Wealth and physical attractiveness can certainly change the tune of what is and isn’t attractive overall to women in a heartbeat. Guys don’t even hide it. If a woman is attractive, they really don’t care about anything else, at least initially. Guys will make stuff up to justify getting with a hot girl even if she has nothing else to offer 🤣 Then you get older and even that isn’t worth it 98% of the time.
Although this sound highly biased, I have to agree that this is most of the cases. But not every case tho. For exmple outgoing women who love sports or hiking often hate on gaming on my Tinder.
They are also the same ones who ridicule model making, particularly model raiways. In the UK, the latter has been used for years in the media as a shorthand for nerd/ pervert/ any kind of oddball/ any kind of inadequate, and moreover it is a hobby to which most men will not admit to anyone for fear of being laughed at and judged.Apparently, if you work in the railway industry and admit to it, it's a good way to end your career. Whist ones hobby is ones own business, if you want to meet women you are a downer before you even start, and it appears to me tjat very few women have any kind of creative hobby at all, perhaps excepting perhaps playing a musical instrument or amateur dramatics.
If I had a dime for every girl I've met who's pastimes are limited to coffee, yoga, social media attention whoring, and netflix shows... I'd have a shitload of dimes.
My ex-wife got in my face one morning and yelled "If you go fishing today I'm going to divorce you!". My response was "It's a deal!". And I went fishing.
I'm 60. I have been building model cars since I was six years old. When I was in my 20's I had 2 women tell me I should "grow up" and stop building. The first threatened to break up if I continued. I said "okay" and she seemed happy. The next day her crap and makeup, etc was on the front walkway. I never spoke to her again. The second one said she was fine with it but not really. "I needed to grow up" After a year of listening to relentless nagging to get me to stop building, she went and destroyed a few of my cars that I built including one I did when I was 7 years old. I came home from work to find them in the trash. I packed my stuff and left. She said that she couldn't afford the rent without me, and she was sorry and wont do it again. Well you should of thought about that. Yeah. Red Flag. I finally found a decent respectful woman. unfortunately she passed 3 years ago, but never criticized my passions. That is the woman you guys want.
I grew up to real cars and met my wife when I rescued her and her broken car. We had 39 years before she died. I still fix up cars, trucks, and tractors. Good Luck, Rick
Can I humbly say that one of the most unattractive things in a woman is having no hobbies 😂 Every dating profile is “I love wine, travelling and looking for the next adventure.”
I love it when a gal can't even talk to u. She starts out with a whole list of questions. And then when those run out, she has nothing to talk about-smh
Because it doesn't matter what women do; or don't do. Men, & society refuse to have any standards for them, therefore nobody cares. We live in an era where men can't have any standards & women can have unrealistic ones.
I told my girlfriend who lives over an hour away that I play games daily (1-2 hours). It’s a small escape from long days at work. Her response was “Is there an online game we can play together, during the week?“ so, obviously, she’s a keeper.
Least attractive hobbies I find in women 10 netflix 9 shopping 8 drinking 7 psych meds 6 girls' night out 5 star signs 4 gossip 3 nails and makeup 2 tattoos 1 compromising virtue for feelings.
14 blaming her man when something goes wrong even if it was her fault 15 pointing out all of her man’s flaws as if he wasn’t aware already 16 reminding her man of all his failures of the past 17 using very hurtful words when she’s upset especially on her period 18 never take responsibility for any wrongdoing 19 after all the hard times, can still make me the happiest husband and proudest father. So because of that, I will always try to be better because if she hasn’t given up on me, I can never give up on her.
@Weakkneez if video games count as a hobby for you, then binging stupid tv shows/eating out counts as a hobby for them too. And no, it isn't a double standard because you dislike it as much as they dislike videogames.
My wife hates that I play video games. She thinks it's just a big waste of time. Here's the thing though. The bills are paid. The house is maintained. The kids and wife are sleeping.
Why would it be a waste of time? Firstly they often feature cultural references and knowledge not that much diverting from other entertainment and literature, like movies and books. Furthermore at least as a software developer I invest into the code, the mechanical logic, quality, optimization etc. You can learn a ton from a game.
I have model trains. A room dedicated to them. Here's what I have learned: carpentry Electrical (household and low-voltage) Lighting Wall finishing How steel mills work How mining is done How roads are built City planning Materials handling Scheduling Transportation Land rights Bridge construction Heavy industry Artistic painting Traffic systems Road building Electronics Lighting Graphic design Manufacturing Mining Power generation City planning Civil engineering History Artistic presentation If you are wanting to create a world in miniature as your hobby, learning about the real world to model it is amazing. No, I don't wear striped overalls or an engineers hat. It's a nice way to spend snowy winter nights when you want to create.
