The War Rig from "Fury Road" was actually the original one. It was the very first and most long-lived vehicle in the Immortan Joe's armada. The one from "Furiosa" was created later and was meant as an upgraded version. It carried a wider array of weapons and could carry more supplies. As we know, it was destroyed before the Wasteland War broke out.
The rig in furiosa is the original and first war rig. After the forty day wasteland War Immortan decided his new Imperator needed a new war rig. Moving into Fury Road is the one we see through the film.
@@aaronhill8315 Nope. The official tie-in comic book tells otherwise. As I said, the War Rig from "Fury Road" was the first of the Donk's creations for the Immortan Joe. He began work on it as soon as the Citadel was taken over by Joe and the Bullet Farmer.
@RHYANJHAMESPIAMONTE I still prefer the one from "Fury Road," but the new one is objectively a more efficient war machine. Fun fact: the Prætorian Jack was most likely the original driver of Furiosa's War Rig.
fun fact, if you pay attention to the front of the 2024 war rig, you'll find that it's really similar to the one on the people eater's limo, maybe the people eater dug up the old war rig and cannabilized it into his own vehicle after its destruction?
That is practically confirmed. It is also most likely that several truck parts were reused for the war rig, such as the second tanker, which is probably the one in the comic, and the twin engines that I'm sure are also the ones in the comic, a and also the black oldsmobile that explodes and falls on the war rig was probably rescued by Gastown since the same model is seen but converted into a stilt walker in Fury road, and in the game it is seen as a buullet farm vehicle if I'm not mistaken.
@@russbennett5470 I would love to see a vid on Wez’ bike from MM2 OR a vid on the interceptor before Fury road, like how it came about after being destroyed, info from the game etc. thanks
I believe Wez’ bike is some sort of Honda made to look like a Suzuki night hawk using random junk and sheet metal as that particular model just came out at the time and they wanted something more recent looking and the rebuilt interceptor is just that. Max literally just scoured the wasteland looking for parts to rebuild it. Yes it’s the last of the V8 interceptors but it wasn’t the last ever ford falcon or V8 engine
A neat detail about the war rig are its front fenders. They are arms from small excavators, which are also used to move the front ram plow. I'm not quite sure whether using it to create a sand cloud to fight fires was intended when it was built, or just something Furiosa came up with in that moment, but it is definitely a clever and versatile peace of kit. This way the front ram can also be used to lift up things (like maybe jack up a car that lost a wheel), or create a massive sandcloud to hide how many escorts a convoy has, make boarding more difficult, or even as a ruse to pretend a convoy is much bigger than it really is
see mad Max 2 also has several cool vehicles my favorite is the red truck with the snake, although I also like the sports car with ambulance sirens, it is very striking
That one was called the lone wolf and like humongous’ vehicle it was built on a ford F-100 body. The engine in the back was only for show and never actually ran
the smaller Buzzard car for me is a nod to the 1974 low budget Australian horror movie The cars that ate Paris. the lead car in that was a Volkswagen Beetle covered in large spikes
I feel like the Interceptor DOES appear in Beyond Thunderdome but in a barely recognizable role. At the start of the film you see Max on a wagon being pulled by camels and if you look close the wagon is made up of the chassis of the Interceptor. Guess after Road Warrior Max had to drag it with him looking for replacement parts. Could be wrong though, but it'd be one of the few good things about that dumpster fire of a movie.
True, but only the backside of it was left, you can see the two large fuel tanks. And that makes no sense, because the tanks were rigged to explode (and they did), so that part was the first that should have beying destroyed.
I think that was actually a 68 to 70 olds but I’ll have to find more pics as for the fuel tanks they came from a double decker tour bus that was a specific model that was used in Australia so it wouldn’t have been hard for max to find replacements for those
I've heard that Max's wagon in Thunder Dome was made from the original interceptor. Apparently, the dash, roof line and bulk head are supposed to be from an XB Falcon plus the giant fuel tanks.
