Johnny you actually got me to look for crocodile green paint for my carvings and I really like the color. Everytime I go to Walmart or Micheal's I look for colors I don't have that would make my carvings pop.
Johnny love the painting videos I think they are very helpful please keep making them. Also I was wondering if you could do some type of wolf carving? Your carving friend from Kentucky.

Interesting❤ do more videos 🎉..is it necessary for carved piece to take oil bath in (boiled linseed or walnut )before painting ?....your way of doing is different and nice ❤
I don't oil them prior to painting at all. Just wash them, then I go ahead and paint them. After drying they go into the antiquing solution I talked about in the video.
I'm thinking Danish oil as a excellence first primer coat Something I experienced in wood working projects. Have you tried Danish oil instead of your water scrub technique..... maybe you are very happy with the water scrub using your paints , might test both
I enjoy your painting video's. They are worth your time to me. LOL
Thanks brother! I appreciate it!
The painting videos are very helpful. I like the dry brushing technique I’ve been using it on a few of my projects.
Thanks Chris, i really appreciate you taking a moment to say that! Thanks for watching.
Love your videos. Keep them coming. Thanks
@@Ray_Steinhart it's too much fun to stop now! 😀😀

That's awesome. I can't go to Wal-Mart, Hobby Lobby, or any craft store without skulking through the craft paints and at least a handful of loot! =)
@JohnnyTheLayton I come home with paint ever month
@@moonwolf7135 That's the way to do it!

I've used danish oil, tung oil, teak oil, and mineral oil. I like water. 😀