@@hardrays Yes... two different types: the first is how fences define property lines and rights-of-way (to model properly) and spousal land rights: how much room do I get?) 🤭🤭🤣🤣🤣
@@John-Jay-Allen That's very true 👍 Guys shouldn't dwell on those women (or people in general) that try to downplay their passions. The right woman will appreciate your hobbies
Every woman I've ever dated hated video games "cause they're a waste of time." Then I'd watch her obsesse over celeb gossip and reality TV. Now they have tiktok to swipe on endlessly. They're always their own worst enemy
the fact they can say its a waste of time, yet still find time to watch tv drink go out with other girls or complain about what I'm doing instead of doing something productive on their own is insane to me.
We men shouldn't be doing many of those things anyway. Video games are not a hobby, they are a distraction. That's why people play them, to distract. This is not emotionally or mentally healthy. Men shouldn't play video games, but this fact has nothing to do with women. It has everything to do with the fact that video games are an emasculating waste of time, and we all know this. It's wild that men will spend hours of effort in a game to improve their situation in that fantasy life. But where's all that dedicated and focused effort on making your REAL life better? Yes. Video games are a complete waste of time. Stop wasting your time with them, not to impress any female, but because you know that you should be doing more productive, constructive things, things that will bring palatable positive changes to your life.
@@choosetolivefree I don't have a gaming system. But when I'm done with work/tasks, I really don't want to watch movies/TV. So often they're loaded with woke nonsense. I'd prefer to play some kind of snowboarding game or something like that for an hour or so. I don't see what's wrong with that. Better than vegging out in front of TV.
@@michaeljeffery7466Well, you are in part right, they want to see that you are wanted by other women. It raises their attraction for you, but playing games and being attractive for other girls isn't necessarily at odds. Depends on whether games is your only hobby or just one of many.
So women don't like it when guys have a creative outlet? If she doesn't like my model airplanes, she can leave. Ain't no woman is separating me from my airplanes.I'd rather be single then have someone change my interests, candidly.
Well said, Michael. My younger brother is HUGE into model airplanes. Building them is both skill and art and if a woman is somehow turned off by that . . . there's the door. It's not my thing, but I see what he can do with them and I am IMPRESSED.
Don't worry son. My father was really big into model airplanes, but mom stayed by his side until his passing away for 50 years. Well, he was also into motorcycles and knew how to fix almost anything.
Unfortunately many people, not just women, see model kits as toys, not something you get enjoyment from building, painting and detailing. I have accepted that it is a turn-off for many women but rather be single and keep doing my hobbies than be with someone who thinks they are going to dictate what I can and can't do.
Married 20 years. My husband has always played video games. He’s always home and is a good partner and father. I’m happy he’s happy with his hobby and he’s home with me ❤️.
I believe context is key here. What I perceive, is man that deferred gratification until after work and obligations have been met, then he is entitled to rest through video games, but not at the cost of his home. It seems the conflict here is young men using games, much like an addict, as a primary means of escape, rather than a secondary after a long day's work, is the source of women's complaints. Due to the nature of social media, those complaints are presented as so-called "Rage Bait". The world we live in.
Depends what he was doing with this BMX. If this was his career and the way he makes a living, she's a dumb b1tch. But if he's doing dangerous stuff just for fun, this is very immature and you may lose your life or health for pretty stupid reasons.
If you care what a woman finds attractive, it's game over. Who cares what someone finds attractive. Don't change who are you to appease another person.
Words of arrogance and pride. If you life in society and want the opposite sex, then you must know, what is attractive to the opposite sex. Obviously a fat guy, not taking the shower, with caries and playing video games, living with parents at age 35 is not attractive.
I'm an avid small scale railway modeler. It's a hobby that covers: 1 engineering/design/architecture 2 carpentry 3 electrical work 4 electronics 5 programming 6 art and architecture 7 scenery design 8 fine scale modeling and details 9 historical contexts/accuracy 10 general artistic proficiency I've become more confidant and skilled in all of these abilities. On the side I take improv/acting/stand up classes as well. These classes exercise a different part of my mind. Women see the railway modelling as nerdy and eeeeuuuwwww, while the improv classes as somehting interesting and fun-but they have no desire to come out to performances.
I do model railroading as well and am an engineer (broadcast and video) as a profession. I don't get what is a turnoff about it. It's expensive for one thing so you have to have money and 2nd, you'll know where you man is all the time. In a room of the house lol
I know as a boy, he learnt about electricity with model trains and went on to electrical engineering, travelling the world involved with power stations.
And a lot of the times video games and trolling go hand in hand. And gambling is a graduated form of playing video games, the stakes are higher and your endorphin levels are more intense. Either way, all three don’t do much to make you a more interesting person.
Probably because it isn't clear what they mean by these. There is hardcore trolling which is pretty awful... it can reach levels of criminality, in fact... then there are comics who engage in roasts and people enjoy them. "Don't you dare like comedy!". Even gambling... so unclear. If I like to play poker to relax my mind sometimes... not with money that can't be lost, but if I choose to budget my entertainment according to my interests, why do you and her believe that I'm such a horrible and unattractive person? The worst of the worst type of human? Play a few poker tournaments a year... No Woman For You! lol. I believe the poll is based on the unattractiveness of these hobbies... not "What is the worst type of addiction." All are bad if you take them at their worst... gambles the house away, so obsessed with taxidermy that they kill animals just to do it, watches birds so many hours of the day that they can't even keep a job, et cetera. Come now.
