Misc: KISS interview on Headbangers Ball May 1992

- This one is deep down from the vaults: In May 1992 KISS released their album Revenge, played some shows in the U.K. and shot the video for "I Just Wanna" at Park Royal Studios on May 23rd. MTV's Headbangers Ball covered this with a special 2 1/2 hours edition of the show, which was aired on May 31st 1992. Here you can see the interview, which VJ Vanessa Warwick did with the band.
Great memories for me, because I attended the show on May 21st at the Wembley Arena. I ripped this from the old VHS tape. I appologize for the a little bit asynchronously sound. Enjoy, give comments, and "like it"!
as an interviewer she stood her ground. they tried to direct her in her questioning and she stayed the course. Listening to her questions I also wanted to know those answers. I understand it was a delicate time and moment for them and those who supported Eric~ But you just don't say at a time like that....next question we are only here to promote our new album. Just my thoughts and my opinion. It didn't show a lot of class or homage.

My personal experiences with Eric Singer are the complete opposite. Having met him casually, he was a very down-to-earth and real person quite personable to talk with. Usually it's how one's approached as to how they react to a person.

I'll never understand why they didn't bring Bruce back, but I think Tommy is a great member of the band.

Weird...I just put it together in my brain: Peter Criss, Eric Carr (RIP), and Eric Singer were not tall guys.
That having been said, this time period was a good way to KISS the 80s g'bye, and get back to raw 3 chord crotchrock. Domino? Take It Off? Thou Shalt Not? I Just Wanna? Unholy? That jam that became Ace Frehley's "Breakout"? That killer Eric Carr drum solo?
The right KISS at the right time. Loved it then, love it still.
Paul is not very convincing talking about how sad they are about Eric, and Gene gets fed up with all the questions about their deceased former member. He also lets out a laugh after a sensitive question as something falls in the background. Uncomfortable viewing. In reality, Paul wanted Eric out of the band even before he got ill.

I feel Kiss was over talking about Eric's death. The interviewer needs to move on. Kiss lost a great friend when Carr died, but clearly, they are ready to move on. I am a huge Eric Carr fan, but I am so glad they didn't quit!

I love how they uphold revenge, this is them at their worst. The album isnt that great and the tour BOMBED! simply it wasnt near as great as us kiss fans believe, and why do they haft to always put other bands down, THEY were the ones who made the elder for fucksake and they speak of bandwagons??? Thats all they have been on since 1979
