- Create digital makeup effects that stick to the skin with PowerMesh motion tracking from Boris FX! In this tutorial, Mocha product manager, Martin Brennand uses the Mocha Pro OFX plug-in running inside HitFilm Pro, but this technique will also work inside all other supported applications including After Effects, Premiere Pro, and other OFX hosts.
PowerMesh is Mocha's flexible sub-planar motion tracking that allows you to capture organic motion. Learn how to create the effect of creeping zombification and create your own Halloween horror transformations.

Thx Martin! Nice tutorial 👍
Glad you like it. Who is Brandon? ;) I think you mean Martin.
@@BorisFXco i thought he said Martin Brandon :-)

I wholeheartedly agree with OP's comment and I, too, would very much like to thank Martin Brando and all you good folks over at DorisFX for this superb tutorial!
You guys rock!
Now, time to see what Mary Poppins have to say about Mocha AE & Multi-Frame rendering in that video you recently uploaded.
_(But seriously, thank you! I often find myself genuinely impressed by how in-tune and excellent your communication with us is. )_
Borisfx its great the you added the video clip for us to follow along, :-) you should for all you training videos, very helpful!
Thanks, we do try!
Sweet, im going to work on adapting this for AE lol
Of course! We already have a bunch of PowerMesh videos for AE, so wanted to give HitFilm users some love. ;)
@@BorisFXco Give some love to Fusion too 😢😭
You're right. Just know that Fusion is high up on our tutorial request list.
@@BorisFXco how about a little more Vegas pro/post Love too?
Watch this space! We just released a couple of new Vegas tutorials last week. We're trying 😃
Love this video. It's straight to the point, and easy to follow. I do have one question. How do you get the viewers to be side-by-side in Hitfilm? I have been trying to adjust the layout, but I think I am missing it somehow.
Hi, I checked with Martin and he said he just used the default workspace for this tutorial. It could be that things have changed in the latest version of Hitfilm, but there wasn't any particular trick to it. Sorry I couldn't help more.
thanx for the tutor !!!
No worries! Glad you liked it.
In 2019 I just installed MOCHA in my potato pc
Rest in peace
⚰️🥔🤍
Is the hitfilm mocha automatically mocha pro and does it include powermesh, or do i have to get mocha pro separately?
Hitfilm Mocha is limited to the tracking and masking modules of Mocha. Mocha Pro gives you the more advanced ones, including PowerMesh. Here's a comparison chart for you : borisfx.com/products/mocha-pro/?collection=mocha-pro&product=mocha-pro
hi there. i subscribed for hitfilm pro but when i launch mocha i don't see the option for mesh. any suggestion?
Mocha for Hitfilm does not include PowerMesh. If you have Mocha Pro for OFX, you can use that but not the bundled "Mocha for Hitfilm" product.
Here's more info and a comparison between the different products : bit.ly/30FLFMZ
@@BorisFXco thank you!
Hi BorisFX, what effects or filters would you recommend for recreate your makeup effect using just Vegas pro?
That's a tough one to say, because without the mesh tracking it's not going to look the same. You could try with some of Vegas' built-in trackers.
@@BorisFXco
Sigh, ok, since this is, a Mocha Pro PowerMesh tutorial, one would assume that powermesh tracking data
would be a prerequisite, also it has nothing to do with my question.
so let try this again.
your makeup effect appearance, which is made up of fractal noise and storm clouds that you used out of the Hitfilm Effects list. but, using just Vegas pro,(and Mocha pro) what effects or filters, would you recommend for recreating your makeup effect in appearance in Vegas pro? (something close in appearance anyway)
i actually havent tried their new built in tracker yet, no need :-) i got Mocha
Go to the forums and ask there. You'll get a more detailed response than you would here : forum.borisfx.com. Lay off the sighing too. It doesn't make people want to help you.
Amigos, lo pueden explicar para After? Gracias y saludos desde Argentina
Hi Guillermo, we have multiple Powermesh for After Effects videos. We recommend this one: ruclips.net/video/dZE0d8w5M5c/видео.html