@@Littletime839 Exactly. I suppose the poll worked more like Family Feud so the women just said what was on top of their head. If they'd been asked to rank all those choices instead, the results would have been much more accurate.
I saw another video about how a woman is turned off by guys who play video games. There are things that women do that men find unattractive too, and judging men on BS criteria is one of them.
I grew up around addicts and alcoholics, so if a guy has an activity he does other than getting drunk, whether it be video games, building cars, or watching movies, then it's a positive hobby. I like video games, personally. I don't play them as much as my husband, but I certainly don't judge him for it.
Because most women hold insane double standards, don't forget these same women are stuck into their phones all day and talk about travel or clubbing, things that genuinely destroy themselves we all know most modern women aren't okay when they rather an alcoholic over a man who plays vide games
Maybe it's a weird commentary on our society, the main way a person gets nudged to be more social is "Just go the the bar." Why is so much standard socializing tied to eating in excess and drinking alcohol?
@@FluxNomad678 I grew up in a small town, and usually everyone would get together on weekends, drink, gossip, and MAYBE barbecue lol. I got caught up in that cycle when I was younger, but I became really unhealthy. Honestly alcohol is a huge problem in the country. It's destroyed societies.
Honestly, If you avoid doing a given hobby because some women say it's an unattractive hobby, you fundamentally misunderstand how to attract women. Or anyone for that matter. No one's gonna respect you if you abandon yourself to fit in.
I worked a hobby shop for many years, and i can't tell you how many women would come in for a gift around the holidays or maybe a birthday, and would talk about model building with such distain. They would comment how their brother used to this when he was a kid, or her uncle had r/c planes. But again, it was said with a snear... my question always was, what would you rather he do ? They had no answer ..... other then it was a waste of money. My response was, he could be spending it on booze and loose women.. he is home, safe, and enjoying building something that gives him a sense of accomplishment, is that really a bad thing ?
@@693514V yeah, it’s fine to think something is silly or even stupid, but understand when it makes someone happy and keeps them out of trouble. I love justifying my collection by saying I could’ve wasted it all on drugs and alcohol. Not to mention, even a bad investment is an investment. If you “waste” your money on physical items, you can often get some, as much, or more money back down the line.
Meanwhile, ask a girl what her hobby is, and it becomes clear the majority don't actually have one, and what she does consider a hobby doesn't involve "doing, making, or learning something". It's another one of those double-standards that only ever applies to men.
I specifically don't collect action figures because I don't like the visible joints. I almost exclusively collect figurines with a handful of action figures being the exception. :) And the figurines are in a big part an outlet for my photography hobby and as reference material for my drawing hobby. ^^
Can someone make a list of women hobbies men don’t like. Starting in 1st place: seeking validation on social media. OMG I’m such a controlling misogynist!
Add: 1 celebrity gossip 2 gossip with friends about friends 3 pinining for what others have on social media 4 worrying what her friends think so that she can have the right xxx 5 dreaming of being a Kardashian
not a bad #1....but I think anyone would be hard-pressed to name 10 different hobbiies chicks are into at all...i feel like 1 - Giving a post-work re-cap of your entire day....hint...if someone asks how your day was there is basically only one good answer that can be said different ways "fine" "aight" or "works work"...No one cares about your made up office drama. 2 - Try and make you stop your hobby....and basically try and ruin any fun activity that doesn't involve her. 3 - not knowing what Pangea is
You're seeking validation too with this random comment. Just because you don't show your face doesn't change this fact. Go ahead and come back with a low IQ insult if you choose to
Men should not listen any woman telling him what kind of hobby is not attractive if that man loves to do it. then this woman is not just the right kind of for him. Always follow your passion, never the trends.
I'd suspect most women are against certain hobbies because it takes attention away from them, even if they aren't looking for attention at that time. It is an attention taking thing. Basically it is a woman saying internally and externally "I can't believe he'd rather play video games (or other hobby) than be with me. Me me me... You get the point.
It is this, but it's also that they're only attracted to men who are working for *them* 100% of the time. Their baby, their life, their family etc. Husband as a partner doesn't even come into it. Matter of fact I don't know if women are capable of seeing a man as a partner.
@@CyrilCommando I hesitate to lump all women together, but I think many women look at men as an asset (i.e., ATM machine, gardener, mechanic, etc.) rather than a husband. Personally, I don't even like the term "partner". It makes me think of a business partner or something. I would much rather have a wife.
I really appreciated how you spoke about your dad in the video. It's clear how much admiration and respect you have for him. I’m sure he would be incredibly proud of you. Your perspective and character are truly admirable, and although I am still young and far from thinking about having a family, I can only hope to one day have a daughter with such grace and insight like you.
At the end of the day, a hobby is what you do in your spare time; if she's going to crap on it, judge her every bit as harshly. Because we know most women don't have ANY hobbies.
