    This is the problem I run into going against other big guys at my gym when I play lasso as they try to work to the open side and pin my free leg. Thank you!! I never get to my elbow or hand to increase the leverage. Will be working on this tonight!!! Thank you again for the content Professor!

      please try that and let me know, playing lasso all the time you need to focus on small details bottom leg is one, go up on your elbow is another, and try to keep your hip free, there is a video of some tips to avoid mistakes here ruclips.net/video/LV0Q4VISjIg/видео.html and a video a bout lasso vs bigger guys this will here you ruclips.net/video/FqZbk2__vEY/видео.html BIG OSS

    The over -under counter/sweep at 13:00 is one of my favorite high percentage sweeps. I’ve pulled it countering toreando pass attempts as well. Sadly it isn’t available in no-gi

    Nobody has ever pointed out to me that coming up on the bottom elbow/hand as a solid defense to the pressure pass. Thanks!!

    At 8:43 there are other situations where you change the grip of the lasso like that?
    If so, I hope you will do a video for that. It looks so cool and interesting tool!

    I feel like downside of turtling up to defend in competition is that although you are safe as a lasso player, your opponent gets an advantage from you turtling. I lost a fight gust like this. I turtled with a lasso, recovered, but opponent got an advantage 😢

    • @BIGOSS.JIU-JITSU
      @BIGOSS.JIU-JITSU  Год назад +1

      Yes but learn how to play the game buddy, don’t give them the advantage haha try to connect a omoplata when you recovery 😉
