I know in the RUclips world this is an older video. However I just found it. It’s awesome! I have these dies and had no idea I could use these this way. Thank you so much.
Love the tips! Also wanted to share that a Post It Note works well to hold a small piece of paper to be punched that is so small that it can't be held in place with your hands when it is in the punch. SImply attach the sticky portion of the Post It Note to the side of the small piece of paper :D So easy!
Thank you SOOO much for this helpful video! I purchased several tag punches and was getting ready to return one, because I just couldn't get it to punch correctly (Treasured Tags Pick A Punch). But after watching your video, I can now punch like a pro!😂 You are TERRIFIC!
I lengthen/shorten diecuts with my dies, too, with the ones I actually can. That trick with the fancy shaped dies will be helpful with nesting dies that aren't really going to fit for an even border if using the next one up.
Some of my favorite of your tips. I have been a sub for a little over 2 years and was just thinking to myself last night; "How does Connie do it?" You never seem to run out of tips, tricks & ideas. That is just not how my brain works so, thank you, very much, for sharing your creativity!
Thank you so much Connie, I really really enjoyed watching you show us all these amazing tips and tricks with our punches. I’m definitely going to look at my punches in a whole new light. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags.
Brilliant! Another great video with tips I never thought of. One more tip I have is that I use canned air to blow out any pieces and dust that clog the mechanism inside the punch. Thank you again!
Thank you Connie. Those notches for the ribbon have helped me so much. I have always struggled with my ribbons slidding around on me. Now, thanks to your wonderful tip, they stay where I want/need them to.
WOW! I absolutely love these tips, I have so many punches and never used them to their fullest potential. I really appreciate you sharing these tips. THANK YOU!!!
Loved all these hacks .. especially the 'handle' hack... just ran up against that need the other day and had to start over with larger piece of paper! Now I know what to do!! Thanks for all of these tricks!
Hi there, I tried my hand at being a Stampin Up! demonstrator years ago but, just couldn't get much of a following. I LOVED Stampin Up! Making cards and embellishments was so much fun. I was asked to create invitations, place markers and more for my company Christmas party 2 years in a row. One was an Asian theme and the other was Snowflakes. I loved the stamping and heat embossing and the whole creative process. I put in a lot of time (on top of working my regular job) but, it didn't feel like work. I was signed up on my sisters down line and if I could have afforded to, I would probably still be demonstrating. Although I still have my stamps and pads I'm a bit behind the times. I got out of the business just as the new clear sets and supplies were coming out. I miss "playing with ink" on a daily basis. I think you're video has reignited my creative flame (😳 kinda dangerous around paper products, lol!). 😉 Thank you so much for popping up on my suggested video feed and providing that spark.
@@simplysimplestamping Yes, Connie, I had so much fun with ink and paper. It is so different from my life long love of crochet (and now knitting too). I'm planning on getting out my stamps, inks and papers to get back into making pretty things. Hopefully the pads aren't too dried up. I have some refills too but...what's the shelf life on those?! 🤔 Lol!
Wow just pulling the one end through is a game changer! I look differently at so many of my punches, now I can change the size of so many I thought could only punch one size. Thank you!
Love the stretching ideas for making borders. I just realized I could use that with my nesting dies. Sometimes the next one up just isnt the right size. Now I know how to fix the same sized pieces to make just the right amount of edge. Thanks for All of the tips!!
Connie, I am amazed at your creativity! How you come up with ideas to keep putting out videos is beyond comprehension. Thanks for sharing all your fantastic ideas.
Thank you! I have learned so many tips from you that I would have never thought of using my punches to do. I bought the rectangle punch today. I also loved that my punches can be used for a variety of things.
Thanks for all the great tips. Will definitely be using some of them. I just use a sticky note to hold my cardstock if it’s too small to hold while punching.
I just happened to have come across your channel. I'm no card creator by any means, but I adored the "little hacks" you shared to get more uses out of punches other than what they were designed for. I have a few that I use when I want to add dimensions or embellishments to my art journaling pages. Thank you so much for sharing. I'm curious to see what other ideas you have "up you sleeve" 😊. And I've subscribed to your channel 🥰 for ideas on how to use my die cut and embossing machine.
Connie this is an out of the box of tips. This set of tips with punches is a HUGE HUGE HUGE WOW WOW WOW video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This video really took me outside of my thinking box. Thank u so much 4 expanding my brain with what I can do with my punches. Connie I can't say thank u enough. Have a great blessed day.
So nice of you to do these videos, Connie! I love them! You keep your videos moving and I appreciate that! No delays -- you keep right on moving along! Got some great tips! Amazing how you come up with these ideas!
I can't believe some of the ideas you come up with! What an eye! I especially like the last one using the "Song Bird" builder punch. Here's another idea for that punch. When you held that up and you saw a birthday candle, I saw a rain drop! If someone wants to make a card with raindrops it can be done two different ways. You can use the punch and cut "hard" raindrops or use acetate (paper) and cut the shape to make a stencil. You can cut one and move the "stencil" around your card or cut numerous shapes in the acetate (paper) and hopefully avoid moving the "stencil" as often! TFS!
While watching this video I had a lot of “duh, why didn’t I think of that” moments. Thanks for posting this video.
Cheryl, that happens to me too!

Cutting those corners off the 2 way cuts to make a mat for a label-GENIUS! I was afraid of cutting too much:)

The punch used for double twine would make a perfect top of a rectangle paper to make a jar.
Leslye, that is a great idea.
