I sustained an ulnar nerve injury 30 years ago. The physician prescribed this exercise to regain the fine movements in fingers. I do it with a pen 60 times in a row several times a day. Great exercise. Thanks for posting!

I can do the first half of the rotation, but the second half of the rotation feels uncomfortable, I try to pass it through my middle finger the second time and the stick keeps hitting my middle finger instead of going over then closing it to pass it to the other fingers, not only that, but finger between the middle and pinky keeps collapsing when I try to pass it to my middle finger.

I don’t go back up. When I spin the stick, it goes all the way down until it’s between my pinky and ring finger, then I pick up from the start by bending my pointer finger so that it’s under the stick (while the pinky and ring finger are holding the stick but the pinky is in front of the middle finger to make the stick look like -) and then release the pinky grip, put my pointer back up, and just go down again

Secret comes in applying force while spinning with pinky and ring fingers. The rest being careful while going back to these two.
