nice dude. ARMY are a bit much sometimes
I swear, some ARMYs argue over the dumbest things, but I think most of them are alright.

BTS "Come back Home Live 4th Muster"
Bts FAKE LOVE next plsss
I genuinely enjoyed your reaction. Thank you so much. ❤
When they began they would practice for 10 ton12 hours daily. So now they are so synchronized they don’t have to work as hard.
That makes sense.
I just talked about this video on another video you did 😂😂 they got the inspiration for this song from Pres. Obama speech where he mic dropped at the end..
You're all good!!!!
The boys will be the first to say they have been influenced
from all your references and then some, including MJ ++
Thank you I'm in this journey with you ♡♡
This song was inspired by Obama and Steve Aoki is a famous DJ who is the heir to The Benihana Restaurant. Yes all their songs are bangers.
You should watch the Mic Drop dance practice. There is a cool dance break in the middle.💜

Thank u
Please watch This is BTS: An Introduction by XCeleste to get to know the boys.

I don‘t know what your preferences are but if you like R&B or jazz I suggest Black Swan, House of cards, Singularity and Stigma, if you like Hip Hop then Hip Hop lover, Joke, Do you, the cyphers, if you like rock music Dionysus and Boy in luv (you might need to search the lyric videos for some of the hip hop tracks, the lyrics are super important), hope that helps
you should check out BTS live version, it's different feel altogether
Liked your content, and you are so nice and respectful, subscribedddd!
