goodbye and farewell to one of the greatest and most respected drummers in our time. The Reverend used his ludicrously amazing technical ability to fascinate all, even those who had no drumming capability whatsoever.
Always love listening to this song..not my fav but sure beats the top 5. Theres never a bad ime to lisen to it..R.I.P Jimmy "The Rev" Sulliven..u will be missed!
I love this song so fucking much that listening in my PC is not enough. I just keep coming onto this video and read awesome comments! It keeps getting better and better.
I acually searched Avenged on youtube just for a song that fit's a poem i made, but i came across this song and now i listen to this band! There awsome :)
@Jamanidz Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan was their drummer and long time friend and brother. He was many fans' favorite member of Avenged Sevenfold because of his extremely crazy and exciting, yet sweet and kind personality. But as far as music goes he was not only their drummer; he wrote his fair share of songs in the band on drums, piano, lyrics and even guitar. The Rev was also in another band called Pinkly Smooth. He was engaged to Leana Silver and died at age 28 on December 28, 2009. RIP Jimmy :(
Idc what anyone says about Syns playing, this songs solo is one of the best solos he's ever done and will continue to be a reminder of how amazing his sweeping actually is
the rev could never be replaced he is now the missing ingredient in avenged sevenfold. and they were all friends from high school the wouldn't replace there friend
My 5 Favorite Avenged Sevenfold Songs are 1. Save Me 2. The Wicked End 3. Natural Born Killer 4. Betrayed 5. Sidewinder So obviously my 2 favorite cd's are Nightmare & City Of Evil :) Those songs stand out the most to me :) I love them. (True fans have all the cds on disc too! Like me!!)
Dude... When I listen at this MASTERPIECE, I Imagine the Last Judgment... With God and the Devil, with the Hell and the Heaven, with the Earth and all the People praying for being Saved from their sins... It's a feeling that you can only feel when you listen an specific song... And qhen I listen to Avenged Sevenfold I always feel something that I can't explain, but with every single song is a different feeling... It's AMAZING
answer: alot of quotes from the bible can relate to the life now, and it just adds that hint of darkness and sorrow into songs. Its basically something that makes the band try to say something, like a simile for the whole song. Just think of it as telling a story bro, it will add more emotion and feeling to what your listening to, and when you understand the lyrics the whole song will make much more sense to you.
A few years ago, I was making a bonfire with my dad. Well, it was pretty much pure blackness other than the fire. I was watching all the leaves flying into the air as little tendrils of light and smoke, the fire itself dancing and swaying as the fire was prodded, and I was listening to A7X. Then... this song came on. Now the entire song was awesome of course but when the choral singing came in, The music and imagery working together. I swear to god, it was pure nirvana. Almost feel to my knees
@IsicanA7X Like, possibly the greatest use of A7X's songs in a quote, RIP Rev, you may be gone, but you will live on in the music. Your soul will never be forgotten, and from the mezmerizing drum solos, to the backstage antics with the band, we love you Rev. RIP...
@sprinkler5802 true ill admit havent even listened to every song on that album but what i have heard just shuts me down i dont even want to keep listening and the new drummer dispite being a favourite of the rev just doesnt cut it he plays nothing like him i miss the good ol double kick beats the rev pulled off
I can just imagine Jimmy and matt hangin on the couch watchin a tim burton movie then jimmy looks to matt "dude...this is goin into one of our songs" Matt ".....dude...yes,"
This HAS to be their most underrated song ever. If i had to pick 5 they would be: 5. Betrayed 4. Remenissions 3. Strength of The World 2. Save Me. 1. The Wicked End

3:54-4:38 - Sounds like Danny Elfman's style, more spicifically his score to Edward Scissorhands.

3:30-4:38 the most metal part of the song
