I grew up in Edinburgh during the 80's and your video brought back so many happy memories. That was probably Prince's Street during its heyday. When it was worth heading down town. Now it's sadly just a shadow of its former self. All the iconic buildings have since disappeared.
I've nothing against poles living in Edinburgh born and bred here more worried about the migrants polish people work for a living migrants get the lot for nowt!!!

I went to Royston Primary back in 80s
before tourism ruined Edinburgh, it's quite strange now to see normal civilian traffic go along princes street. Great nostalgic video.
Not a phone shop in sight ! I grew up in edinburgh and was 14 when this was filmed , i remember the sprinter buses .

Choose life. Choose a job. Choose a career . . .
15:20 Granton gas works. I miss seeing all three of them. They really dominated the north Edinburgh skyline.
I was aged 8 on the 16th June, 1 day before this video was made ❤
If the date is correct, my twin and I were born not far from here, two weeks later. Wild.
I was a twin too, identical - born in 1985 and across in Kirkcaldy, Fife -
Edinburgh castle
