Gotta give it to Pavel, he really knew how to sell it, I must have read dozens of his books and got hooked momentarily. Kettlebell forever changed my life for the better. Your channel became a true, respectful, library of kettlebell knowledge! Power to you!
His writing style is also powerful and unique! He really changed the physical conditioning landscape with his approach! Thanks for the love brother! - Gregory
Great overview of Pavel's success! The success that Pavel and John DuCane had with kettlebells has also opened the way for other "forgotten" or less well known modialities such as clubs and mace. Keep up the great work - Cheers!
@@lebe-stark ??? What are you talking about. You used to put out great videos. But after you got you high subscriber count you have been putting out tons of click bait titles and other nonsense. Calling someone out is not being negative. It's responsible and its for teaching purposes. No different then what you do. It's.funny how you didn't address my comment instead you say someone is negative 🙄🤣.. I have been commenting on your videos for the past 2 years ( all positive) so when a few negative ones come to the forefront you get all butt hurt. You sound like Ryan shannahan, can't take criticism 🙄
I have met Pavel several times and knew him both online and in real life. He not being in a military is not accurate. He had 2 years conscript as a trainer for Spetsnaz. The RKC forum had both versions. One open for everyone and another exclusive to RKC instructors. Instructor version was awesome, simply Pavel was constantly posting ideas. Imagine Albert Einstein posting ideas to us every day. I give credit to Dragon Door, given there were only 5 employees running both certifications and circulating kettlebell hardware around the world. One employee recruited his mother to do set up for certification, another recruited her daughter when they were shorthanded. Next time if you ever talk to John Du Cane, might be interesting to hear about a security guard/St. Paul policeman named Cortez who became a senior instructor while guarding the certification sight.
Another great video Gregory. I started with kettlebells in the very beginning in '01 or '02. The forum was excellent for sure. I absolutely loved it back in the beginning. Looking back I don't know if I would have had any interest in kettlebells had they been marketed as a "sport", or had I been exposed to the GS style. I am a martial artist and I bought the Dragon Door advertising hook, line and sinker. Over the last couple of years I have embraced the GS style and prefer it, but there is definitely a place for the Hard Style, it's very effective for what it is. I am interested in the history of kettlebells and need to do some more research on when competition bells were developed. My understanding was that the DD bells were copied off of the ones Pavel had brought over. I worked with him once just he and I on Santa Monica beach and he had a 24 and 32kg that were not new. They looked very, very old. And I have seen many pictures of those type of bells from long ago. I am very interested in finding out with all the advertising DD did where and when he achieved his master of sport title. I would love to see you interview Pavel Macek and Taco Fleur someday. God bless.

@@lebe-stark Absolutely! Thank you for your great work for kettlebell community!
I went to a StrongFirst kettlebell introduction workshop in 2014. It was not long after the RKC & SF split. Most coaches followed Pavel.

Good call! Thanks for sharing Ralph! - Gregory
Lebe Stark rules!!! Thank you for all the great info you provide.
Thank you; glad to see you appreciate our work! 💪💙 - Gregory
Great video Gregory, thanks as always 👍
I love when others say why others are successful. Instead of asking him personally.
Your negativity on almost all of our videos is unfortunately remarkable. I hope people treat you with love, empathy and respect IRL. 🙏 - Gregory

Thanks for sharing! Him not being in the military is information relayed by John DuCane to me. - Gregory