Personally I feel makes more sense for the Wagon to be a modified version of Papagallo's car from the climactic Tanker Chase in Road Warrior. Its obvious to me that Max takes over that ride after Papagallo died in the climax, since the car itself didn't get damaged at all. In the final shot zooming out on Max one can see the car standing right behind him ready to go. In the context of the universe it doesn't make sense to somehow repair the exploded and burnt out Pursuit Special
Yeah it wouldn’t make any sense repairing that as you would need an entire body shop. But it would make sense to get another ford falcon and start from there. I doubt max would have used popagallos car for very long as there’s not much protection in it

I build my 69 Dodge charger with two twin V8 engines with blowers at each engine that's on that monster has four turbos two pur engine let me tell you this right now this beast is unbelievably fast and is ridiculously loud he even shakes my house when I turn the then car on but I keep getting in trouble for on how loud it is and how fast it goes the car itself will go 485.6 mph but then again it's a car that I use for racing and not driving on the street and the whole car itself cost me a lot of money and it cost an even more to get the engines repaired for the car itself two whole V8 with blowers plus 4 turbo and 4 wheel drive and additional parts to fix the car it around me all the way up to 850,000,000$ so it pays off to be a big time welder and part-time mechanic for 28 years
Even tho scarifying is actually pronounced scar- (rhymes with car) -ifying, I’m gonna let you slide because words are always altered in the wasteland and the war boys might be trying to scare their enemies as much as dedicating themselves to Joe through their brands… 😆
Didn't even talk about the original trilogy either, considering that's when the Apocalypse happened, and it was BEFORE Max lost his wife and son to "The Toecutter" and his Gang in the first film back in 1979.
I have one issue with this video. Why concentrate on the latest ones? All three original films were also in a post Apocalyptic Future. The XA & XB Falcon MFP cars, the motorcycles and other vehicles from the first 1979 film, then in the second one there's more Falcons and then Mopars, Holden Monaro's, Statesman's, Torana's as well Lord Humungous vehicle ect, and then finally Beyond Thunderdome, the camel drawn vehicle Max was riding on at the start and stolen from him was also underneath all that stuff a XB Falcon Ute... What was left of it.😊

Oh yikes how long is the better help contract😬
Plz do it.. do it now.
The Nissan skyline R32 is probably not what you think it is and probably a car that is modded to look like it
Where are the avatar videos bro? been waiting a long time
The fury road cars are crap piled on top of crap. Mad max should have been a 2 part series.
not *cars* but *vehicles* PS- dislike for in video ad, which come at the end, not the beginning.
Make a furiosa pleasas
Carmada
Don’t you dare talk down on thunderKINO like that!
Cranky Frank was an fx not for jsyk
this dude hasn't even watched the movies bruh
Didn't even talk about the original trilogy either, considering that's when the Apocalypse happened, and it was BEFORE Max lost his wife and son to "The Toecutter" and his Gang in the first film back in 1979.
@@aussieausdeutschland4245this is part of a series, he already covered that.
War boys Scare-ify them selves
13:45, The tetanus is strong with this one.
Furiosa is So Bad. I Hate It.
$160.000 for a ford that is not a gt40 um no thank you lmfao!!!!!!
The 70’s era ford falcon XB GT 350 coupe is incredibly rare so that’s probably why
Americans shouldn't talk about Australian cars
Interesting content for sure, but please do us all a favour and use less to non of your face in shot. Relentless face shots .
betterhelp is trash, get a not shit sponsor
I have one issue with this video.
Why concentrate on the latest ones?
All three original films were also in a post Apocalyptic Future.
The XA & XB Falcon MFP cars, the motorcycles and other vehicles from the first 1979 film, then in the second one there's more Falcons and then Mopars, Holden Monaro's, Statesman's, Torana's as well Lord Humungous vehicle ect, and then finally Beyond Thunderdome, the camel drawn vehicle Max was riding on at the start and stolen from him was also underneath all that stuff a XB Falcon Ute... What was left of it.😊
My favorite is the landau from the beginning chase scene in MM2
I just love everything about the vehicles from the franchise. The names, the insanity, the creativity. 🤌
