This video is a tutorial that explains how to knit a scrappy mug rug with an applied i-cord border. No weaving in ends at all!!
    Supplies:
    -5 mm needles
-5 strands of (leftover) fingering weight yarn
-crochet hook of a similar size (I used 5.5 mm)
    -scissors
    Pattern:
Cast on 18 st (or more, or less, you do you boo).
Row 1: k16 (if you cast on 18), sl2 pw wyif.
Repeat row 1 until you reach the desired length. I did 16 rows.
    Bind off all your stitches.
Cut fringe, pull loops through edge using crochet hook, put ends through the loop, and tighten. Repeat until you've attached all your fringe.
Trim your fringe to the desired length.
    That's it!

What a great idea Sylvia! This is a good way to use up some yarn scraps and the mug rug turned out so cute! 😍

Thanks! Wasn't really my idea, have seen a couple podcasters make them but didn't see a tutorial so I figured I could put it out there in the world 😚