I think the disconnect here is that Courtney seems to actually like men and respect and value them for who they are as humans and individuals where as many women do not. To many women, men's only value is the utility they offer so if they are spending any of their time or energy on an activity that is not productive for her, it is a waste of time. It indicates an extremely unhealthy objectifying attitude towards men (who are human beings) that many women (sadly) currently hold.
I suppose the question needs to be asked, "Is there something we can give women to do?" Ms. (Mrs?) Courtney makes YT videos regarding human interactions. My mother likes to knit clothing to gift to my little brother's friends and family. Some of them anime themed!😅 Seems to me more women would take up hobbies, as well as appreciate others past time if we appreciate theirs.
As a man I can safely say we have hobbies for ourselves NOT others, including you girls. We could make a similar list of things about women and watch the hate and excuses roll in. Hobbies are not meant for others, they are personal downtime and decompressing.
My gf has no issues with video games; she plays them as much as I do! And her dad plays more than both of us combined. It's exactly as Courtney said - there's someone out there who will like you for who you are, including hobbies.
I wish one day I would find a girl like that as well. Or at least someone who is open minded for new experiences just as much as I am interested being part of her world. Besides why are 'you' even dating if you aren't interested in other people?
Like i said in that comment section The women that find video-games unattractive is because our attention is not always on them and they don't like that
Recently, I have begun dabbling in vintage tube radios from the 60s. A few years ago I started skateboarding again at 53. I had forgotten how fun it was to pump around the beach! I skateboarded with a bunch of 20-30 year olds. I had fun. I also go bike riding and working out at the beach. I love listening to music, I mean really feeling it in my soul type of listening. I haven't ever cared if my wife doesn't like or care to do any of those things. I do it for me only. I always have done things because it's what I enjoy doing. Period. My life will only happen once. So I will do all that I enjoy before its over.
I was with a girl for many years who pretended to be okay with me playing Xbox at the end of a work day or on a weekend to wind down or relax but her true feelings would show during moments of frustration with other things and "your stupid video games" would come up. Keep in mind this was a person who religiously watched Kardashians, Sister Wives, Below Deck, 90 Day Fiance and so on. None of those are bad as a *hobby*. Something to tune in and relax to, just like flippin' video games. It's like what Jim Gaffigan, the comedian, says about McDonald's: we all have our McDonald's (the guilty pleasure or relaxing or comforting thing we know isn't good for us if we do it too much), but the only sin is acting like our "McDonald's" is okay and someone else's isn't. I'm paraphrasing him, but that's basically the point.
Women hate video games because it makes them feel like they are competing for their man's attention against a 'silly game'. Most guys play video games with their friends and use it to go into a fantasy world where, for a few hours, they don't have to deal with work, bills, and the obligations of reality and they have this shared experience with their guy friends.
Video games and anything that will grab your attention for any length of time. Their whole approach to living is an attention-hoarding exercise. She could be sitting doing her own thing or watching a show completely not interacting with you, but watch her start rambling endlessly about nonsense the moment you put some headphones on your ears...and she will 99.999% be completely aware that you are not listening, but still get her panties in a bunch because you are not paying her any attention. She doesn't give a crap if there is nothing to talk about or even if her attention is on something else, as soon as she sees your attention drifting to something else she goes on attention-hoarding mode.
I think that women vastly misunderstand video games (much like sports). There's proof in the statement if you actually understand it. It says @10:39 "Hobbies should involve actually doing, making or learning something" 1) Video games - how is this not doing something? You are experiencing a creative fantasy world (in most cases) and doing things for enjoyment that you can't/shouldn't do in real life. 2) Making something - did you know there are hundreds of games where you "actually make" something? Ever heard of Animal Crossing, Super Mario Maker, Minecraft, etc? You are making creative worlds/levels and making some really cool things. 3) Learning something - can't tell me that you don't actually things from games. You can learn tons of things. Vocabulary, reading, strategy, etc (so much more). You can even learn rules of sports, art (making art - Mario Paint), and thousands more things based on real or fantasy settings. "We don't like them because they are anti-social" There are many different types of games. There are hundreds of games that are played online and with friends. Fortnight, Halo, Smash Brothers, and thousands more. All revolve around being social with friends and working as team(s), etc. There are solo games, and not all games are that way. "They are consumption-based". Umm, all hobbies are consumption based. Movies? You aren't just watching 1 movie the rest of your life, you consume more movies. Shopping. You don't shop at a single store, or only buy a single item. It'd be like "shopping isn't a hobby because it's consumption-based and all you do is buy things". Like what? Can only buy a single top and that's it, because it's too consumption-based. Even "bird-watching" is consumption based. You aren't just watching a single bird the entire time, you consume watching hundreds of birds (over time). Any sort of 'collection' based hobby you consume by picking up more parts of it. Watching TV, you consume more of the episodes of a show - don't just watch 1 show's single episode and call it a hobby. Traveling - you don't just travel to 1 place all the time, (many) people enjoy going to different places. Being a foodie - you aren't consuming a single food from a single restaurant and being a foodie. Wine tasting - you aren't just having consuming only 1 bottle of wine for the rest of your life, you consume other bottles. Like this statement makes no sense.
