11:00 This may be Up Special, as other characters such as Ness/Lucas have a similar Arrow for theirs as well. It's also started in the up position and had to be moved to the front, instead of starting in the front and being moved upwards.
The move that cut Midgar might also be up special. It appears to have the same sword drawn back charging animation. It may be that charging it or being in Winged form makes it multihit. Not sure why the arrow didn't appear though. I don't think it's an up air because of how slow it is, and how much he moved up.
Idk about that considering he's always just casually falling his sword into people's lungs. Can't remember an appearance where he fast falls with that.

So what I've noticed is his movesets looks a lot like his moveset in Final Fantasy Dissidia. For those who don't know, Final Fantasy: Dissidia is actually a 3d fighting game with characters from different Final Fantasy games. Maybe you could say its the Final Fantasy equivalent of Smash. I've seen Octaslash, Scintilla, Shadow Flare, Heavens Light(?) and Hell's Gate(?). I think theses moves will function somewhat the same as in Dissidia.
The scene with Mario and Sephiroth is most likely a grapple move, and then the end scene is the final smash in his final boss state. I have a feeling he's going to use the attack that destroys the solar system.
What do Sephiroth & Sonic have in common? They both took down a BOSS character with little to no effort while the rest of Smash Characters struggled....
my theory is that the neutral special move doesn't instakill but is like a mine, notice that link was drawing his bow when it exploded that might mean if a range character tries to shoot something and it hits one of the three orbs orbiting them they detonate.
5:40 I'm assuming that's shadow flare. You could look it up on dissidia or even kingdom hearts. He summons dark projectiles that circles around the target before hitting them after a set amount of time.

Welp before 5:00 I think he’s gonna be fast and a little heavy (about Terry’s weight) he’ll good range and nock back but probably not much damage behind it until he gets his wing. Tier list wise I’d say he’s either high mid or maybe up in top. I think his wing is like a mix of limit or Joker’s rebels guard. The cruse move is like a crash bomber with the timed explosion but with wing he gets it buffed and it explodes on impact. I’m not sure if the octo slash (that move he used on Ike) might be a side B or up B. I think Octo Slash has a bit of invincibility. Down air is gonna be a spike but goes down like toon link expect no wind or landing hit box. Forward air is gonna be like Byleth, skinny but powerful and good range. I recommend being passive aggressive with this character. Fight from afar until your winged form comes then go all out force on your enemies
That purple projectile attack is called Shadow Flare. If you want to know how it will likely work, look up Dissidia. In that, it was a remote spawn projectile that had the purple orbs converge on the enemy. It was a stupidly safe camping move! And in here, it could also have Joker’s fire damage over time property!
You forgot to talk about Omnislash Ver. 5 and The ending where Sephiroth glows with his final smash and it shows a bright image of him as an angel (which is prob final smash) so here’s my predictions. Omnislash Ver. 5 is prob gonna be a special final smash for Cloud vs Sephiroth I doubt that they would completely change Clouds Final Smash. And second Sephiroth’s final smash seems to be very large but idk if that means it hits everyone on the stage kinda like Bowser Jr’s but it looks like a very big Final Smash.
Im pretty sure that attack that you thought was his final smash is actually just a more powered up neutralh-B, because they Hint at his final smash at the very very end of the trailer. Good analysis tho!

Sonic is the 3rd party franchise to need another representative. There are 3 possible characters to become characters: Shadow, Tails, Dr. Eggman. In my opinion it should be Shadow to break the (-) stigma on Sonic as campy & annoying playstyle. To also break the mold of having TWO spin dashes (just why did they do this?). We see a patern in Fighters Pass 2, that the characters are from the same company from Fighter Pass 1. We have Nintendo with Byleth & Min Min. We have Microsoft with Banjo & Steve. We have Squire Enix with Hero & Sepiroth. Now we three slots left. So far the two other companies Altus & SNK & third slot for fan favorite. Joker from Persona franchise which is owned by Altus franchise which is also owned by Sega. So Sega can add another Sonic representative in Smash. Shadow can be added in a way that Sakurai tells us the Assist Trophy Shadow is a "Shadow Android" & gives the possibility for the real Shadow to be playable. I think Shadow should be the one to break the Assist Trophy "fan rule". Shadow can be sort of a mix between Sonic & Mewtwo with a hint of EDGE to the hog. A character who is nearly as fast as Sonic with Chaos powers that can teleport, throw projectiles, can even create a huge explosion (Chaos Blast). This time Sakurai needs to bring moveset from SONIC BATTLE to Shadow's moveset. Make people appreciate the Sonic Franchise. Not to mention that Sonic's 30th anniversary is right around the corner. What better way to celebrate than to bring in "The ULTIMATE LIFEFORM" in Smash Ultimate....
i think sephiroth is going to be a ground based keep out character in playstyle. probably going to be pretty clunky and have a bad disadvantage state. i bet he'll be a heavy though. i didnt play FF7 but i like sword characters so i'll probably play him a lot.
I think i got his specials Down b is counter Neutral is the orbs when charged you get an explosion Or sode explosion while his up special is one winged angel cause you can angel it look at the arrow Also final smash seems like the angel form from ff7 as seen from the post scene in the trailer
I don't have fighter pass 1, I don't even have the game, and but even a Switch. But I will get it one day in the future. Hopefully, like for Smash 4, they'll offer a full package for a reduced price.
And here’s something that I didn’t know about until it was unfortunately too late: those who get the game early get a new character, that being Piranha Plant.
The multi slash thing he does I think is gonna be his up b. First Frame we could see of the attack shows the arrow facing up and then it circles around to the right. This implies to me that up is held to start the move. Similar to how pichu and Pikachu have an arrow that shows what way they are gonna go with their up b. Tbf we have limited footage and we may not have seen the full start up but still.
The upair he does also has the star meaning that he can charge his upair. His forward air probably can be charged as well which can make him stick to walls. Also you didn't comment about his limit break which sprouts the wing and might give him additional move like the explosion he sets in the trailer (which isn't his final smash because we already know that would be his final transformation we saw at the end of the trailer)
Honestly why do you guys think that Sephiroth Kaboom is his Final Smash? It's his Side Special attack! No one knows when a PNG is a final smash or not these days.
I highly doubt it. Love his moves tho. I'm thinking he's the Sm4sh Bayonetta for Ultimate cuz he looks like he can beat every character. S tier character is what I'm thinking.

He also seems like a heavy when he got hit by Terry and Chrome, honestly to fit his actual character and power, he needs to be at LEAST be hopefully as fast as Mii Brawler because they are not the fastest but Mii Brawler is at least in the top 28 and they still aren't even crazy fast

Thats what i also thought.
Pikachu and Pichu also have this and I believe one of Mii sword fighter's up B also has this with a similar animation to Sephirtoth's.

The fireball explosion is probably not the final smash. There is no way they would not use his final boss form for his final smash.

The star is often used in aerial moves to indicate a big impact, like in Samus’ down air and Mario forward air, but neither of those are chargeable.
