Just to point it out, Wolverine was apart of the X-men, he just never wore the suit and ONE night decided to go to the bar when they beg him to stay and hangout he gets hammered comes back and they are all dead. So its not that he didn't join the xmen Its that instead of staying with his friends he went to get drunk, and they died because of that (IN his mind etc)
Massive missed character building moment for wolverine to not find out about deadpool's human experiment trial. In the comics wolverine understands what that means just by him saying it and it is an instant character building bonus.

the film goes out of its way to marry the affair with the work on the bomb as Oppenheimer's two great sins. the cast and crew, including and especially Nolan, have stated openly that the point of several scenes in the film is to connect the work on the bomb with the adultery as the two greatest evils Oppenheimer ever committed. and you STILL have numbskulls on the internet who go "idk they coulda just alluded to it 🙄🙄".
Over half way in.. It'd be cool if yu guys were actually familiar with the previous entries in the series. Almost like doing a Deadpool watch through, instead of watching Blade, would've helped.
Juggernaut in the Comics is Magnetos brother and hes not a mutant. He has the helmet cause he was magnetos bro. The thing that doesn't make sense is that hes allowed to keep it in the void place.
I was surprised how much I enjoyed the movie. Of course the TVA being present brings the movie down but I really liked everything else no matter how dumb it was. I got more than I hoped for with this one.
I feel a similar way about DAW as I do about No Way Home. Mechanically, this makes no sense. And frankly, by the end, the film is aware that the thin veneer of worldbuilding doesn’t add up and they stop even trying to pretend there were ever serious or grounded rules here when Madonna music just saves them from the laws of physics. However, like NWH, the character work those shoddy mechanics is in service of was spectacular. I don’t think there was a single joke in the movie that didn’t land, it was consistently top tier humour and the arcs for both Deadpool and Wolverine were great. I mean, the film starts off with literally using Logan’s corpse as a shield and it was still somehow one of the most respectful returns of a character in recent years, wrap your head around that one. But the Chris Evan’s scene was what really won me round. That this was Johnny Storm was such a shocking twist that I never saw coming, it genuinely blew me away that they went that angle, as it’s not a role I would ever have expected they’d get Evans back for. The return of Blade, Elektra and a live action Gambit sealed it even more, I was blown away by not just that they were there, but that they were allowed to be badasses without being undermined. That was such a treat. Is this some great monument of cinema? No. Is it either a completely faithful adaption or a bold new deconstruction of these characters? No. But what this movie is, is fun. It is just a genuinely fun experience that wants to make you laugh and smile, and it exceeds at doing that tremendously. Was it hamstrung by the TVA association? Beyond a doubt. But is what they did with these actors more than worth justifying its existence and more than worth going to see it? Also beyond a doubt.
Blade Trinity was bad, yes, but it was still a lot of fun. And I’d argue to the death that it was a far more entertaining Ryan Reynolds film than Marvel’s Cinematic Desperation. Hell, I’d rather take the Venom Trilogy, Daredevil (2002), the 90’s unreleased Roger Corman Fantastic 4 film, Punisher: Warzone, and the 2 Ghost Rider films.
When it comes to the time ripper, they have a line of dialogue where they say the TVA doesn't like destroying timelines anymore so maybe after season 2 they got rid of the tiny grenade things?
@@555lemonade Paradox says exactly that, that in the old days they’d prune entire timelines so now he has to rely on this time ripper, for some reason.
@@555lemonade it’s ironic. You would think if you suddenly gave yourself the ability to rewrite the pruning grenades, you would present them as more precise. The gate is open wide. @nhagan001 it should've been more like a mini version of the device from season 2 and it could destroy multiple timelines at once aka getting rid of all the fox universes. Makes it more...impactful to the other characters in the movie and raises stakes and it would make sense why it's a machine and not a grenade.
It definitely had a lot of steps in the right direction despite having strange character choices and a weird plot.. the way it handled beloved characters compared to something like MoM cant even be compared.
What if...and the movie doesn't explain so coping...anchor beings are the reason why the timeline split. So wolverine did something cause a split so he is the anchor being. Explains why the universe existed before them and maybe loosely explains why the universe slowly decays after them.

And guest starring the vampire chihuahua from Blade: Trinity! XD
On the topic of sex scenes being necessary the one in Oppenheimer was used contextual to the hearings against him
Yeah but you don’t need a sex scene lmao just have them fall into bed and see them afterwards
Idk, it still felt very gratuitous. I think the film would have been fine if they implied a relationship without ever needing to show it.
