8 years ago 2012 I played this game for the first time, I was leveling and doing quests, unlike many other players whose first time going to stormwind was by flight, I walked into this city and was amazed by how beautiful it was.
I tried to work listening to the music, but then memories and nostalgic feelings took over. Indeed, wonderful times they were. This world is so much more than just a game. Blizzard managed to create something that stays in your heart forever.
Same feeling entering darnassus for the first time on my little night elf rogue. I loved that moment, but going into stormwind was a blast mainly due how different they both were. Two different cultures it was something to behold.
I will never forget my first time walking into Stormwind as a low level human in vanilla. Stumbled upon it by mistake, not understanding what a 'major city' was, the beautiful big music playing. I must have just walked around for hours exploring the in's and out's. Admiring all of the level 60s in their armor and mounts, which I figured I would never get. Sigh, good times.
For me it was an interesting experience as well. I’m a fully blind player, and they recently gave us a mod to navigate into quests and what not. So we can enjoy the game just as much as you guys. When I stumbled around into the city, just hearing the music, the people, the noises and everything else that came with it was just astounding. I could only imagine what it looked like, but the music gave me something completely new. I imagine it to be a majestic city just brimming with people. Still leveling up, as a level 11 warrior 😂
Started playing WOW on Beta way back in 2004. After starting out at Northshire Valley and then levelling in the rest of Elwyn Forest under all those green trees, to finally come to this amazing city, it was a moment to remember. I used to take so many screenshot in front of those huge statues at the bridge.
I both hate and love you for these. I had finally had enough with the crap that I quit WoW. ...then I hear the music from one of my favorite cities and I suddenly miss it. ....not enough to come back but enough to make me think about it. Lol

Playing this game while in the throes of depression and anxiety in my mid-20s has left an indelible mark on my brain. I haven't played in years, I'm much better mentally than I was, but the feeling of taking a Vanilla character into Stormwind or Ironforge for the first time and exploring is just unlike any other gaming experience I've ever had. It really was something altogether incredible and this music takes me right back.
I'm glad to know you're doing better now. When I played it, I was about 15, which of course was a pretty tumultuous time of life. I do sometimes miss it, especially since I'd now have some friends to play with, but I just can't seem to bring myself to actually go through with it again, cause of how weird and difficult everything was at that time. This music is a bit refreshing, as distant as it might seem now.
A nice city, wish I could visit for real. Fills me with pride that my human paladin is proudly wearing the lion embossed elite 7th Legion plate armor and tabard. 🦁 Also the replica Lion's Fang/Heart transmogs and the Stormwind cape from Blizzcon '17.
No matter how shite the game gets, or how bad Blizzard fall and fall. Nothing will make that Stormwind music not put my hairs on end. truly a masterpiece of a song.
I am Horde all the way, but one of my favourite moments was just peacefully exploring every possible alliance territory and bowing to the statue of Varian in Stormwind.
I have 2 characters each in both factions. I was a hardcore hordie at the beginning during Vanilla, BC and Wrath, I kinda quit during Cata. Came back for Pandaria and decided to roll an alliance toon, after awhile all my char's eventually became alliance. Now recently I just faction changed my 120 rogue into a horde meanwhile I'm leveling up a horde orc hunter, just started him recently and I'm like "damn I miss my horde toons". So now I have both alliance and horde.
@@xmetalearth3922 I really love the Horde, the aesthetics, the tribal feel, sense of honor and so on.. the only thing I don´t like, is the current warchief...
@@FlourEater I would say my favorite races of the horde are the blood elves, tauren and orcs. I love the character models for the undead, but I'm not too keen on their use of biological warfare and such. Orcs do have a sense of honor and tauren's are kind of in touch with the earth and have a native american vibe going on. I kinda dig the trolls too in a way, I kinda like how blizz uses the mayan type culture to present them.
I clear as day remember when I first walked over the bridge, past the statues and into the city accompanied by that first song. More so, I remember the countless hours spent roleplaying in "The Pig n' Whistle" in Old Town. There has been 100s of games after WoW for me, but nothing - n o t h i n g - compares to it to this day. The comraderie, the adventures. I was a grown up when WoW released, and I am even more grown up now, but not a day goes by that I do not miss this game. At the same time, I know going back and start playing again would be pointless. So here I sit, an old man, reminiscing past times and listening to the music that accompanied my adventures for years.
As a horde player I still remember the first time I entered stormwind YEARS ago with a raid to kill Varian and 1:38 will forever be burned in my mind. Heck, I can’t remember the first time I entered orgrimmar.

My first WoW experience was with the free trial version. I made a human warlock and explored the heck out of Elwyn forest. The soundtrack there still hits a special note in my heart. Coming to Stormwind was fascinating since I soon tried to find the warlock teacher. The first time I enter in SW was to kill Varian. I was at Orgrimmar and some ppl started to organize a raid for the achievement "FOR THE HORDE". It was epic, like 60 or 80 Horde Players, all with the flying mounts together. We flight to the montains near SW until everybody could arrive, and them everybody rushed to Varian and it was a complete caos, since there was a lot of ally players trying to stop us. After we finish him, we went to the other capitals and we complete the achievement. WPVP is one of the best parts of WOW. What a night. What a game.

Who still loving and playing wow 24 years ago! Like 👍🏻 here 😊
everyone gone wild about stormwind theme but I'm amazed more for alliance battle theme at 7:38
The first time I enter in SW was to kill Varian.
