Never seen Pitman run so much either! The prestige of this trophy is small, but the occasion was big yesterday.
Jamal Lowe what a star, credit to whole squad for digging in and coming back in style to win. Must admit Ollie Hawkins taking the 5th penalty had me very worried, but he delivered the goods to win the trophy.

Sunderland were fantastic in the first half, full credit to them they should have been out of sight by half time. We were a completely different side after about 55 minutes. Sunderland barely got a look in after that. Evans and Hawkins made a huge difference, and Walkes looked sharp when he came on. On the balance of play, I think we deserved the result in the end. What the hell was Pitman on though? At least twice he outran Lowe to the ball! Did he have a leg transplant with a gazelle?
James Bennett. I was amazed the amount of pitch Pitman covered, 90 minutes and extra time, he’ll be knackered for a few days haha. Evans made a hell of a difference when he came on. PUPPPU
