- after an excruciating, accidental gap year (and a half) - I'm finally going back to college in the spring of 2019!! and we have great news about Nathan!!!
I took a gap year in 2015 after graduating high school in 2014. In the fall of 2015, I went to New Orleans for university. I studied abroad in France in the spring of 2017. I wanted to transfer back to a UC in California but, I was rejected from every college - LONG STORY.
In early 2018, I found out I was accepted to every college I applied to... but could not afford them (because they were all expensive private schools in LA and NYC.) Finally, I am an in-state resident of New York and I'll be attending a very affordable CUNY school! woo woo! In January, Nathan and I will leave England, head back to New York, find an apartment, and finally live stable lives! We are so excited.

Hello my dudes! My name is Tiffany Ferguson. I’m a 23 year old sharing my thoughts and life experiences. I'm from Orange County, California, currently living on Long Island, New York! Growing up I always used to believe that life was a straight path because that's how it was always described to me. Now being in my midtwenties, I've realized that having a "straight path" is RARE. I know almost no one my age or older who has had one, myself included. Everyone has changed or dropped out of colleges, majors, careers, taken breaks and gaps, etc at least once in their young adult life (often more). It is most definitely the exception rather than the rule. Embrace the journey!
This is big. I watched your “rejected from every college” video when I was going through a hard transition from a UC. Now I’m at a different UC that I absolutely love, getting some good opportunities, and meeting interesting people. It’s inspiring to see your life is falling into place

YAY GIRL!!!! I’m so glad you’ll be able to finish your college journey. (I wouldn’t have judged if you didn’t go back but you were applying and wanted to go back and now it finally worked out!) I graduated in May and finally found a job recently. I’m loving that stability of knowing what I’m doing for at least the next year and I’m psyched that you’ll have that soon too. Also congrats to Nathan on the visa. I hope 2019 is good to you! My goal for 2019 is to become vegetarian and work to eliminate non-vegan things in my life.
You're in a LDR too?! Or rather you've closed the distance now!! That's amazing!! Congratulations. My girlfriend is British as well, hah. Gah, so happy to hear that for you. Good luck on no soda (hope it's been going alright since we're already in March). I've been sodaless for like 8 years, but I'm with ya on trying to get a consistent gym routine.

Dear Tiffany, i have found your channel only about an hour ago and have to say THANK YOU SO SO MUCH FOR YOUR CONTENT. I have finished high school this year in Germany and have ended up doing a ‚gap year‘ bcs i wasnt accepted into med school right away. Due to all of my friends being in uni while i‘m staying at home and working jobs to save up money, the last few months were filled with self doubt as well as the ppl around me doubting me. I was questioning my goals and whether they’re attainable or even the right thing for me. Overall, I’ve been living in constant fear about my future and panicking about wasting my time currently. I’ve watched so many YT vids on uni and familiar topics which have mostly made me even more anxious.
As I’ve stated, I just found your channel and let me tell you, from the first minute on, you have calmed me so so much which i cannot be thankful enough for this year. I knew that apparently, no one really knows what they’re doing in their early 20s but it wasnt until i found you that i actually started to feel hopeful again. You help me release the panic already and just try my best. Thank you for everything you do

Hey, I know you probably won't see this but I am from Germany, too and I have studied at university for five years before I changed to an FH - I am still friends with lots of medicine students and if you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask me. I was super worried about these things as well and didn't know what to do and right now, I have one of the "straightest" paths of the people around me. Life is far more complicated than what our teachers seem to believe.
So so so happy for you. I can just tell 2019 is going to be yours. You found your stride on RUclips , living in NY with Nathan and going to college. So proud I own a hello my dudes shirt. Goals for 2019 is to get through my final year of secondary school and get into college not sure what course but hope 2019 reveals it for me 😄

Omg YAY!! I’m so happy for you and Nathan! I feel this on a deeper level, cus I can relate SO, SO much to your struggles in 2018... I had a looong year trying to get my Green Card, and I literally just got it, so now my American partner and I are able to stay together in California + I can FINALLY start school as a CA resident starting this January also!! I totally feel like I’ve been on this whole journey with you - things aren’t simple when you try to make college and an international relationship happen at the same time lol!

CUNY is wonderful. You'll love it here. Great education that won't put you crazy in-debt like most universities. For a lower income student like myself who didn't want to spend the rest of my life paying back student debt, CUNY was a godsend. Good luck on your journey here!

NYC Apartment Hunting Tip! , Tiffany, I am elated by your news. This has literally been the suspenseful arc on the narrative of your life and it's all come to full fruition after all of the those tears, the persistence, banking on so many what-ifs!! And finally you and Nathan have reached some solid ground! Continue to take it one day at time as we welcome 2019 into our lives!! I wish you luck on the NYC apartment hunt as it is never an easy thing to do, especially during the winter months, but the listings you do find in the winter months are more affordable since less people are on the market to find an apartment during that time.
