Kenyans have until the end of August to update their prepaid token systems

Kenyans have until the end of August to update their prepaid token systems, commonly known as token meters, to continue accessing electricity. The power provider says the update is part of an ongoing global initiative to ensure the security of generated tokens for all prepaid meters that use the standard transfer specification. A total of 7.5 million prepaid meters are targeted for this exercise.
