  • Follow Search-Master Stephen Rouleau as he trains the new volunteers for Sault Search and Rescue.
Taking place at Hiawatha Highlands, new recruits were trained on GPS tracking, using a compass and radio equipment while inside the dense forest to train for real life scenarios.
Sault Search and Rescue is a long-standing volunteer driven program that has been helping find lost people since 1958.
During a typical year, Sault Search And Rescue logs over 4000 volunteer hours and responds to land, marine and air search & rescues, numerous community service events and many training activities.