I dated this lady who used to question my passion and discipline for Jiu-Jitsu and used to say that practicing it 5 times a week was unnecessary and pointless. So I made a proposition: “come to a class with me and if you make me tap, I will quit Jiu-Jitsu.” She agreed. Possibly because she believed she could really make me tap. But the most important thing about my experience was the fact that after that class she loved it so much that she joined the Jiu-Jitsu gym and fell in love with the sport. We are no longer together and she was never able to make me tap, but the moral of the story is: sometimes making the girl you love part of the things you love is the fastest way to obliterate unnecessary criticism. My unsolicited advice: be yourself, do the things you love and try to introduce them to the ones you love. They might end up loving it as much as you do.
@@hihtitmamnan you are correct to say that women are weaker in general. But I have no doubt that there are great Jiu-Jitsu female practitioners out there who could probably subdue us and make us tap out. You either tap out, which immediately obliges the opponent to stop immediately, or you get choked out or have a limb injury or even end up with broken bones. It’s the smooth art of subduing the opponent. Very effective. You should try watching UFC sometime!

Spot on! Women hate video games so much because men can be happy and very engaged without them being involved! And they hate both of these things (that a man is happy, and moreover, happy without her involvement, because this very brightly shows that she's just an addition, not a necessity).
Courtney, I really appreciate your thoughtful breakdown of this topic! As a therapist and combat veteran who works with people healing from trauma, PTSD, and other challenges, it's so important to remember that hobbies and passions are often lifelines, not just for enjoyment but for mental well-being. The problem isnt whats on this list. The problem is that this list exists in the first place. There are tons of things women do that men are not fans of. Not only do we not make public lists complaining about these things we often participate in them when we otherwise would never do them.
I don't play video games at all. However if women are not thrilled about men playing video games they should not be surprised when men are not thrilled with women who are constantly on their phones and social media. It's the same thing!
my girlfriend is also an engineer and in my opinion much smarter than myself. She enjoys playing video games as much as I do and if she didnt like me playing them, then it simply wouldnt work out. nonetheless, I dont play video games every day and there are weeks, sometimes months that I go without playing any. If you cannot appreciate the mathematics and mechanics behind video games, then I dont know if I could appreciate your intelligence as my significant other. Never mind the fact the game graphics industry has created and carried many other depending economic sectors of the economy, which many a banker or politician has benefitted substantially out of servicing. so if you have any interests in these other things and do not know how they may touch your sector of interest, then it tells me you're far more ignorant than I would ever even want to bear in my day to day.

My wife and I both play video games, and we play together often. We also both love shooting firearms and going to car shows, and a lot of other things. We have separate hobbies too; I play guitar and race cars, she loves to paint and garden. We are Gen X, so maybe it's not a fair comparison to younger generations, as societal norms and hobbies were very different when we were growing up. My advice to anyone who wants to be married one day is, find someone who shares a hobbie or has at least some similar interests. It makes doing those things much more enjoyable when you are sharing the experience with your best friend and partner. Plus, years later, you will still be sharing the experience and it will continue to bring you together.
1. As a gamer I can definitely say there is lots of learning that goes into videogames depending on what you play. 2. Video games have stories and a good story can be enjoyed in books, shows, movies, and games. 3. Some folks use games as a social activity similar to talking on the phone. Now with that said i do believe all people, gamers included need to be active to sustain the body. COURTNEY GET DOWN ON RE4, LET'S GO!!!!
Women are probably unattracted to gaming because they see tiktoks of speed yelling at the top of his lungs at fortnite or fifa. Most grown men plays games for a few hours after work, etc and likely play cool single player games
Dam, you are one of the most practical understanding women towards each of these hobbies. I see far less unattractive women get repulsed by so many of these hobbies like collecting or crafts because they just don't care to understand. Good on you!
Oh CRAP. When my mother passed away, I inherited her entire 4700-piece Hummel figurine collection. After 5 years of selling them on eBay, I'm still selling, and yes, they do take up a lot of room... Of course the upside to that is that I've pretty much financed 5 years worth of trips to Europe just off my eBay revenue alone, plus paid my rent and utilities all the while. Still have half of the collection left.
Playing video games is rated as less attractive than gambling. Really? I don't have a dog in this hunt, but I find this a bit strange. Gambling as a hobby raises more red flags for me about emotional health than playing video games. That does not mean that video games are necessarily healthy, but gambling as a hobby can destroy a person's life. You are correct. It is like saying "substance abuse" is a hobby. This is puzzling.

