I finally found my long-lost best friend! Imagine if we had been neighbors - we would have had a blast. We're so similar in interests and skills, though you're lucky to have your dad to share these experiences with. My dad prefers spending his final years relaxing in his recliner. Anyway, you're doing an amazing job, and it's wonderful to see your family enjoying the fruits of your hard work. Your RUclips videos are really making an impact on your audience!

I come from Germany and we build our homes almost completely with bricks. I always wonder if someone could just get a electric chainsaw and cut a hole in the side of a house to rob it (when the home owners are not home of course) because they are mostly out of wood in the USA. Has that happened before? Maybe it’s a stupid question but I ask this myself often, you get super safe doors and windows, so that no one can come in, but build walls out of wood that can be cut open easily.
And a quick word to the house you built in the video, I think it is a beautiful house, you built it with precision and dedication. I love it
I suppose someone could, but I’ve literally never heard of that happening around me haha. Someone did use a grinder to cut through a metal store building to rob though. So ultimately I think if someone wants to break in bad enough they can no matter what, even bricks aren’t that hard to remove. Thanks for watching!!

Well done! Now, where do I begin. Love the distressed beans and mantle. The technic used on the concrete countertops and hearth are pretty cool. Those turned out nice. I liked the use and placement of the shaker style siding. Breaks up all the horizontal lines on the outside of the house.

Very satisfying to watch. I would love to know how your costs came out. Looks like you built right through the huge lumber price increase. How many square feet? Instant equity for sure. True craftsman. I loved your beams. Well done men!
It was actually done before the huge price increases, luckily! It’s just under 1100sqft I believe. And yea they could probably sell and double their investment right now!
@@JohnBuildsIt hi you do amazing work. We are considering buying a farm house 1900 that has some solid bones and beautiful wood flooring and other nice features, but needs renovations. The previous owner made a large kitchen and built his cabinets with cherry wood from the farm in the 70’s w quartz countertops but needs to be redesigned. Where are you located? Central/East Pennsylvania by chance??
