The artstyle gives me wuxia vibes, I like it. But yeah, those metal masks... I get it with the block button, I really do, but tbh the better you get at fighting games, the more you start to prefer back for block cuz of extra complexity and advantage in shimmy. It's an acquired taste. I like SF6's solution, where you basically have both block button and back for block.

Agree on you being cautious about Scorpion and Sub-Zero's costumes. That factor can literally make or brake the game for me. I hated default Sub-Zero (my main) in MK11 so I literally decided to pass on getting the game, bacuse of that. I only got it a year later when they made the aftermath expansion and brought in a new better look for Sub, that I actually like (the MK Deception one). It wasn't a perfect rendition of MK Deception Subs, but it was close enough.
Dont know why they treat Scorpion and Sub-Zero being friends as a surprise, since they have been friends since MKX and this is supposed to be Liu Kang's ideal timeline.

Graphical evolution is not important as story and gameplay. People that care about graphics mostly play walking sims and leave after they are done with the story mode pander to the trend chasing sheeps is why titles are tomb raiders are in the garbage bin.

He basically just like Rogue in MK verse, wasn't that strong with his default ability. Is just the same thing with Onaga who use Kamidogu to the point he almost become the second One Being. After that when Armageddon happen, Blaze come and he is the most powerful character during that point. Ed Boon state on the promo vid about Blaze that "Blaze is at the top of the food chain" during that time (which is why the whole retcon of Shao Kahn beat Blaze is so stupid. NRS really just don't care at that time because they wanted to scrap everything and reboot it via MK9). Fast forward, now we have Titan via Kronika's introduction and Ed Boon confirm Kronika was the most powerful character so far, eclipse every previous characters in the franchise. And now Liu Kang is the one who truly hold the title after merging with his own Revenant self and God's essence.
personally not a big fan of "kameo characters" i don't want there to be characters who can only be used to assist me and not be fully playable if playable at all but regardless im still so hyped and I cannot wait for the game to come out

The thing with scorpion and sub-zero "united as brothers" seems to hinr to me that they're both playable at the same time (i.e.: one is a kameo fighter to supplement the other), and of course both will be actual playable fighters. They are "united as brothers" because Scorpion is part of the Lin Kuei, he is wearing their badge on his jacket. Both are staples and will always be seperate characters. Kameo Fighters are guests from other franchises like The Joker, Spawn, Terminator, etc. I really don't know what you mean.

MK X had so many good characters, Takeda and Kung Jin where 2 of my favourites.
Takeda is the only new gen character that MK community love, and guess what he is confirm as dlc in pack 1.
