Marvel Comics have historically been ahead of the game when it comes to character diversity in their stories. Black Widow was an advent of the 70's but Jean Grey (Phoenix), The Invisible woman from the Fantastic Four and The Avengers' Wasp have been around since 1962 and have ALWAYS been staple characters within that universe. I just wanted to give credit where its due.