I feel some of this comes from this crazy hustle culture that sees men as productive work horses and not much else. The comments you mentioned about hobbies being “unproductive” or “waste of time” were the biggest indicator. Our hobbies are something we do during our free time that we enjoy, usually on the weekdays after work. Then we make time to get out, be active, and do fun things on the weekends. My fiancée and I have a pretty good trade off. She watches whatever Netflix/Hulu show and Tik Toks she wants while I get to game. We’re in the same room in the evenings and still take some time to talk, cuddle up, and connect emotionally.
I was into multiple sports when I was dating my wife-surfing, skateboarding, hockey, volleyball, soccer, motorcycles, and cycling. My wife wasn't into any of that stuff but she took an interest in it for me, enough to just know something about it. To this day we both enjoy hockey and often go to Kings games as our date night, but in the beginning she wasn't into any of that stuff. She's a bookworm and I don't read. So, we have our own hobbies but we do things together like hikes, travel, movies, and such. Yet we have time to ourselves to do the things we love to do.
I feel like hobbies are a reflection of your personality, Cooking, art, music:creative Reading book: intellectual, curious, open minded Dancing, acting: outgoing, extroverted Working out; disciplined, hard working Volunteering: caring, and compassionate. Learning a language: hard working, discplined, curious, open minded.
@@darealdeal8185 Games can reflect multiple things depending on the genre. Strategy Games = Critical Thinking, Intellectual Adventure/RPG Games = Creative, Adventurous Racing Games/Shooters = Adrenaline Junkie, Quick Thinker/Reflexes Visual Novels(Similar to reading a book) = Intellectual, Curious, Open minded FMV Games(Similar to watching a movie but with choices) = It could be a mix of all of the above.... Bonus...There are active games that you can play for cardio which would be working out, there are games that can help you learn languages...games that allow you to create music or art or help you learn to cook without wasting real life ingredients trying to do so.... and even games that allow you to create other games inside them which would also fit into the creative category. Gaming is so diverse that it's disheartening to see it debased and generalized to all of the popular toxic multiplayer games. (Call of Duty, Fortnite..etc.)
Its sad, because I'm pretty sure most of us don't give a crap about the hobbies of women, as long as we're getting the love and attention we desire from them on a consistent basis
My hobbies mainly consist of learning historical stuff, primarily around US History, guns, trains, and lighthouses, being a grill master, and embracing the fact that I’m a stereotypical Wisconsinite. Who cares if a woman or women find what I do unattractive. I’m going to embrace my real self instead of faking who I am.
Love Wisconsinites, my mom grew up in Appleton and my grandma lived there till she passed. Great memories going to wisconsin for Christmas to meet the whole family. Sitting around the fireplace while it was snowing outside, telling stories and eating frank and pats pizza and Italian beef sandwiches. Very different vibe from the SF Bay Area that I grew up in. Love me a good brat and goin to the timber rattlers games sheeesh good times.
For anyone who's wondering who was surveyed, the answer is no one. That graph was a joke which has been presented as accurate. You can tell because the responses are listed in 5-point increments. There is no reason that an actual chart containing real data should look like this.
I have to imagine this is ragebait knowing how TikTok and X is like a content form of ultra-possessed food. It's there to get engagement and make people mad. But even if I took it as is, the idea that every single thing I do has to consider a woman's attraction is the most life denying thing in the world.
If a woman is attracted to a man, she'll get along with his hobbies as long as they are healthy hobbies. Don't change your personality based on what women like, if you enjoy video games and you're not an addict, enjoy it and don't let anyone keep you away from it
Hobbies are things that we men enjoy. We don't have these hobbies to please women. A lot of women don't have hobbies and they are bored to death. That is their own issues that they need to deal with. Men can entertain themselves with hobbies so that they are not bored. it is also healthy because men like to be creative and they like to fix things. They like to be skilled at certain things.
The issue with this is many men play video games. Maybe the stigma lies in the perception that these video gamers are playing non-stop and have no lives. This is very far from the truth with my guy friends.
I've always loved video games, been playing games sense I was 6-7 years old with my older brother. As time as gone by I play video games less than I used to though. Right now my main priority Is showing up to work on time and being the best employee I can be. Outside of work I do enjoy playing video games but over the past few months I've been dedicating more time to weight lifting and being active. The stereotype of "men who play video games don't do anything else" doesn't apply to me in any way lol.
@@1D4ever If women want to play this game, maybe its not worth bringing up until she's in love with you, after 8 dates or so. Just talk about your other hobbies.
I would say video games are so overstimulating and immersive, they can be really addicting for a lot of people myself included. I’ve wasted so many summers of my life playing COD 8 hours a day it really is hard to put down once you’re really into it. I think also the fact that playing online, every match is different and you never know what you’re going to get is kind of like virtual gambling and a huge time suck. VG is more addictive than regular tv shows, movies, or music.
But isn't it interesting too how many game journalists insist that "girls are gamers too" and supposedly games need to be made to include them. This data specifically contradicts that, most girls don't like playing videogames and find it awful.
