This quest was so wholesome for no reason. I loved the npcs especially Cyrus and his relationship with everyone lol. I'm also so happy that all the fanon interpretations of Cyrus turned out to be closer to the truth
Sumeru story is almost always the best genshin story, except nilou. Fontaine is better in terms of exploration though, god I hate the 69 different mechanics in sumeru and how big yet empty most of the place is

I believe this is what Kaveh talk about alHaitham in his character profile, " he's smart, and sure, geniuses often come with a bad temper, but that's only half the story with him... He knows perfectly well how to appear friendly and likable to others, he just doesn't want to." Means this always happen but he never show it on public nor to other people.

I loved this quest a lot. It was so wholesome, like meeting with family you haven't seen in a while. I also loved the dynamic between Cyno and Sethos and the latter's characterization. They were both so mature about this and I'm happy they'll stay friends. And that speech before the duel, so powerful. The VAs did a fantastic job. Now I'm just praying Sethos is in the first half so I can get him as soon as I can.
Genuinely might just be my favorite sq. The way they gave us lore abt the temple and how deshret’s civilization relates to it all, 2 whole ass cutscenes, expanded on Cyno’s and Tighnari’s relationship, elaborated on the relations between the students and their masters, haikaveh character growth (genuinely shocked how well hoyo wrote them here), having so many of sumerus playable chars be implemented without it feeling forced, small Lisa teaser at the end😍😍😍 Hoyo has been eating these recent sq’s uppp
Yep. And all that added with the fact that everything that has cyno is already good for me, seeing him finally get his backstory and moment in the spotlight (his first quest was okay but it doesn't even compare) really made me happy.
i love how alhaitham and kaveh haven't fought once in this, and tighnari and cyno's friendship is so nice that im envious haha. collei's grown alot too and faruzan's attitude was funny but valid. the cyrus and naphis was a fun part too
I just love how Hoyo has been adding more characters to pass by with in the recent story quests like Navia, Yoimiyas, and now this! Its so refreshing to see how lively the whole place is especially after the whole cast has been introduced before the story quest. It makes it feel like Genshin is more alive than usual. Also it makes it so that we wont have to rely on the Archon quests for character interactions and also to relax and watch our friends do their own thing!
Also, I don't know about you, but from all regions so far, Sumeru's cast seems to be like...the characters really have a bond and we can see it. We got stuff back in Mondstad with some characters (Dilluc-Jean/ Dilluc-Kaeya) and the Liyue gang (Xiangling, Xingqiu, Chongyun/ and Hu Tao- Zhong Li), but Sumeru characters really feel like they're friends and all. I love these little moments of just casual chatting or hanging out, like wer've seem in Al Haitam demo with Cyno, tighnari and Kaveh in a tavern.

Venti wouldn't offered much since the boss related to him already in Archon quests Furina also didn't get 2nd lines as Arlecchino doing it herself (It's also Lyney 1.5 TBH)

I looked it up, and apparently, the english voice actor for Sethos is Zeno Robinson. Who if you dont know, plays many iconic characters like Vanitas (The Case Study Of Vanitas), Hawks (My Hero Academia), and even Hunter (The Owl House.) Which just made realize just how much this guy voice acts for young people with parental issues 👀
OH SHOOT NO WONDER THERE WAS SOMETHING ABOUT SETHOS'S VOICE! Hunter... it's been so long since I last thought of The Owl House. But anyways, Sethos's voice is great!

Why are the story quests getting SO LONG?? Is it just me or were all story quests before this like an hour and a half We're getting 2 hours and 20 minutes, really unusual
I think they mostly do this when story quests have a good amount of world lore in it . But if they are just done to make us know the character better then they would be shorter .
The Story Quests recently have been lacking. Out of Fontaine Neuvilette’s was the only one I genuinely liked. But Cyno’s story was so sweet and a little bit sad. I really enjoyed it. Didn’t know I needed to see Baby Cyno until now.😭 The fight scene was the best i’ve ever seen in Genshin. I hope we get to see Nahida and Hat Guy soon.
