Hello everyone! Don't forget to check the video description for links to all the art supplies I mentioned in this video! What art supplies have you been enjoying lately? Let me know! ~Kerrie
I recently got into gouache and got a whole bunch of Holbein Artist’s gouache and kind of love them. I haven’t had time to use them as much as I’d like since all my extra time is filled with two huge commissions, but I’m hoping to get back to them soon!!!
This is the first time I've heard about people not liking art hauls. Weird. Anyway, I LOVE art hauls especially if the person is excited about them. Plus, I get to see which items get good reviews. Thanks for sharing your haul! :D
Oh my lord is it possible to simp for art supplies because I always start grumbling and sighing in pure joy when I watch art supply hauls, loved the video 💖
Fun haul Kerrie! A heads up on the Pilot Enos. I have them and love them but they are slightly water-soluble so just be aware they'll smear a bit with wet media
Great new art supplies! I always love seeing hauls and favourites because it gives nice ideas what to try. Actually just placed a small order myself the other day. One thing I've been liking lately are the Winsor and Newton Water colour markers. Got a set of 12 for Christmas and they're very nice. I just also like the idea of markers that are water colours. Also really been into the prima watercolor confections, the finetec M1200 pearl colors and the Kuretake Gansai Tambi Starry colors.
I'm the assistant manager at an art supply store so I get to play around with tons of cool supplies. You should try out the stillmen & burn mixed media paper. They go by series and have 2 weights to each paper style. They are one of the best mixed media papers I've come across. Also try out the Mimik kolinsky brushes. They are imitation sable so they aren't nearly as expensive but quality wise I actually prefer them over actual sable brushes. They're fantastic for watercolor and inks. I recommend a size 8,12, or 14 round.
I love the Stillman and Birn mixed media paper! I love everything Stillman and Birn actually :D I also love the Mimik kolinsky brushes, I have a few of those and the synthetic squirrel brushes as well - they're some of my favorite synthetic brushes.
Hi Kerrie, thank you for your great videos. Nice haul!! I just bought the iridescent waterground gesso too! I also ordered the much cheaper one from Crafter's Workshop to see the difference. I use it with gouache where it shines through scraping/texturing of the paint. I used to make it first, but using up all my mica I normally have for polymer clay, turned out to be quite more expensive after all. Looking forward to seeing you put it to work. Enjoy your new precious gems!
Oml people tell me "that's alot of art supplies for one person" and I'm like I use them and if I don't I give them away or sell them. I love trying new things/different types of supplies. Lately I've been stuck on oil painting 😍 and colored pencils😍 I've spent thousands of dollars on my art supplies and it's worth every penny!! It's my job and Passion 💜
The danial smith watercolor ground is so fun! I got the pearlescent white and used it on a wood panel. I also bought the transparent watercolor ground but I hadn’t tried that out yet.
I love it! I would really like to try the pearlescent ground out someday, it would look so beautiful as a base... I'll probably get that one in the future to try out. :)
I'd be really interested to see how the gold watercolour ground works. I can't imagine how it would look with paint on top! Love the colour eno pencils. They work great!
Omg I love this haul! Everything I either love or want to try! I'd love to see oil painting videos. I want to try them but it seems so complicated and expensive to get started. Also that stand is awesome. I need one!
Coming back to this a few months later, i gotta say that pencil case has saved my life! Its such nice quality and i wouldnt have gotten it if not for this video! :-))
Ooh the arches set looks really tempting I think the frugal crafter had mentioned getting a few sets too. I’d love to see videos on oils in the future! Recently I’m really into markers for some reason lol I went on a buying binge of them on Black Friday last year ^^;;;;;
oooo the pastel colors are so pretty :o lately I haven't been doing too much with new supplies. Been drawing a ton on my ipad pro (comic) and sketching on normal cardstock.. actually been sketching with the same mechanical colored pencils :P though I'm more inclined to use the purple one to sketch. I miss painting and I wanna get back into it x.x
Hi !! You inspire me and I love your videos! Drawing is one of my hobbies but I'm not that good at it. Thanks for being an inspiration to so many people (including me)!!
I recently bought myself some cheap pearlescent watercolours. I think the US version would be Artist's Loft? They look amazing, and work really well if you use them more like gouache than watercolour.
Hey quick question do you know what would be the best thing to use for holding down your paper I use some blue tape but sometimes it rips my paper and I hate when it does that
FYI my Art Sphere easel became impossibly wobbly and loose because the ball joint is glued to fit and came loose after a month or two and I need to try to fix it. I'm pretty annoyed with the built quality but the idea of it is really good and it was great when it worked properly.
I have a question, isn’t it flammable. The Gamsol, wouldn’t it be dangerous if you clean your table and the sunlight or candle is near the table. Sorry my English is bad.
IM SO SAD!!! I went to go check out the bag that she had and it looked cool but I wanted the same color and they don’t have it!!!! But I’m going to get the blue one now!
It's comparable to the Peerless medium. The paper is the carrier of the the paint, actually very vibrant watercolor paints. There are 16 colors in that set. It's like an ultraportable travel set if you combine it with an aqua brush, or so. Fits in your pocket.
Omg Doll love the new supplies I love getting new supplies its like a birthday or Christmas every time i open a new supply! I am so looking into the arches block i have a pad of it now but never had the block, what is the difference, is the block better to use?
I love getting new supplies too! It's fun to try new things! The Arches pads and blocks have the exact same paper in them, the pads are loose sheets that can be pulled out and stretched/taped down for painting - the blocks are glued down on all 4 sides so there is no need to stretch or tape down the paper, you just work straight on the block. Once a painting is finished, it can be cut from the block using a palette knife or something similar. I prefer blocks, just because I don't like stretching or taping down watercolor paper. Being in a block also prevents the paper from buckling when you're painting, which is what I like best about it. They're both good options though. :)
MissKerrieJ thank u I really enjoy art supply hauls lol I live through others at times when I can't get stuff myself, it also gives me things to look into getting for myself *^-^* lol

Ohh thanks for letting me know! I like them a lot, but will always stick with my normal pencils for wet media, since I know they're safe to use. :)

Hi !! You inspire me and I love your videos! Drawing is one of my hobbies but I'm not that good at it. Thanks for being an inspiration to so many people (including me)!!
I can’t wait to see you use the vivia colorsheets becauseI also have them and I’m struggling to use them correctly.
I recently bought myself some cheap pearlescent watercolours. I think the US version would be Artist's Loft? They look amazing, and work really well if you use them more like gouache than watercolour.

The Color Eno pens are really great

i love art supply hauls
What is that pad of paper with the color swatches I'm so confused, it looks like something you can get for free at home depot lol

that's really neat! it doesn't get more portable than a pad of paper
So bummed I missed that deal!!!!