Thank you so much for your take on this. I also enjoy a lot of hobbies that others may find a little boring or nerdy. Just like your dad, I enjoy building miniature action figures from scratch and I write stories about them. I also love building miniature cities with highways, roads, buildings, trees, countryside, etc. I’m also extremely interested in trees and landscaping, and I have grown, cultivated, and planted nearly 50 trees throughout my community. Many hobbies that are deemed unattractive, are deemed that way because they are unique and therefore not understood. This is why I think that hobbies our society finds attractive are probably pretty generic hobbies that don’t involve much depth or creativity. Having unique hobbies makes you stand out as a person and sets you apart from the endless crowds of conformists. I think that’s something to be proud of.
Gambling not being the first shows the problem with most of women’s thinking I’ve lost $18k in 1 and half years 😢; I won $7k during the World Cup then lost $25k
It's very good that you admit you made a mistake. Although too bad you had to learn it the hard way. I always thought it's very obvious that gambling is making huge money on risky people. Why would they want to give you the money in the first place? Money doesn't grow on trees.
Popularity = Slavery I wasn't very popular when I was in elementary school. But giving myself a little credit: I never wanted to be popular. I saw the looks in the "popular" kids' eyes; they were miserable. Even their smiles were fake and I saw that. They were into all the same things I was into, but they were popular because they hid it and I was unpopular because I didn't hide it. They weren't allowed to be themselves because they'd lose all their friends if they did. They were afraid of getting beat up by the big kids. They saw me getting into fights all the time and getting beat up all the time and they took it as a warning as to what would happen to them if anyone found out they were anything like me. In terms of these "unattractive hobbies" I would much rather be single and be myself than be with a woman and stifle myself. I don't play videogames much (I do play but not very often), but I do collect trading cards, which I guess is the same category as collecting comic books, but I'm not giving that up anytime soon.
Back in school days I was never a popular kid. I'm still unpopular as an adult. I didn't like being unpopular as a kid, but as an adult being unpopular feels liberating.
Great vid. Me, 58 yo straight man going through a divorce (it sucks, would not recommend it). Successful MD. I am honest with myself, often brutally honest. There are 8 billion humans on this planet and we are all unique in some ways. For me, Video Games was an outlet of the stress of life. Realized slowly that it was becoming an addiction. So stopped it. End of story. My Ex liked K Dramas, also an MD. I would get into some of them, even enjoyed them. I didn't resent her for that, she is a different person from me. But she could not get over my near addiction to Video Games and intermittent porn binges. I tried hard to explain to her why. But she wanted thinks her way, Boss Babe wannabe. Human relationships are complicated and complex. Give and take is vital for a successful relationship. We eventually reached an impasse where we could not compromise. Unfortunately, this sometimes happens. Like your vids, almost like therapy from a different perspective. Great vid!!!!!
Any "hobby" can be perceived as unattractive if abused and not used responsibly. Video games get such a bad reputation for everything nowadays, but what most people don't realize is that the video game industry is a bigger market than the film industry, and video games have such great storytelling that will leave you crying during sad moments because video games can be so immersive.
The difference is that with movies and TV shows you can sit together on the couch and enjoy them, whereas with video games the experience that most women probably have is that their boyfriend sits hours on end playing online shooters with his buddies while ignoring her completely. Try playing a co-op game together instead and you might get a different reaction.
My hobbies are road trips, swimming, taking the boat to the lake, motorcycles, playing in a band, shooting pool, taking my dog on adventures. Mostly things my girlfriend can enjoy also.
Who does any of these things? REAL hobbies, 1, Fishing, 2, Boating/kayak.ing/water sports 3. baseball/ football/basketball/soccer/golf/tennis 4. motorcycling. 5 Aviation 6. shooting/archery 7. photography 8. painting 9. playing musical instrument 10. classic cars THOSE are honnies!
Real hobbies? Those are just very popular hobbies. It's kind of boring to just do what everyone else is doing. A hobby can be whatever you want it to be.
Women can't dictate what a man’s hobby should or shouldn't be i mean if she dosen't find it attractive he shouldn't have to change it for her if he loves doing what he loves doing she can't change his mind
I had this epiphany a couple of years ago. If you are living your life to be "attractive to women," that is a recipe for insanity. That means you are trying to please some mythical archetype that isn't even real. Just live your life as you see fit. Its such a relief! You should not do a damn thing to "please women," that is to say, people who don't even care about you, just what you can do for them.
East Asians have a statistically different relationship with gambling than other groups. The impulse seems much stronger. I'm not an expert, but that's what I've read on it.
If you can support them well they will allow you to do whatever you like. Of course not all of them. Many do know they already hit the wall. There are more girls than men. More better looking too. Men have choices. When you support them you also support their family. Western is more independent as they get paid better than Asians. Decent looking western women are very few available. There are way more men than women. Attitudes are often worse. Most are overweight. They cost more. Asians is a straight up transaction. Western is indirect transaction. Whatever, in the end they are all crazy. Just more or less. I will give up my hobby if I want to. I would listen and decide on my own if I want to give up my hobby.
