She’s absolutely gorgeous, and I love her name! I lost my 15 yr old rescue last month, and it gives me such joy to see her, and know how loved she is, and what happiness she brings you. Congrats Cassie, she is absolutely gorgeous!!!! I love cats, we've had cats all my life....Mum and Dad are both animal lovers and so we always had multiple fur babies. Mum used to breed Siamese cats when we first came to Canada form the UK. Since then we've just adopted, found or rescued. I say, once you get one you're going to need to get a second...not fair to have her on her own without a sibling or friend 🥰❤🐾. At least consider it, they play together, snuggle and sleep together and generally just keep each other company! 🥰

My kitty, Min, is a British Shorthair/Tabby mix. She's a crazy snugglebeast and her fur is so soft. At 6 years old; she still loves zoomies and is very playful. We adopted her at age 3.

Yay! Angelica is soooo cute. I have a grey cat called Theodore. He was 6 weeks old and its like looking after a human baby. Sleep, poo, eat, play, sleep and repeat. Cats are the best!
Kittens don't shed much. Once they get their adult coat they will leave hair everywhere. Kittens are very fluffy and the adult hair is thicker and smoother.
What a beautiful baby 😭😭❤️❤️! We just adopted two kittens from a local shelter after losing our 12 year old baby girl to cancer. Cats are the best!!

Sorry for your loss. My 22 year old cat passed away in October. She was 6 weeks old when 9/11 happened. The vet said she died from old age. Perfect health otherwise. (Jan Griffiths).

This is my favorite video!! The Angelica Cam had me rolling 😂 As a long-time cat owner from the time I was a little girl all the things you are describing are so normal in the early stages. I always say that dog's #1 priority is their owner, a cat's #1 priority is their environment. It's just how they are. So don't be surprised if she gets distressed in a new environment even when you are around. I'm so happy for you guys! Congrats she is a beauty and a little angel.

We are exactly the same with our 2 Scottish terriers (2yr old and 18month old), everyday we catch ourselves watching them, smiling when they come into the room and seeing their little personalities. Our girl Rey (Star Wars inspired name) takes after me and my mum in loving bags 😂, any bag and she wants to check it out but her tail wags the most for luxury bags 😂

Love that little Angel. I'm also more of a dog person (I have 2 Dachshunds). But I had 2 cats at the same time for 15 years - one was a lot like yours, and I miss him terribly. (He was a Russian Blue and acted more like a dog than a cat.) Word of advice - Don't let her roam where you don't want her to go - (like taking that tiny little orange mini Birken!!) Start now. Enjoy your sweet girl. : )

Cassie, I have a small dog about 4 pounds and her neck size is typically the same size as an average cat. What I did instead of getting a Tiffany collar it was getting a preloved leather Tiffany bracelet and it fits her perfectly and with so much cheaper than the collar!

She’s beautiful. We have 2 British Shorthairs’ mother (lilac) and son (lilac colourpoint). They have huge personalities. Our oldest is like Miss Havisham from Great Expectations and the youngest channels Jeremy Clarkson.

Aww she is so cute! A tip to keep the scratching of the bags is to get one of those cat trees, I have a bigger one for my 3 darlings and have saved many furnitures and bags on that! She will probably be good with a small one 👍🏼❤️

she is so cute!!! we used to have a gray cat too--ours was a Siberian blue. Just train her well because ours loved nothing more than pee in my sister's bags. Angelica is such a cutie!!!
Angelica is so adorable! Welcome to feline mom-hood haha❤. British shorthair cats are one of my favorite breeds (almost bought one for $2800). I would suggest eventually getting pet insurance. We use Metlife pet insurance (reimburse about 95% of the vet bills). We have an 8yr and 14yr old and vet visits for preventative care (different tests) can cost a lot, especially the emergency type visits, which I hope you don’t ever experience. I love how she was claiming the Birkin. When they rub their face on things, it’s their way of saying ‘this is mine’ 😂 definitely Cassie’s kitty 🐱.

She’s adorable! Keep brushing her, kittens don’t seem to shed as much I think because they still have this baby hairs, but when she’s older she’ll likely shed some, but if you brush it shouldn’t be bad!

I am a catmother of 2 wonderful Maine Coon/ Siamese mix cats. Cats don't need walked, however, they need lots of affection, a clean litter box, and plenty of playtime with toys.Cats do not need collars and make sure not to get one with bells on it as they have sensitive ears. They are not as aloof as people think they are, which is great because who doesn't love an affectionate furbaby. My babies are 14 and I can still remember when I adopted them. FYI, they are 2 year olds that never grow up. :) Congrats on your new baby!

As someone with 2 cats and one chinchilla, 6 cats would be less work than the chinchilla. I love my dusty boy to pieces, but we did need a chinchilla proofed environment for him, air purifier to deal with the dust, you can clean several times a day and there’s still stuff to clean end of the day so… not at all a pet for beginners. I’d say dogs are easier than chinchillas too. But cats are perfectly low maintenance and very loyal/cuddly when kept 100% indoors
Lovely Angelica. Wow, her first catwalk debut across the back of your seat, cutie. Keep your bags away from her! Wait until after winter for the shedding. Great to get her use to combing now. I had a Chinchilla called Natasha. Very independent, didn’t want cuddles and most of the time she carried on like a top dog. Couldn’t get near her with a brush or comb. Needed a metal suit. Loved her though. I have two moggies now. Gypsy and Sir Reginald (Reggie). I suppose a designer bed is out the window if she is already has got you where she wants you with the bed access. lol. My two sleep on my bed mostly, occasionally other furniture, but never the cat beds.

She is gorgeous. I have always had rescue cats but we got 2 kittens in lockdown. They are 3 now but bring so much joy. I’m a bit uneasy that you didn’t see her parents and you don’t seem to have been very well prepared in terms of a carrier, litter etc. I recommend Jackson Galaxy’s videos to learn about cat care.
I love her so much!!!! She is like your little mini me! I have had cats most of my life, their personalities are so much fun! She may do some naughty things as a kitten but she will grow out of it then you will miss it. You want to get her at least a little scratching post to scratch. and we clip our kitties claws regularly to keep them from being so sharp. Good luck!!! Eagle Point Oregon
