    My GLI had a speed limiter at 220km/h I disconnected the gear position sensor on the transmission, which prevents the speedometer from registering and I was able to hit 247km/h on my GPS

      There is no way a stock engine could reach that kind of speed.

      @@081588101 I have a couple videos of the car on my page I just realized.
      Btw I bought the car used for 1000$ so I don't know what tune it has, but the Rev limiter is at 7200rpm where a stock 1.8t is at 6750 I think which Is why I believe it has been chipped, I put a boost gauge in it and it makes 12psi which is stock so I assume it's a stage 1 tune, my buddy has a stage 2 tune and it makes 21lbs then drops down to 18lbs

      @081588101  5 лет назад +9

      About 10 liter on 100km in the city (strongly depends on the driving style) and a little less on the highways and country roads.
      If you floor it, it will take a lot of fuel of course.

    • @081588101
      @081588101  4 года назад +3

      I recently drove about 450km on the Autobahn, mostly between 130-150km/h, despite some slow downs because of road constructions. The car used almost exactly 8,3 liter on 100km, which i think is amazing.

  • @finnishfatman

    How quick is it? As in 0-100 kmh? I'm about to buy one of those, just to toy around and see what I can do with it, but if it needs massive work to be quicker than my current vehicle (Jeep Grand Cherokee WK with tuned 5.7 hemi) which can do 0-100 kmh in 6.43, then I dunno if it's worth it really. I hope these little grocery getters could reach 6 fairly "easily", with some upgrades, but might need to do a bit of research on these. They certainly look like nice little cars and my first ever car was mk2 back in the day =)

    • @081588101
      @081588101  4 года назад +1

      The power potential is huge on these motors. However, its a FWD, so 0-100 will never be really quick and kind of pointless in my eyes.

    • @finnishfatman
      @finnishfatman 4 года назад +1

      @@081588101 That is very true. How well it can pass other cars (like semi's on highway) is much more important. What kinda upgrades would you suggest to get "the most" out of it, without going full on spend-all-money?

    • @081588101
      @081588101  4 года назад +1

      @@finnishfatman Depends on which engine code you have. This is a AGU which can take the most power on stock internals ( probably around 300hp at the crank ). If you have this motor i would suggest a small K04 turbo, full exhaust, bigger intercooler and a proper tune. Not sure about the fuel system though. If you have one of the others, i would do the same, but with the stock turbo.
      But you need to make sure the motor is in good working order beforehand, of course.

    Is this the 110kw (150 hp) or the 132kw version ? I'm looking into getting one of these as my first car . The 132 kw versions are hard to find in my country and much more expensive ,worth the extra ?

    • @081588101
      @081588101  3 года назад +1

      This is the AGU engine (150hp, K03 Turbo) with a tune on it. I highly recommend the 180hp version (not sure about the motor code) as it has the K03S Turbo and is much more potent. On a downside, the motor itself is a little "weaker" than the AGU.
      Make up your mind what exactly you wanna do with the car and then decide. If you plan to swap the Turbo anyway, go for the AGU motor.