Well, it's no wonder I'm single... I play video games, collect coins, and enjoy birds. Sucks to be me I guess! Nope, I enjoy my life because I do things that bring me happiness. Ex wife had a serious problem with me playing video games. I only played while she was at work but I still played them. She equated that to "cheating" on her because I enjoyed them so much. Now I find enjoyment spending time with my sons and the occasional video game. Turns out I played them mostly to escape her nagging it seems. :)

Men shouldn't play video games, but this fact has nothing to do with women. It has everything to do with the fact that video games are an emasculating waste of time, and we all know this.
This! And the money spent on said hobby.
Bingo!
She disrespects a man when she mocks his hobby.
Men can do something about this; by enforcing standards for women.
I suppose the question needs to be asked, "Is there something we can give women to do?"
Ms. (Mrs?) Courtney makes YT videos regarding human interactions. My mother likes to knit clothing to gift to my little brother's friends and family. Some of them anime themed!😅
Seems to me more women would take up hobbies, as well as appreciate others past time if we appreciate theirs.

The women that find video-games unattractive is because our attention is not always on them and they don't like that
Especially if you are dealing with a narcissistic woman.
"None of those are bad as a *hobby*."
I've gotta disagree, man. You have to be a very shallow person to care about some celebrity life.
I’m a proud collector of nerdy things and hobbies. I’m not changing who am I and what I love for no woman. The right one will join me.
My SIL is a gamer so I told my daughter to leave him alone and let him. She has her own hobbies: needlepoint, reading, modeling. Etc.
I think that women vastly misunderstand video games (much like sports). There's proof in the statement if you actually understand it. It says @10:39 "Hobbies should involve actually doing, making or learning something"
1) Video games - how is this not doing something?
"We don't like them because they are anti-social"
There are many different types of games.

Plus, years later, you will still be sharing the experience and it will continue to bring you together.

Don't change your personality based on what women like, if you enjoy video games and you're not an addict, enjoy it and don't let anyone keep you away from it
Oh I just love that woman think I care, hobbies are personal.
Its not worth a justification

3:30 Courtney is going to talk about video games?!?! I’m in.
Gambling not being the first shows the problem with most of women’s thinking
I’ve lost $18k in 1 and half years 😢; I won $7k during the World Cup then lost $25k
That sucks dude. I hope you were able to get your gambling under control
It's very good that you admit you made a mistake. Although too bad you had to learn it the hard way. I always thought it's very obvious that gambling is making huge money on risky people. Why would they want to give you the money in the first place? Money doesn't grow on trees.
Exactly WHY this is arguably WORSE than a drug and/or drinking problem; the potential to lose HUGE sums of a money in a VERY SHORT period of time!
Gambling is considered a vice, not a hobby. I have no interest in casinos or even lottery tickets.
Popularity = Slavery
I wasn't very popular when I was in elementary school.
I came up with this saying years ago:
"Since I'm not a popular person, I don't have to make popular decisions."
Facts
Back in school days I was never a popular kid. I'm still unpopular as an adult. I didn't like being unpopular as a kid, but as an adult being unpopular feels liberating.
I'm not giving up my model trains for ANY woman. Not even if you are 1990s Claudia Schiffer, sorry gals.
Bro! I worked with her cousin years ago. But never got to meet her unfortunately. That was a long time ago.
Also, so many people make such a great living playing video games... and in some cases, are more successful than your typical person with a degree.
@UnknownMann
"so many" LOL
About as common as lotto winners or pro athletes.
@@rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr1 yeah that's right
The best story driven games are better story tellers than film and TV.
My doctor just diagnosed me with a severe lack of awareness.
That came out of nowhere
😂😂😂
🥁🥁 "can't find cymbol Emoji"
☠️Clever, bro. I'm stealing this one!
😂
I am the humblest man alive.
The only hobbies that women would approve of would be the ones that they themselves would benefit from.
Who does any of these things? REAL hobbies,
1, Fishing, 2, Boating/kayak.ing/water sports 3. baseball/ football/basketball/soccer/golf/tennis 4. motorcycling. 5 Aviation 6. shooting/archery 7. photography 8. painting 9. playing musical instrument 10. classic cars
THOSE are honnies!
It's possible to have a hobby and a honny.
Real hobbies? Those are just very popular hobbies. It's kind of boring to just do what everyone else is doing. A hobby can be whatever you want it to be.
I do nature photography, fishing, and archery, but women never want to hear about those either 🤷♂
Good Lord, not everything needs to have an attractiveness level.
I haven’t watched the full video but I have a feeling that model railroading is on this list🤣
You are correct. I wonder if that's why Rachel Hunter divorced Rod Stewart.
Called it, lol
Join the club, brother!
An asian man once told me that asian women will put up with a side piece over gambling...because eventually the man will get tired of women.
East Asians have a statistically different relationship with gambling than other groups. The impulse seems much stronger. I'm not an expert, but that's what I've read on it.
@@Sensorium19 It's called simple observation..nothing wrong with noticing reality.
It is a fictitious survey taking a swipe at video games. Appreciate your rational outlook.
