This beautiful and powerful Hymn is sung in almost every Church. It is also known as: When Peace Like A River Attendeth My Way.
I start this arrangement in B Flat for the first three verses and elevate to C Major, couple the Swell Manual to Great and add a nice Bombarde Pedal. If you are using Headphones you will hear the nice spatial separation and Bombarde Pedal ( Fasten your Seat Belt ).

Beautiful hymn of comfort and encouragement
I can remember listening to this hymn after I went through a pretty tough breakup with my last significant other in July of 2017, Brother Lance. I'm a straight man who is still waiting on God to send him the woman He intended for him to be with. I learned the hard way that I need me a country girl who shares my passion for beef cattle ranching & tending to other farm related work after all. I also learned that if a woman isn't willing to help me out when an extra set of willing & able hands would be greatly appreciated, then she's just not worth hanging onto. Hopefully, the Good Lord will bless me with a woman who is willing to help me out not just because I need her to but because she'll want to. But it is well with my soul because it was God who made it that way, not me.

However, a man should always respect each woman's/girlfriend's/life partner's own rights even if she and I quote: "isn't willing to help me out when I need her to". Maybe she felt that the household chores were her responsibility and that the "beef cattle ranching & tending to other farm related work" was not suppose to be on her list as additional obligatory chores. In any relationship the division of chores should be equally and mutually respect. Your girlfriend did scarafice to live with you. What more do you want/expect. Remember she is not neccessary your property. Anyway it is proven that couples who have the most divergent fields of work/interests are the most successful. (Unless in your private engagements you were too overwhelming!!?)
@@menotyou8594 My last significant other never sacrificed anything for me in one way or another because we never lived together in the first place. I'd always hoped that she'd at least take an interest in helping me out with the cattle related work but guess what she never did. She also never once came out to my family's ranch just to visit me either because her control freak parents didn't allow her to drive anywhere outside their home town.
She was always pushing me to get a job outside the my family's ranch without lifting so much as a finger to get a job herself because she never understood that the ranch is my job. And don't accuse me of being overwhelming in my private engagements because that wasn't the reason why we broke up. The reason we broke up is because she was never a real woman, she was nothing but a severely immature child with delusions of fame & fortune.
I spent far too much time & energy just trying to keep her happy & now I know that's not anywhere near normal in any relationship that involves true love. A woman should try to make her man happy just as he should try to make her happy in return. She was always rattling on about her so-called need to be happy by moving there; buying that, doing this, that or something else like the spoiled little brat she always was. She cared far too much about her own happiness. I learned pretty quick after we broke up that she never really cared about my happiness in life at all.
Such beautiful music makes me feel that the Lord God is closer to me than I actually think. Thenk you so much Mr Lance

I first heard "It Is Well With My Soul" was when the Church Choir sang it as an Anthem at home (Macduff, Banffshire, NE Scotland) 1962, Lance. More than a quarter of a century later, I learned to sing the "It is Well" of the Chorus at a Funeral Service in what I call the Pentecostal Kirkie (Church) near Aberdeen Harbour. An older man standing beside me seemed to guide me. It's lovely, as is the whole Hymn. God bless. Charlie, in a windy, rainy Aberdeen.
