killgrave is easily one of the beast villains ive ever had the pleasure to come across in tv shows or movies, he was so well written, and was one of the biggest reasons Jessica Jones is my second favorite of the defenders tv shows other than daredevil which is my first.

In the case of the Brood, it was more Cameron backfit their concept into the Alien universe when he was handed Aliens.
My first exposure to Shuma-Gorath was Marvel Ultimate Alliance, which paints him in a much more ambivalent (even mild mannered if not borderline benevolent) so I was kinda surprised when I found out he was a bad guy.
It's a shame how underepresented he is in the films. The 2015 Fantastic Four is actually the closest they have come to replicated the true villainous reputation of Doctor Doom.
