The young man who played Martin was so good at being odd and unsettling and awkward yet somehow compelling. Great movie! Loved it! The music was critical in this movie in setting the mood.
That's our Barry Keoghan the best actor from Ireland hands down the most talented actor in the world right now❤
"I'd love to start asking you a few questions by asking you a few questions..." Wait, is THIS a Lanthimos film?
Was literally thinking the same, i laughed when she said that cause it sounded so meta
barry keoghan is such a top tier actor. he embodies martin so enticingly and kept me watching.
I wish people would ask better questions
It always happens, even on professional events such as Cannes. As far as I understood when I just watched the Cannes press, one journalist wanted to know how Martin did the things he did. Well, it's sort of the point of the film and the intrigue not to know. Duh.
Some people just can't handle open endings or unanswered questions in movies. Where are peoples' imaginations?
I found this movie unforgettable and brilliantly addictive but also uncomfortable to watch . Has to be in my top five favorite movies ive ever seen.
It's my new favourite movie of all time
this interview is weirder than the movie, or maybe they stayed in character
Well said 😃
Colin Farrell has such a powerful way of describing his experience when appearing in a film that exceeds his own expectations... this film along with The Lobster and Triage appear to have left an impact on him.
That’s a nice watch he’s wearing. Nice leather band. I wonder if it’s waterproof.
Yes 100 metres water resistance
It would’ve been better if it were metal… it last longer even though it’s more expensive
why no chairs ?! it's like they're getting investigated with !
Its canada !!!! Thats why !
Sunny Suljic is really cool!
*** SPOILERALERT ***
He even makes a somewhat hidden joke about Colin killing him in the movie when he says "She is cool, he's not." Composed little guy he is.
Jonathan Walther he also does the voice of Atreus, Kratos' son in the new God of War video game
@@saifkhan_95 Awesome, I knew his voice sounded familiar!
Barry is such a lad 🤣
This is one of the weirdest films I've ever seen. Yet I was transfixed and couldnt stop watching it. The music WAS another character. Seems this filmmaker was striving really hard to create something profound but really ended up with just a strange and unsettling movie.
Everyone in this cast seems high, including the kid
watching the kids get nervous with the questions made me laugh out loud
People are commenting about how awkward the kids are acting as if this whole q&a isn’t awkward to begin with. They didn’t even bring chairs for the actors to sit on for the 20 minute long q&a, and most of the questions are bad.
A great movie, with a very original script, disturbing, dramatic, like a Greek legend. Brilliant performance of all cast especially Colin Farrell
Yorgos prefers the leather watch strap. Freakishly good film.
This movie is a masterpiece!
Movie and performances are brilliant.
They really asked Yorgos the tired old question where do you get your ideas more than once lol
Microphone for the audience would be a good idea.
I just watched this film last night. amazing, better than The Lobster, its The Lobster V2.0 on steroids. Enough about this crappy letterbox type review...... These younger actors all look at Colin and Nicole during their questioning. They want their guidance, and im sure subconsciously, have a feeling that they do see them as paternal figures.
Badly set up interview..loved the film
Barry is hilarious, Colin is so suave, and sunny is tiny next 2 nicole
This was so chaotic help 😭
This is the weirdest interview I ever watched seriously too awkward why I'm not feeling any bonding
Poor Lanthimos, he even doesn't understand what he's talking about lol 😂
I watch many interviews of Yorgos and every time someone bring up Kubrick, he seems a little upset and annoyed
Barry is either high or "too cool" or totally uncomfartable.
who is the host ?
Great cast, though some of the worst questions I’ve ever heard.
Is Barry high?
I wonder this every time I see him in an interview
tipsy
I didn't "get" the movie but was spellbound nevertheless
I swear Yorgos Lanthimos movies are confusing than geometry.
Grammatical Erorr since when is geometry and trigo confusing
he is greek u know that right ? :) :P we produce briliand minds even in the modern world
Barry Keegan? lol
I hope everyone liked the film that was mine cos I thought they played it well I just haven't heard from any one to do with it
7:00
why weren't they all just british/irish in the film?
I was literally just thinking this going back and watching some of these interviews
Only Colin and Nicole were cool, composed and articulate, the others were er......nervous, sort of out of it !
They have both been Hollywood famous doing these press junkets for 20 years everyone else is young or just recently successful
They really are weird people WOW
I guess they were out of chairs for the actors?
That was awkward
that dude chewing gum, it's rebel without a clue please be respectful , it looks tacky when everyone is being professioal
why mate.?
THAT THE REASON THEY CAST HIM FOR THIS ROLE!!!
This was like pulling teeth to get the cast to talk in depth. Christ.
To me it was majorly Stanley Kubrick influenced . A bit pretentious and slow.
Spit the chewing gum out son. Show some manners.
He is high
😁
He also has bad adhd
The movie was disturbing, kept hoping for better but never changed (I kept doing the 10 sec forwarding). Watching this interview it's just as bad! They are mute! Only Collin had at least some type of dialogue! OMG, good actors, horrible movie! That kid with the gum, annoying in the movie and in this interview!
You seem really dense
Ik this was 3 years ago but barry keoghan is an amazing person, very down to earth. This interview was kinda awkward but they were probably just nervous, or drunk, or both 💀
watched this because it looked like a good cast. Boy, was I srong! I’ve seen thousands of movies over 80 years and I must say that this was the worst film I’ve ever seen or endured.no explanations for happenings or ordeals. Absolutely a piece if crap- no excuses or praise accepted. watching this was torture!
perhaps the director is part of “a new wave” , but if this is the future of film we’re in trouble
Only actors could appreciate this film. I hated it...too weird & chilling...never will see any films directed by Yorgos, if this is typical of his work. If you like Theater of the Absurd drowned in horror, you might want to see it.
I'd recommend checking out The Lobster. its a bit more lighthearted. Still extremely weird, but its got a lot of good laughs and is a really fun watch.
D S thats the point of yorgos’ movies. Its all unsettling, chilling, and creepy. That unsettling feeling when you watch a yorgos lanthimos movie is what i really like about his work
The Lobster is a dull, depressing, slow pointless film, and this just built on that to go even more slow and pointless.
Not all movies are for everyone his movies ease my disturbed mind
